Title: Free To A Good Home
Description: Unwanted, unloved
Fritter - October 30, 2009 11:13 AM (GMT)
I have some CDs that I don't want, so before I take them to the charity shop, I thought I'd see if anyone here wants any of them...
Tarot Sport - Fuck Buttons
Live In Leuven - Jah Wobble, Jaki Leibezeit & Philip Jeck
Come On Feel The Illinoise - Sufjian Stevens
Dr. Ragtime & Pals - Jack Rose
cryptomoralist - October 30, 2009 11:47 AM (GMT)
Fritter, I'd gladly take the Sufjian Stevens off your hands and would be happy to organise some recompense re the postage?
Drop us a PM.....
:)

If the Jack Rose & Wobble CDs are still on offer I'd be interested to give them a listen. Many thanks

Yeah, don't worry you got first dibs. Anyway, I'm sure it's just a passing phase - I expect I'll be using the space where I used to keep my Faust CDs for more Happy Hardcore compilations soon. "Hear the lion roar!!" :applaud:
Audrey Wetherspoon - November 3, 2009 04:58 PM (GMT)
Curses. Only just seen this. Would have loved that Fuck Buttons album.

Sorry, I'll buy another copy soon probably. It'll be after a late Friday night when I find myself thinking "Oh I wonder if that Fuck Buttons album sounds better now?" :)
(or if Sven doesn't like it he can pass it on maybe)

Faust, like The Fall and a very few others, are not a passing phase. They will bring you pleasure over many years to come. DO NOT PART WITH THOSE CD'S!!!
gappy tooth - November 10, 2009 07:23 PM (GMT)
I've listened to my CDs now, & whilst I'd be lying if I claimed they'd set my world aflame, they're both most pleasant listens & I shall be keeping them for future listening, so a million thanks to Fritter :applaud:

Glad they got there safely.

The Fuck Buttons is great driving music, especially while working :D
Sort of like Spacemen 3 if Steve Reich was in them.
Thanks again Fritter

The 1st LP's much better, I'd say, so seek it out if you like that one. Great live act.

A pleasure, and I hope Oscar and Florence dig it too!
So far the only music that has ever sent my dog out of the room is Suspended Animation by Fantomas, so I have to sit out in the car at the front of the house and play there when needed.

It's a long shot I know, but does anyone have a copy of the recent issue of The Wire magazine that had Moritz Von Oswald on it, that maybe they could photocopy in exchange for something? I seem to have chucked it away and am now finding myself wanting to read the interview with him a bit more closely.

I might do - was Moritz Von Oswald on the cover? That name certainly doesn't ring a bell but admittedly I don't bother reading most of it.

Yes, he was on the cover - he looks very much the gentleman, not how I'd imagine the godfather of minimal dub/techno to look.

Ah yes, I remember that now. Sorry to get your hopes up - that one's definitely been binned.
Have you looked on their website though? They often post expanded versions of certain features.

Damn, never mind, my fault for trying not to be a hoarder. I've looked on the Wire's site and it's not up there, yet at least. Thanks anyway.
elvischomsky - December 6, 2009 02:31 AM (GMT)
I've finally discovered my other copy of Bingo Master - signed by all the band, as were.
There is a beer pint stain on the back, and MES has scribbled some of the lyrics.
If anyone wants this, please PM me.
Free to a good home.
Clearing out the attic - or my wife will kill me!
Thank you.

Anyone want Future Artists by The Dead C? I really tried, but now it just sits there glowering at me. :(
gappy tooth - December 10, 2009 08:31 PM (GMT)
Well, I would happily take it, as I've never heard The Dead C, despite hearing a lot about them.
However, I "won" the last batch, so I'd rather let someone else share in Fritter's bounteous generosity :) .
You're very kind.

Records that sit in the corner glowering at you:
1. That scary King Crimson cover painting.
2. Totally Wired 7"
3. Kiss records used to terrify me when I was tiny. :(
