I was young and impressionable: there was this bloke at university who was mad about them, being from Macclesfield it seemed like it was his duty to spread the word.

There was a faction at school who would stick them on the 6th form stereo. The music battles there were hilarious. It was either the Macc Lads, Public Enemy or the Smiths. I was rare in liking 2 of the 3.

Could you, as a Macc Lads completist, tell me whether their 1993 album An Orifice and a Genital is worth getting?

Well, it's not as subtle as From Beer To Eternity but as collections of ML outtakes go, the sound quality beats The Red Vag Of Courage hands down.
