Title: Death Approaches Even The Dead
Description: Leo's encounter with a slayer
Leo Crow - December 28, 2004 12:44 AM (GMT)
Leo stood atop the roof of a high sky scraper, peering down at the few cars that strolled down the street. He was taking in the view, away from the only distraction that ever bothered him, the smell of flesh. The only aroma he could smell was the smog, the polution these individuals create. He hated humans, hated them as much as the scars on his face, but he wasn't about to start a massacre. He only ever used them to feed, or to have sex, amazing how often the two coincide. He crossed his arms at his chest and looked over the edge towards the street below to see if he may get a meal this night. There wasn't a soul on the street, and Leo's hunger wasn't about to drive him to go hunting for a meal, not quite yet in any case.
The street lights were either to dim, or the lightbulb had blown, so the only light was the blueish tint the moon offer. Trash littlered the streets, and cloged both gutters at the end of the corners. How had he been a human once. He hated the very fact that it had only been alittle more then a year since he was bitten. He was hungry now, more bored then hungry. Leo took a few steps back, and uncrossed his arms. He started a slow jog, then a sprint to the edge of the building, leaping off to the building below. The wind on his body felt great, like a cold drink on a hot day, but it was soon interrupted by a harsh landing on the rooftop of another building. Leo landed on his feet, but rolled as soon as he landed to take away some of the pain. He layed face down on the cold concrete of the building below him and waited there for a moment, then pushed himself up on all fours. He looked down at the speckle of blood that had dripped down chin. His fang had pierced through his lower lip, but the wound slowly regenerated back as usual. Leo finally got the energy to push off the ground and sit on his calves. He looked up into the moonlight, then straighted out his legs, pushing himself from the ground.
He walked to the edge of the building and dropped down much like a cat would when falling a bookshelf or such. He stood up and the smell of flesh entered his nostrils. A human had entered this street, and would have surely seen his drop from the build just a few second ago. Leo look, and the figure, which he could make out at first, kept walking down the street towards him. Leo let out an evil laugh that the figure would have surely heard, but instead of turning to flee, which Leo often liked to chase his food, it kept walking towards him. Leo started a slow walk, which developed into a jog over time, then into a sprint, then with all the speed of an immortal. Leo jumped form the ground and to a street pole, grabbing it and holding himself horizontally , then kicked off the poled to pounce on this human. He had the look of a killer on his face, but it soon turned to fear when the human unraveled a stake from under a piece of cloth. Leo threw his body to right, so as the momentum would cause him to turn in mid-air. The stake entered his skin through the outside right arm, then the force of the jump forced it through the bone, then out the inside of his arm. Leo's body collided into the human's, and they both crashed down to the concrete sidewalk. Leo pushed himself up with his left hand slowly, then glanced at the human who lay a few yards to the right of him. Leo got to his knees, and noticed his arm had been pinned to his body by the spike. "This has been a most foolish mistake human." With that, he pulled the stake from his arm and let out a loud scream that could be heard for some city blocks. The blood poured from his arm and took an amount of time, half a minute and some, for the wound to even start to heal itself. Leo got to his feet to notice the human had also risen to it's feet. Now he could see the mortal. He wore a mask that mimiced a clown's face, but where colorful make-up should have been there was it was only white, then the rest was black. There was a large smile on the mask where the mouth would obviously go, and there were two small eye-holes to peer through. Leo pushed off his right foot and was at the human's face in a matter of a second or two and head-butted the human in the center of the mask. The human flew back, obviously unprepared from such a sudden attack, while the mask he had been wearing shattered and splintered into pieces. Leo was in awe as he peered down at his foe. The scarred face of his brother stared back at him.
The words of his brother came slowly, but firm, " You.....threw me down...the...stairs and left...me to die. My face...caught fire....I fleed...through the back door.....I never expected to live.....But I did, I swore to kill you.......But I..have failed....you bastard! " Josh closed his eyes, and before he could open them again, Leo slammed his foot down on his chest.
"You should have died for all that you put me through!" He lifted up his foot, then crushed it down on Josh's chest again. There was a sound of bones being broken, but that wasn't enough. Leo slammed his foot down again, and again, until Josh's sternum had completely collasped into his chest. Leo reached down and grabbed his brother by the shirt collar, lifting him up into the air high. Leo pulled Josh's neck to his lips, and sank his fangs far into his throat. Leo drank his fill in a matter of seconds, and pulled his mouth away, blood dripping from his chin onto the concrete below him."Goodbye brother." Leo took one more bite into his neck, then pulled away, tearing his very throat from his neck. He swallowed the muscle, skin, and blood with much approval for killing him brother. His years of childhood torment were over. The rest of his past had been erased in the matter of a few minutes. He lived only for the future now.
Leo dragged the body into an empty, scummy alleyway with boxes, and dead rodents scattered all around. He kicked a box out of the way while wiping blood from his chin, and stopped at a garbage dumpster. He used his elbow to through the lid open, and his left hand to move old garbage bags out of the way, then hoisted the body up into the air, and dumped it in. He moved the bags back on top of the body and closed the lid. Leo kicked off the dumpster, and then caught himself on the fire escape behind him. He pushed off the fire escape, and caught the edge of a roof, then threw himself over it. He took one last look at the garbage dumpster and when he was about to run towards another rooftop when he caught scent of another vampire. Was he being stalked ? or perhaps the smell of his brother's blood caught someone's attention?

There came a sudden scream of terror, closely followed by one of pain at the needle sharp fangs were plunged deep into the young female's soft, warm and willing flesh. But that scream slowly died down as her crimson life blood poured past the soft lips of the ancient vampiress. The presious liquid felt good as it ran down her throat and as soon as she had enough she slid her fangs from the fresh puncture marks, let go of the womans neck and let her fall to the ground with a bone-craking thud. She licked the last traces of blood from her fangs, stepped over the corpse and entered into the street. Sparkling eyes of ultramarine shot quickly about the street as she stretched her slender arms over her head. Her rich, dark red lips curved into a malice smile and nicely curved hips swayed gentle like a pendulum. Her hair was wine red and in silky waves that cascaded toward her small waist some of which rested on her small, bare sholders. The moonlight illuminated her skin making her seem even paler than she truely was.
The heels of her knee high, black leather boots softly clicked on contact with the cold stone pavement. Her lace over coat fluttered behind her in her lithe, graceful movements. Her torso was adorned by a leather, tie-up corset. She wore black, shiney leather hotpants and anyone who knew no better would have though she was freezing, but the cool night air didn't bother her at all.
She stopped and place one place, crimson nailed hand on a brick wall and rested her head against it. Then the scent of blood reached her nostrils and made her head shoot up. "Hmmm....", she searched for the source of the smell until she found the body of the mortal. She folded her arms then looked up at the building she was stood beside. "He's here...", she muttered and smiled to herself. Although she could not see Leo, she sensed that he was near her.

Leo sat in the darkness that engulfed him, pondering the idea of who his pursuer might be. He would not lead them on a chase, for the inevitable, which would be him being caught, would eventually occur. He walked to the edge of the building and stood there, looking down at this other immortal. " Why do you stalk me so ? What reason could you possibly have ? " His figure looked intimadating in the darkness, for his face could not be seen in the dim light, only the outline of his body, and the swaying of his trench coat. He turned and walked to the center of the building, and turned, as if waiting for he to join him on the roof top. He dropped his arms to his sides, and let his trench coat fall from his arms to the ground behind him, then turned his head to look behind him, awaiting this other immortal's replies. In truth, he did not recognize her scent, he was clueless to as who she was.
<<OOC: Sorry this was so short, I couldn't think of to much.>>

After taking a few steps back she ran at the wall of the building and lept like a black panther. Next thing she knew she was standing near the edge. She looked back over her sholder at the street then up infront of her at the young vampire.
"Well well well what do we have here?", she have a fanged smile as she slowly made her way toward him. "You must be Leo? Am I corrected", she stopped not far away from where he stood and rested one hand on her hip and trasnfered her weight to her right leg.

" I was once called that. Now that you have had a question, it's my turn again." He turned slowly, facing her, he was fully visible now. His blue hair was not spiked, as it had usually been, now it was down to his eyes, but did not hinder his vision. He was wearing a tight black tank top, and baggy black pants, which covered up most of his black converse sneakers. His trench coat was on the ground, and now in front of him. " Who are you ?" His pale blue eyes now pierced through the darkness to this woman in front of him who seemed so intent on finding him, or so it seemed.
Lucia Eros - January 1, 2005 07:33 PM (GMT)
"I am Kali." She replied with a slight smirk on her face then rose her head slightly as she stood and stared. "I suppose your curious as to why I have been following you? Hmmm?", she moved the hand on her hip to her waist and slowly walked in a circle around him then stopped directly infront of him. Silently she oberved his form, taking in every detail within her veiw as she did with everyone she met.

Leo smirked and croched down, rubbing his hand along the cement of the roof, then smelled the end of his finger tips. No, he didn't go this way. His stupid brother had wasted his time, and in doing so, lost the trail of the one he was hunting. " Do you plan to waste anymore of my time, or will you just come out with it all already." He reached behind him and grabbed his trench coat, then threw it over his shoulder as he stood up. He held his coat there with his right hand, then put his left hand in his pocket, searching her up and down, which was completely noticable, but he didn't care, not at the moment. Leo shifted his weight to his right leg and let out a long sigh, looking up towards the sky. " They are all beautiful aren't they ?" He looked at her, then retrieved his hand from his pocket, and pointed towards the stars. " The stars that is." He put his hand back in his pocket, then his smirk faded. " Now come out with it will you."
Lucia Eros - January 2, 2005 07:32 PM (GMT)
"Yes, they are beautiful." Kali arched a brow. He thought she was wasting his time yet he starts talking about the beauty of the stars. She rolled her eyes. "Patience boy!" She narrowed her eyes slightly and tapped her foot. "Well, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I've been following you for the last few days hoping maybe that you'd bump into your brother. I had some unfinished business with him, but it seems that you've completed my aim for me", she looked of the roof and down at the alley where she had found his body. She slight smile came upon her face but vanished as quickly as it came. She turned her head to face him again. "Hmmm....it seems he's hunting someone...", she smirked and placed both hands back on her hips and turned around slightly. "Well, I suppose I should Thank You for the energy you've saved me using this fine evening and I suppose I shall leave you to your hunt...", she turn slightly ready to leave as she wind caught her hair and tossed it back over her shoulders.
Leo Crow - January 3, 2005 02:13 AM (GMT)
The same wind blew his hair out from in front of his eyes as they widened, his pale blue eyes beocming completely noticable in the dark night. " Say, what business do, or well...Did you have with my brother, if you don't mind ? Don't worry, my prey doesn't run to fast, its when I get there that I have the problem." He felt uncomfortable holding his trench coat over his shoulder so he threw the jacket up in the air, and as it was coming down, it wided, enabling him to slip both arms through the sleeves. " And another thing, how did you find me, Josh was the last bit of information of my past." He crossed his arms and looked past her, to the city sky scrapers that seemed to stab into the night sky, the scenery from atop this building was most beautiful, made even better by this 'Kali' as he focused on her, waiting for his answer.
Lucia Eros - January 3, 2005 08:33 PM (GMT)
Kali looked back over her shoulder at him then slowly turned around. "He asked be to kill you." She said coldly and shut her eyes. A slight frown came upon her face as she tilted her head downward. She was silent for a moment as if struggling to recall what happen or unable to say it then inhaling deeply she straightened up and put on a stern face. "He gave me an option. I take care of you or I get the sharp end of the stake. I refused him, he got angry and pushed me in a river. Unfortunately for him I got out alive and followed his scent. While I was distracted he found you and you gave him what he disevered." She smiled slight and nodded. "Does that answer your questions?"
Leo Crow - January 3, 2005 10:24 PM (GMT)
" Oh...I see. Well, If you wish to take your leave, then do so, but if you had time, perhaps we could talk ?" His voice seemed broken, as though he was about to cry, but couldn't bring himself to do it. His shoulders dropped along with his eyes as he began to look at the ground before him. He took his hands out of his pockets holding a zippo that had an ace of spades on it. It was silver, well silver looking, but it was a cheap replica. He pulled a pack of worn Malboro cigaretts and tapped on end of it, sending a cigarett to the open end of the box then places it balancing on his lips. Written acrossed the wrinkled cigarett is the word 'Repent' written poorly. He lit the cigarett and took a deep breath, then blew the smoke out of the other side of his mouth, the smoke coming out with a blueish tint in the night air. " What did my brother act like ? I hate him so, but he is my family, I cannot but feel for him. Anthing you could tell would be great." He paused, just realizing that it was he who had killed his brother. Human emottions came rushing back to him in an instant. He felt weak, vulnerable.
Lucia Eros - January 4, 2005 05:59 PM (GMT)
"Well, I have no place in mind to go really so I suppose we could talk." She said with a small shrug of her shoulder just as she noticed the broken sound of his voice. She sighed as she looked at him. "Human emotions....they torture us all." She thought to herself as she stared at the smoke floating in the air. "He always wanted it his way. He seemed so cold and heartless for a human...it was strange." She bowed her head and closed her eyes. "There isn't really much to tell as he seemed very withdrawn most of the time. When you try to get him to open up he'd get angry and threatening", she rubbed her arm. "I understand where your coming from. There was one man the I hated him so much I killed him. But I couldn't help but feel guilty, even after all the things he did to me and the pain he put me through." Her words came out quietly and slowly like a shy child.
Leo Crow - January 4, 2005 10:02 PM (GMT)
"It's almost as if the human emotions are the only flaw to living forever. And I know what you mean by the pain of childhood." His left hand held the cigarette so with his right hand he moved his thumb down his left eye, signaling the scar that ran down it, then tilted his head as he blew smoke out of his mouth inot the night air to show her the burnt flesh on his cheek. He put the cigarette to his lips and inhaled as he turned his head back around, " We all carry scars from our past lives, only some of them aren't visible. You know what I mean. Who was this guy anyway, what did her do to you ?" He knew it wasn't any of his business, but he couldn't help it, he had always been curious.
Lucia Eros - January 5, 2005 05:09 PM (GMT)
"His name was Edward....he was a wealthy man. Well, as wealthy as you could get back in those days. He...um." She paused for a moment, let her gaze fall to the ground then wrapped her arms around herself. "He raped me. "The first time was when I was thirteen. If I didn't do what he wanted I was beaten and yelled at. I had rebelled many times but got no where." She sighed then gave a slight frown. "If I hadn't been turned then I would have died there. " She looked up again looking emotionless yet her eyes seemed to look angry. Not at Leo for asking, but at Edward. "How did you get them?" She asked looking from the scar running along his left eye then the burn in the shape of a cross upon his right cheek.
