Absolutely awesome gig. More amp fiddling and equipment wrecking that I have seen before. Packed crowd went bonkers and MES smiled! Ears are ringing!

Setlist?

I can't fuckin' wait till Leamington Spa, and that's not something you can say every day.

bournemouthrunner - November 20, 2009 12:18 AM (GMT)
Set list was nothing like what was written down!
Wings, Physick Dancefloor, Bury, I've been Duped, Blindness (MES mix!!), Mr Pharmacist, Cowboy George, a spoken word piece. Can't remember the rest, still buzzing from it! Biggest mosh pit I've seen at a Fall gig in years!

Going on memory....

Strange Town
Wolf Kidult Man
Cowboy George
Bury
Scenario
Duped
Wings
Sloppy Floor
Psykick Dancehall
Mr Pharmacist
Blindness
White lightning
Reformation

Classic gig, MES once again delivering the goods in the provinces. If you see a better show than this you'll be a lucky person.

You can ignore the paper set list, although it's near as damm it until the end. Blindness was simply a treat.

I really like Elana's Dr Who style keyboards. Fallsound.

Yet again MES turns it on in the provinces. This is up there with the very best. Possibly my best gig of the year. Fantastic stuff.

Everyone looked like they'd had right a skin full of Ringwood beer. Top night.

Bury, Reformation and Blindness on the same set. People die and go to heaven and get Bury, Reformation and Blindness on the same set.

I'm going to bed now.

Costas2by4 - November 20, 2009 05:32 AM (GMT)
Scenario, Wings, Psykick, Blindness, Refomation in the same set ?
I'm dying here in Greece ... :(

It's no better in the States, and our poor Canadian brethren get no respect, either... :( I'll be lucky if I ever see another Fall show...

At least two (2) people had come over from L.A. to see the Hamburg show!

:applaud: :applaud:

Went on an early flight to NYC the next morning... :o

Make no mistake this was one of the great gigs, awesome in the truest sense, not the way the word is bandied around like confetti by ver kids today. Wings was magnificent for me, but the whole damned show built to a marvellous crescendo.

And I could walk home!

MCR - November 20, 2009 10:48 AM (GMT)
Bloodyfuckingbrilliantfantastic

Not previously heard any of the new-ish stuff but Bury in particular is really really great.

Pleased to see lots more interesting guitar and keyboard bits back in after too long of the BASHABASHA style.

3!!! Encores.

Chris, sorry didn’t fit pifco in we thought there would be the usual long wait between the (wretched) support band and The Fall starting; had it planned for then the get maximum listeners.

Dime have taken my account away, keep try to get a new one but if I miss out is there any chance of getting recordings please?

I got to walk the 10 minutes home too

bournemouthrunner - November 20, 2009 10:51 AM (GMT)
I made some recordings, but don't know how to post them!

Also took a lot of pictures (was working for the Bournemouth Echo), but still don't know how to add them - please someone help.

Though Audioporn were one of the more interesting support bands. They went on too long though.

Download 'Photobucket' photo web hosting.

Load the photos onto this site and convert them into the 'messageboard' format.

Were you the bloke with the notebook?

bournemouthrunner - November 20, 2009 11:04 AM (GMT)
No, I was at the front taking pictures! I have nine recordings from the gig, if anyone wants them, send me a message.

Okay it's not often you get a tiptop recording of a unanimously heralded gig...for those of us not on Dime is there anyway you could load that puppy up to mediafire or rapidshare or any such thing?? You'd be forever in my good graces...

Best gig I've ever seen by anyone. Vital, in both senses of the word. Awe inspiring. Not least Keiron, who played on half a kit for most of the evening!

If you think Mark just mumbles nowadays, check out the Pharmacist clip above.

Can't wait for the new record.

PS. Does anyone know why Eleni didn't join the rest of the troops for Reformation? I have to say Pete filled in the blanks well, though.

Bunch Of Cloaca's. - November 23, 2009 06:25 PM (GMT)
I was there and i was told it was one of the good ones.
To be honest, i have no idea these days what with all the control x factor stuff.
My passion is angling so if the fall play when the outside temp rises above 14 degrees i may have to give it a miss.
Met some nice people, one of whome said i was a misrable git.

Anyone know what happened to the " tits" thread ??

I'm sure we can find my famous 'tits' thread Kev, unless it was lost in the big server crash, caused by those Frenz techno wizard types.

Many thanks,

Hooters, puppies in a bag, bazookas.

Dirty pillows.

Thank you greatly for uploading this been looking forward to this version but
I can't get this to work; Bit Tornado keeps saying "couldn't listen unable to port via UPnP"
Never seen that before on any of my downloads and don't know what the fuck it means, so can anyone help your DJ that evening get the recording he has been waiting for, since that night please?

edited to take out drunken mistakes and add thanks to Hanley and Big Crashing Beat for their excellent work.
