It is more than one heading this way - there'a whole bunch. The biggest one at 500metres long, which is the first picture above, has supossedly gone awol. How do u lose something that big?

Why hasnt the most famous iceberg of all got a name? Surely it deserves one?

On a auto ferry trip across the Strait of Belle Isle to Labrador, in July a few years ago, the boat had to push its way through a group of ice floes. They were small and posed no danger but in June, 6 years previous, the auto ferry hit an iceberg in the same location and sank.

awesome-never mind that bergs cruising into sydney harbour is a sign of the end-THE END.
Mind you some of our conservatives are heralding global warming for a chance to grow mango in Tasmania

I love icebergs. Never seen one for real, up close.
fantasised about living aboard one as a kid. Would have needed all mod cons though, but not obviously warm. :)
Saw the pics recently about how close certain ones are to NZ.

I think it has a designation of some sort, -like KA189778. But ur right Fred, it should have a moniker all its own.
