Broken ...
The heart of a forgotten lover, laying shattered upon the dust crusted floor, each peice reflecting a peircing memory. This is all a relationship of such magnitude could have resulted in. Rin had known it would be too good to be true. Such goodness could have never happened to her.
He had left, taking what seemed like her life, her heart ... everything. It seemed so rediculous to think this way ... but that was how it felt.
She stood in the moonlight that leaked from a few cracks in a dusty window. Waiting. Life had lost it's luster, she had lost her friends, her sister had gone like her lover, without trace and left her hollow. Sun would rise soon, come like gold to her and lead her to paradise ... it wouldn't be ugly, for she was willing ... and she would fade into the golden rays ... like an angel.
Her cold fingers pulled at the rough fabric of her coat as she looked to the concrete floor. Breathing in the cool night air for the last time she closed her eyes and waited.
Leo Crow - December 27, 2004 07:45 AM (GMT)
Leo sat perched atop a roof taking in the gorgeous view of the stars. He notice The moon would fall soon, and the red sun would rise to give birth the those pesky citizens of this forsaken town. "They", well more of "they" in any case, would soon rise from their beds to greet this horrible thing, this morning, something Leo took for granted as a human. He would surely like to see it one more time. But not this day, possibly when he is sick of this existence, if existence be what you call it. He waited for the first rays to cascade into the town until he rolled left, off the roof, and landed in an alleyway with a hollow thud he pulled himself from the ground. He trudged past a warehouse, one that should have been condemned ages ago, and looked in to see a woman through a large gaping hole where planks had been removed, a most attractive woman, one he would like to wrap his fangs around. He would make it fast, not turtore her. Beauty should be appreciated, so as she would not suffer.
It was a few second of staring until his senses came to him. She was a vampire. He could not let this beauty go to waste. He would save her from this red dawn. He must save her. As he made up his mind, the first rays hit upon the building. He pushed off his left foot, and more of a jump then a run, he took off in her direction. Just as his body hit hers, the rays filled through the cracks of the wood. The sensation of pain filled his entire left side at once, She was out of the way, thats all that mattered. He could die now and be happy. She hit the ground on her left side, with as little force as Leo could administer when charging at full speed. He fell unconscious as his body landed to the ground with a loud hollow thud, then he rolled a few more feet. His body lay there, smoking, steaming, but the cells began to regenerate, slowly, nerve by nerve, cell by cell, he began to heal. He was still alive, if alive be what you call it.

Rin could see the golden rays of the sun, and almost feel the warmth she had once embraced as a mortal. Suddenly thought she was pushed aside, in a heroic attempt to prolong her life a little more. She hit the floor before she knew it, her side numbing alittle with pain as she drew back slowly to look at her rescuer.
The sun had hit him hard, and she could see his swiftly healing flesh as he lay beside her. She could feel a pang of anger, she had wanted the sun to take her, it could have been all over within a few precious seconds. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she watched him and slowly she looked away. He had the best intentions, and had it been anyother occaision she probably would have been utterly grateful. Her blue optics returned to him and she gave into a soft smile.
She extended a hand to gingerly caress his tender flesh and leaned towards him a little to see if he was awake not knowing what to say.

The darkness soon faded, and the cold dark world that he live in came back. At first he felt nothing, then a slight numbing feeling throughout his left side. He wished the numbing would go away, and just as he thought it, the numbing disapated replaced by pain that he could never forget. His screams filled the empty warehouse, his voice, now loud a shrill, settled down to heavy breathing. He pushed himself up against the wall behind him, then he looked to his right to see this girl looking at him. He flinched in pain, but would not move his arm, for if he would touch his healing wounds the ash like skin would fall off, making it take even longer for the wound to heal. Leo looked about her, "You alright ?" , He held back the urge to scream again. His wound had finally healed closed up, but the muscle and bone on the inside was still healing. When it had finally finished healing he bent his elbow then felt around his bisep with his right hand.
He looked at her out of his left eye to see she was looking at. "It's a scar. One from my childhood, before I was what I am now. It happened the day my father and brother were taken away from me. It makes it so I will never forget the sound of my brother's dieing voice. I am haunted by it. I'm sorry, you really wouldn't care to much about my past. Ahh...I'm rambling, forgive me."With that he stood up. He dusted off his pants and shirt, shook out his spiked hair, and blinked a few times to get everything in perspective. He took a few steps, then ran up the wall, kicked off the wall, and caught himself on one of the rafters, and using the momentum from the jump, swung himself around to land safely on the rafter beams. "Do you know a way out of here ? We have til' the suns above us, then it will shine light through all the cracks and broken windows in the ceiling. Look, I know you don't know who I am, and I don't know who you are, but given the situation were in were stuck with each other, wether you might like it or not, but I must say, I don't mind the least bit." He turned with a smirk on his face, then dropped down to the ground with a loud thud. All the dust around him threw itself off the ground as he landed, looking as if he held a golden arua for a second. He had saved her once, maybe he might be an angel in disguise.
"It's been awhile since I last met a vampire, I am graced by your presence." He made a small bow, putting his right hand on his stomach, and his left behind him, then looked up to see her expression. He leaned back up and looked to her. "If you'll excuse the way I acted earlier, I was merely paniced, but we have time. My name is Leo Crow."

As he screamed Rin winced, wanting to do something and yet totally powerless in doing so. She felt awful bringing this about and waited silently in hopes he would be alright. She nodded her head and smiled. 'I'm fine ... thank you ... I guess I didn't really think about what I was doing until just now.'
She listened to him and watched with a quirked brow as he literally bounced off the walls. She pointed to a door under the second story platform. 'That door leads to a corridor. We can get into the shade since it is still morning and go into the sewers.'
She stood slowly as he landed and pulled her hair back in a pony tail. A few strands fell back in her face but she merely tucked them behind her ears. 'I'm afraid it as also been awhile since I have seen another immortal as well ... That was why I was out here ... immortality and loneliness do not combine.' She gave a slight nod of her head as he came up from his bow. 'You may call me Rin ... Rin Hart.'
There came a pause, and she realized it had seemed like eternity since she had introduced herself to someone. Mortal or otherwise. She blinked and looked away slowly, her gaze resting on the door that would lead out of here.
'We better leave quickly, the corridor is a long one and shade is like wind ... gone as soon as it arrives.'
Leo Crow - December 28, 2004 09:04 PM (GMT)
Leo looked into her eyes, as if trying to reach down and grab the very soul that inhabits her. For some reason, she would choose to kill herself, this was beyond his comprehension, but it came to him suddenly, like a jolt of electricity running through him, why would he care so much for someone he had just met. Could it be that he would be so capitivated by her beauty that it blinded that him from the current situation, which was obvious, if she was paying attention, by his many smiles and smirks in just a matter of minutes. Had he have been attracted to her, he would seem to have an odd way of showing it. He would ponder this no more, for the sun's rays had begun to pierce into the back of the warehouse. How fast the sun rises when you are preoccupied with senseless thoughts of attraction and beauty.
He stepped forward, grabbing Rin by the forearm, " Hold on to me." He jumped, and in mid air clenched ahold of a bent railing with his left hand and swung himself around, then let go of Rin, so she would catapult upward, onto the second story catwalk. He threw himself off the railing toward a wall after she had landed safely, or so he had hoped, and kicked off it with his left hand. Just after he had kicked off, the turned his body and caught the catwalk with his left hand and pulled himself up. " Are you alright ? I find myself saying that alot lately, and for that I am sorry, but we must move quickly." He pushed himself up from the catwalk and extended a hand to her, " Please, I exspect that you would be much slowly then I." He helped her up, and grabbing her much like you would hold a baby, the threw himself in the direct of the door, moving as fast as he could carrying someone.
His footsteps echoed throughout the empty warehouse in a most disturbing manor, while kicking up dirt and dust which had been collected over the years. The door lay in front of him, but instead of opening the door like any civilized person would do, he turned and threw his shoulder into the old wooden door. Pain sored through his shoulder, but he'd rather the pain, then the risk of the sun catching him. He only slowed down for a few seconds, until the pain disapated, then was at full speed again charging down the down the corridor. " This is a most akward first meeting. Perhaps after this is all over, we could see each other again, and perhaps we could be...friends...?"
bloodless_child - December 29, 2004 07:56 PM (GMT)
Dazed was the only word that could have described Rin at that peticular moment. Through the movement and much haste, and recieving interest from a certain someone. She had found she noticed this long before, but being timid, had shown not her acknowledgement of it.
Somewhat shameful of her actions she looked to him quietly as they moved though the building and gave a slight smile. For someone who had just met her, he cared an awful lot for her well-being. She wanted to tell him how she felt and just how grateful she was, but she couldn't find the words right then.
'It may be an awkward meeting ... but it could be worse.'
She smiled alittle and looked to the walls that passed with much speed.
'And as for friendship. I would like that very much.'
Slowly she leaned forth as he carried her in his arms and pressed her cool lips against his cheek.
Leo Crow - December 30, 2004 03:57 AM (GMT)
Leo carryed her in her arms, and for a split second, while listening to her words, he felt as a human would, and the soft cold kiss furthered this emotion he thought he had. But only for a split second. The sun was close to rising full, which would mean their deaths would near, if his pace were to drop. He had no intention of slowing down, nor did he intend to die in this corridor, which seemed to go on for a lifetime, but in truth, was only about 15 minutes. The corridor had connected two warehouses together, and at the end of the corridor, it had been sealed off. There was little he could do, besides to break through the barrier that had been set up, so for a second or so, he contemplated how he would go about doing it. He lowered his shoulder, and jumped spinning, turning his back to the door, so as not to injure the one he held in his hands. He felt the barrier put up a bit of resistance, but it burst open shortly after, spraying chips of wood, and a few planks all in all directions. The warehouse that they were in now was being used, and had a drain in the center of the it, so if any spills occured, they would it would be able to be drained. Leo turned, and when eyes had been fixed on him he he leapt off the second story platform, and landed on the floor, sending shocking pains throughout his body. The sun had shown through a set of windows onto his neck and shoulder, burning them instantly, and without a second's hesitance, he stomped his right foot down, and the drainage lid came burst open and they both fell through, into the disgusting, wet sewer below. It would be ashame that he would pass out twice in one day, for the burns had been to much for him yet again. He sat crouched for a second, and let the girl go. He looked up at her for a second, then he fell to his left, unconcious once more.
<< OOC: I am sorry the post is so short. U.U >>

There was a streak of burnt flesh across the lower half of her body, and she stumbled lightly when he let her down. The pain was hot and stung every bit of her as she moved but she took him gently and pulled him out from under the drain. She moved him to a tiny nitch between the slimy concrete walls and closed her eyes laying beside him, permiting her wounds to heal. She didn't sleep, afraid and yet hoping. Hoping he would be alright.
She wanted to embrace him, but she feared more pain would be delivered.
Leo Crow - December 31, 2004 08:45 PM (GMT)
The idea of death soon crossed his mind again, but he did not fear this death, in truth, he was dead. Leo clenched his fist as he came to his senses again. He felt so weak, for the sun had left him unconcious twice. He paniced, and in seeing Rin beside him, pulled himself pulled himself up against the wall, and rested his head against the slimy cement wall. [B]" I am...Alright, though I feel weak to have fainted before you...twice. Are you alright, I do know that there is no why that you could have gotten away from the sunlight unharmed, however we must move quickly, there will be mortals who will come down searching for us. They will wonder what had happened, and I am afraid the only answers I will have will come from my fangs. " He smiled softly at his joke, but he knew his humor wouldn't go so far. He stood up reaching for her hand. " I would hope that you know your way around here better then me, so I would ask that you lead. "

'Do not feel weak ... besides ... you saw what I was trying to do ... do not call yourself weak before me ... Please.' She sat up slowly wincing at the pain that shot up from her torso. The streak of burnt flesh was starting to heal, but the sun had peirced her clothing, burning right through. 'I'll be fine eventually ... I think we both need to rest however.' She took his hand and stood looking up into his eyes.
There was a pause, as though she wanted to say so much but couldn't. Slowly she lifted a hand to his cheek, meanwhile pressing his hand warmed from the sun's rays against her cool skin. Her hand caressed his face tenderly, her eyes watching his still, searching his soul almost.
A yell coming from above peirced the haze she had found herself in and she looked away as she smiled.
'Best go ... Theres a passage that leads to a drain in a indoor garage. We can get to my home from there and rest til sundown.'
She parted slowly from him, hesitant, desiring not to. And began to walk along the tunnel.
Leo Crow - January 4, 2005 10:23 PM (GMT)
As her hand caressed his face he put his hand on her side and stood there almost pertified, his eyes locking with hers. He felt as though he should lean forward, and present her with a gentle kiss, but as he began to lean forward, the yell startled him. She began to walk away, his hand slipping off her side and falling lifeless to his side. He walked behind her, then reached back and touched the back of his neck, his skin was still warm. "Yes...Rest. " His words were very late, but it was all he could think of.
bloodless_child - January 4, 2005 11:43 PM (GMT)
She slowed her pace so that they were side by side and tenderly clasped his hand in hers. She hadn't wanted that moment to end, but she thought, better more to come than to end there with a bloody scene. The drain into the garage wasn't that far away, but she so desprately yearned for his touch. When they finally came to it, she pushed it open sure that no cars would come in this late due to the gates being locked. She turned her head slightly to him as they climbed out, laying her tender lips against his cheek then pulled away alittle hoping he would return her advances.
Leo Crow - January 6, 2005 03:08 AM (GMT)
As they emerdged, he felt her cool lips on his cheek, and still holding her hand, pulled her back to him and pressed his lips against hers. His free handpushed against her side, then moved around to her back slowly, his tounge parting her lips and rubbing against the tip of her tounge. He pulled himself away, his hand letting go of hers, his other hand coming back around her side, then pulling away, his body now a foot or more away from hers. " No. I can't. I'm sorry." He crossed his arms at his chest as his eyes stay locked on hers. " I should get you home. It should be past your bed time soon."
bloodless_child - January 6, 2005 03:38 AM (GMT)
Rin felt herself tremble slightly as he pulled her in to a kiss. She dared to think that her knees weakened as his lips pressed against hers and the sound of the outer world drowned out for a second in the happiness she felt. Suddenly he pulled away and her eyes opened to look into his. Her lips parted so that she object but she stopped and nodded, her eyes looking to the floor. 'I understand.' She said softly.
Pulling her coat around her she started to walk towards the elevator, pondering on what he meant by getting her home by bed time. She quirked a brow and looked over to him wanting to ask but she kept silent as the doors slid open and she stepped in pushing the button for her floor.
