Thank you.

Well, I for one thought a lot more highly of them after they walked out on Clive Anderson.

Really? I hope whenever she goes on chatshows she brings that little known-fact up, and then goes "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllll" just for good measure.

The other twin, Robin, sounds like a good guy. He's a spokesman for the Battle of Britain pilots, and has been campaigning for many years for a statue to be built in England that will honour the memory of those brave airmen who gave their lives in the fight against the Luftwaffe so that future generations might...

You're about to write "How very interesting" again, aren't you.

They're religious nutters to and attend an in-no-way loopy "Spiritualist" Church.

The Bee Gees were ruined for me by that Big Train sketch where they had a shootout with Chaka Khan.

Whenever I see them now, that's all I can think about.

No I've Started A Joke?

Best meaningless/ful lyrics ever...

flickeringlexicon - November 13, 2009 12:33 AM (GMT)
There are only 2 Bee Gees songs worth mentioning, neither of which are on this list (strangely):

"I Close My Eyes"

"In My Own Time"

Thank you.

ryaneno - November 13, 2009 12:44 AM (GMT)
Classic tasteless moment:when Maurice Gibb was dying in the hospital, the news bulletin was using Staying Alive in the background.

Nice one. I always liked how Barry Gibb claimed that 'Bee Gee' stood for 'Barry Gibb,' but the rest always claimed it stood for 'Brothers Gibb.' <_<

To Love Somebody
How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?
How Deep Is Your Love?

They made some wonderful records but I think more importantly they were great songwriters, they stand comparison with anyone of the time.

If you don't believe me listen to James Carr do To Love Somebody, one of the great southern soul classics of the 60's. Sublime.

Or Al Green's 'How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?', which is imo Green's greatest record.

chris.southon - November 13, 2009 12:53 PM (GMT)
They're all great, lets face facts
