Title: Running
Description: swim away! swim away! o.O

bloodless_child - December 28, 2004 07:35 PM (GMT)
Liv fell into the darkness, landing crouched on all fours like an ebony feline. She moved swiftly permitting her companion room to land and felt the awful texture of the moist wall against her bare back. She cringed as she looked around. It was eerily silent. She had never actually been here ... but she felt strangely at home. She could feel so many eyes upon her, watching her careful movements.

A chill laced her spine ... why did she want to go in here?

She could hear the soft thud of her companion landing and the drone of the sirens. The rays of light flickered across the walls casting awful shadows. A few shouts rang out, and a few police bounded into the sewers in pursuit. Liv turned towards them with agitated heat, prepared to pull the heart from their chests.

Nacrosix - December 28, 2004 08:10 PM (GMT)

Nacrosix landed beside Liv. He turned as he heard the police following. Then placed his hand on Liv's shoulder before she moved to intercept them.

"No, I have a couple of, lets say pets down here."

Without waiting for her to respond he gave out a shrill whistle, and smiled as the sound of eight paws came down from behind them.

Two black wolves came down the pipe behind them. Nacrosix smiled:

"Meet Wraith and Specter, both wolves as you can see, but both are my servants, Ghouls you could say. Let me show you what they can do. As you can see, i'm not in much of a state to help you in this fight, and we both need a rest." He turned to the wolves "All your's boys. Enjoy."

The wolves ran towards the police, and Nacrosix collapsed...

bloodless_child - December 28, 2004 08:44 PM (GMT)
Liv watched as the wolves attacked the police and looked to Nacroisx shortly before he collapsed. She grasped him so he wouldn't hit the concrete and pulled him into a dark dry little nitch.

Combing his hair from his eyes she looked upon his wounds. He had lost so much blood.

She pulled out her knife and gingerly removed the bullets before ripping off a couple peices of her skirt to bandage them.

The sound of ripping flesh filled the sewers and Liv grew hungry. This caused her to pause a second, Nacroisx would need blood sense he had lost so much. She bit into her wrist without another thought and let it drip into his mouth. Her eyes were a pale blue as she watched him in the dark, hoping he would wake soon.

Nacrosix - December 28, 2004 09:28 PM (GMT)

Quiet
Peacful
alone:

"Nacrosix, oh Nacrosix. Why do you hide from me? Why from me dear uncle? Did my blood not satisfy you? Did my mother and fathers blood not satisfy you?"

The figure of Nacrosix's neice came floating towards him, asking questions, laughing at his attempts to awnser:

"You killed me dear uncle. I'm waiting for you. You wil never escape this curse, this curse that is you."

"You lie. Your dead. Get away! Get away!"

She just laughed. She looked beyond him, Nacrosix turned and looked. His eyes opened in terror. For comming towards him was a massive tidal wave, a wave of blood. He tried to run. He couldn't. The wave hit him. He began to drown, drown in blood.

Just then Nacrosix woke up. Spraying blood from his mouth. Grabbing the wrist and trying to push it away. Looking and seeing it was Liv. He just leant into her and trembled:

"Why? Oh why..."

bloodless_child - December 29, 2004 07:39 PM (GMT)
Liv jumped as he woke up and slowly embraced him. In her mind she wondered what had happened, what had gone on in his mind that made him tremble so. She closed her eyes and combed her fingers through his hair as she pushed the thoughts to the back of her mind and looked to him.

She was afraid to ask, afraid it would make matters worse.

'Nacrosix ...'

She asked softly after a few minutes passed slowly.

'I do not wish to ask ... but pray tell me what has done this to you?'

Nacrosix - December 29, 2004 09:00 PM (GMT)
Nacrosix stared into Liv's eyes. He wanted to tell her everything about his past, he just didn't want her to see him as weak, too late probably:

"Nothing, well something, I don't know what it is. A dream that has been enveloping my mind for years. About my past..."

Just then he stopped, he could hear more car doors shutting above them:

"Not now, we must leave. Just what way to go."

He stood up and called Wraith and Specter:

"Boys I need your nose to find any Vampires down here, now go!"

The wolves started off, Nacrosix helped Liv up and then took a step, downwards, his bad leg hadn't healed. He was caught by Specter and Nacrosix just leaned on him. Worrying how weak Liv must think he is.

((OOC: If this isn't my cue... I don't know what is. Still, if you don't want me to join in, say so, and I'll get rid of my post.))

Why she was wandering down the tunnels this night was completely lost to her. Indeed, the bottoms of her leather pants were getting soaked in the grimy water, as were her shoes. This alone was enough to put her in a bad mood. Okay, so her little pet had wandered away from her, running sobbingly into the sewers below the city, but really, she could just get another one. The little fact that she might inform the police didn’t even bother her. She’d get an alibi. There was always a coven member or two that was willing to cover her, and if they didn’t… well, that was their problem after the fact. She’d been taking pets for damn near three hundred years, and the pesky authorities hadn’t caught her yet.

If she had her way, they weren’t going to.

Her ears caught the sound of pitter-patter somewhere up the tunnel, and for a moment, a smirk crossed her face as the thought that her pet inadvertently wandered back into her arms crossed her mind. It was quickly quelled as a dog, no, wolf came towards her. Her smirk faded substantially, and she raised an eyebrow at them, crossing her arms. They just stared at her. This didn’t surprise her. Nyx had much the same power with cats, big cats; cats that could rip your head off. The wolf gave a soft howl, and she gave them a ‘what the hell?’ look. Rolling her eyes, she tried to walk past it, and succeeded, but it was following her.

“Shoo,” she said half-heartedly, giving it a small wave of her hand and continuing to walk. It did not cease nor desist. Turning around, she put her hands on her knees and bent down. Her tone was nice, and playful. “Why don’t you little rascals move along before I get angry and feed you your own intestines?” It didn’t move. Letting out an angry sigh that caused some of her hair to dance, she turned around and continued to walk down the passage, ignoring her stalker as best as she could.

From somewhere up ahead, she heard sirens. Running a hand through her hair, she said, “Aw, fuck. When I get that girl, she’s going to be mince meat. I might just have to have her swallow that pretty little tongue of hers, now won’t I?”

Nyx toyed with the idea of just going up there and killing them all. It would certainly alleviate the anxiety that was randomly increasing due to the wolf oh so kindly following her, the loss of her pet, and the fact that both her shoes and pants were ruined by the damned shitty water. She gave a shrug, and continued forth, wondering what she could do to a cop if she happened upon one.

bloodless_child - December 30, 2004 03:38 AM (GMT)
Liv heard the distant howling of the wolves shortly after she took Nacrosix to help him steady himself. She watched his eyes paying no attention to it and shook her head.

'You shouldn't be in this much haste with your leg.'

She brushed some stray strands of hair from his face, a worried look on hers. She didn't think him weak, she couldn't.

Carefully she pulled his arm around her neck so he could lean on her for support and helped him slowly out. There came a pause and her eyes searched the place intently. The knot came once more in her stomach, she could feel others, others like her and Nacrosix.

She was scared and yet hopeful all at once.

'Nacrosix ... I think another is here ... someone from your coven ...'

QUOTE
'Nacrosix ... I think another is here ... someone from your coven ...'

"It's female."

This simple sentance brought a chill down his spine. How he knew he wasn't sure. Maybe it was how Wraiths howl poured into his mind. Lifting his head up NAcrosix gave out a low howl to call the wolves back.

A few seconds later the wolves appeared, Nacrosix bent down and listened to the sounds made by the wolves. Now he could't say he understood them perfectly but he had some skill at understanding them:

"Yes female. Young. Vampire." He gave out a soft laugh "...and apparantly pretty. Not as pretty as you though."

Taking his wait of Liv. Nacrosix stood slightly off balanced. He wanted to look strong for when this person came. It didn't last long, his leg just gave way and he went back to using Liv as a support:

"I'm so glad I know you." He kissed her on the cheek, then sent the wolves back off to keep an eye on the approaching stranger.

"Be ready Liv, she's comming"

bloodless_child - December 30, 2004 04:43 PM (GMT)
Liv had to admit, the thought of another was somewhat alarming. She watched the wolves leave and looked to Nacrosix as he kissed her cheek. She smiled giving no hint to her fear and looked back slowly into the abyss. Who knew maybe they could help.

Liv's legs started to tremble slightly from the weight and she looked to him.

'I'm going to set you down,' she said this softly, hoping no protest would be returned. Carefully she sat him against the wall and knelt before him. 'I'm going to find who ever it is out there and bring them to you ... if they can help I don't want them to be lost.' She held his face gently in her hand and kissed him tenderly before rising and following the wolves howls.

Nafretiri - December 30, 2004 09:48 PM (GMT)
Nyx scowled as there was another howl from somewhere up the tunnel. How the hell had wolves gotten into the damned tunnels? She didn't know, but she was thankful when she was wolf-free. She trudged through the water, following the stupid wolves, because, ironically, there was a Tarepha member over there, and fuck, she wanted answers. If they couldn't give them to her, well, it wouldn't be pretty. A mad Nyx was not a friendly Nyx. Quite the opposite in fact.

The sirens were getting closer to where she was now, and she hoped that they didn't come down into the sewers. Not that she was afraid of them, hell no! Just that she couldn't be held responsible for what happened if they were to venture into her territory. That's it. She might have to maim them and show them what fear was. That, and if her little pet was with them, she'd have to teach the girl the meaning of the word 'submissive'. Most likely the word 'pain' too. Neh, the girl deserved it.

Even as she was walking, she came across two wolves this time. She raised a delicate eyebrow at them. It was clear from the way her lips had thinned that she was not amused. Putting her hands on her hips, she said, "Okay you dogs gone wild, what the fuck is so interesting about me? I get that I'm powerful, you don't have to rub it in. I get that I'm attractive, but sorry, I'm not one for beastiality. Go get your perverse kicks somewhere else." They didn't move. Nyx's eyebrow dropped.

There was the sound of footsteps behind them, and Nyx started to walk forward. "Well, what do we have here?"

bloodless_child - December 31, 2004 01:13 AM (GMT)
Liv froze. Pale optic's watching Nyx. Slowly she bowed her head in respect.

'Forgive me for any intrusion ... but one of your members lays badly injured not far from us.'

Slowly she lifted her fair face. She didn't want to talk of how they were the ones bringing about the police, or anything else for that matter. Liv was perfectly evil when she wanted to be, but now intimidation crept too far in for her to concentrate. Nyx might not have known her but she knew Nyx quite well, so many immortals talked and if Liv had not chosen a place as a rogue she would be in this very coven.

'He has sent forth his wolves to be safe ... not anything personal.'

Nacrosix - January 1, 2005 08:34 PM (GMT)
Nacrosix sat alone, In the shadows of his own thoughts. Liv had went down to meet with the woman. he wondered on this then realised he wasn't going to sit around doing nothing.

Getting up he limped down the passageway towards where Liv had went. Spectre sensing him aproach came back and walked beside him:

"Thank you old friend."

Slowly but surely Nacrosix came down to where the two woman were. he put his bad leg down painfully. Walked forward, standing next to Liv, he reached down and took her hand in his. Then he turned to the new comer:

"Ahh Lady Nyx, how may I help you?"

Nafretiri - January 2, 2005 02:45 AM (GMT)
Nyx crossed her arms in front of her and raised her eyebrows. Apparently this vampire knew who she was, though Nyx certainly didn't know her. Still, it caused a slight smirk to cross her face to realize that she was indeed known outside of her own coven. Things were as they should be. She was most certain that she had the most members, and they were definitely the ones that deserved the most respect. No doubt in her mind about that.

That 'Lady Nyx' sounded interesting, but she'd heard it before, and it never failed to inflate her ego. "What can you do for me?" she asked in an overly kind voice. "Well," - Here she tapped her chin - "You can tell me why the police think it's so kind to traipse through my sewers. I want to know if I have to do cleanup. There's what, thirty? Shouldn't be that hard."

Yes, she was cocky. Thank you for noticing.

"Also, would you mind telling me why she is here?" Nyx gestured vaguely to Liv, and it wasn't all contempt. "I mean, kudos. You have a girlfriend. I don't know her, she's not Tarepha, why is she here?"

bloodless_child - January 2, 2005 03:20 AM (GMT)
Liv's exterior gave no hint to what burned within. She wasn't about to explain anything about why she was here to anyone, especially if they would talk about her as though she wasn't around.

'You won't have to clean up anything if we move it fast enough. Those that saw anything were taken care of, those up there just came to pleas on radios.'

Liv said nothing more but chose not to look away, she wasn't weak and she wasn't about to act it infront of someone so willing to insult her.

Nacrosix - January 3, 2005 11:46 AM (GMT)
Nac looked to Liv, felt more than saw she was hurt by Nyx'x comment and attitude towards her. This made him angry. He quickly told Spectre to Sit in front of Liv incase anything happened. Turning to Nyx, anger building:

"Lady Nyx why do you ignore my partner here, and ask her questions tht she finds private."

He took a painful step forward:

"And I bid that you do not dare insult her again or I might live to regret my actions."

Noticing the anger in Nac's voice sparked up the wolves motors. They stood, baring their blooded fangs, growling at Nyx. A quick wave of his hand made them stop the growling, but they still bared their fangs and stood.

"Now Nyx. You asked us why Liv is here, the obvious reason is that I brought her here for safety. If you find that a problem take it up with me and these two."

He knew that in his state he couldn't put up a good fight, but he thought it his duty to take all the blame from Liv and put it on him. He wanted to protect her, hopefull she would see it that way...
