Jaylee stood atop a rooftop looking out over the city. The demonic moon hung full and crisp in the velvet night sky although the smog from the city shrouded much of its light, it was still beautiful, 'a perfect night for the werewolf' she thought out of nowhere in particular. Her long black hair swirled around her body in the breeze as her eyes twinkled wildly with excitement and passion. Nowhere had she seen so much art and culture all in one place, so many races, colours of skin. The rich and the poor intermingled in the rush hour traffic, everyone heading for home whether it be a victorian mansion elaborately decorated with gilded statues and fountains or the dark, dank alleyways lined with dumpsters, teeming with vermin. Both would be potential prey for her in some point in her journey although the aristocrat did taste rather sweeter. I say journey, she had been to many cities since being turned into a vampire and never stayed longer than a few months. "No point in staying in one place for too long, there is so much more still to be descovered!" She had once pointed out to another like her. She watched as cars' left a trail of tail lights in the direction in which they were going and mentally compared their likeness to fire ants. "So beautiful." She sighed, turning one of her silver rings with her thumb. "Now to find me some place to stay..."
