doesn't seem to have been mentioned elsewhere:

book to be published from the papers presented at the messing with the paintwork conference. not exactly priced for the casual reader but these type of books never are.

I believe it has been mentioned before, but with a February release date. Too bad it´s not coming out til May now. It seems interesting enough though 50 fucking pounds is fucking ridiculous. I´m probably gonna buy it anyway, but still...

FIFTY QUID?!

I hope I can get the local library to order it, then.

That's absolutely ridiculous.
I might consider buying it for a tenner, but 50!? No chance.

I refuse! JE RÉFUSE!!!

If it makes it to paperback-Ill grab it

if it doesn't, that means it may get the clearance sale treatment ...

this should have been subttitled "from a jet plane to a loaf" or summat

That's "academic" books for you.
They print about 80 copies, at £50 a pop, and sell them to libraries.
It's a scam and a half.

Anyway, this thread should be merged.

Thank you.

As it's also going to be made available as an ebook, it shouldn't be too long til it's "out there" cough cough. All hail rapidshare.

I'm afraid I'll probably buy it in cardboard and paper. Not to sound pompous but it's OK to charge £10 for a book that sells thousands but these ones really don't and I guess they're just expensive to make.
