Pavement have picked The Fall for their ATP weekend next year. Unfortunately the event sold out in just over a week, before any acts had been confirmed.

Ah well.

Well, after all that MES has said about Pavement in the past... he's turning very mellow since passing fifty

Looks like a good line up though, I was thinking of going to the ATP's 10th birthday thing, but at £600 odd squid for a chalet... erm, thought better of it.

That Pavement event sold so quick... I've not heard from any of my friends if they got tickets, and I wonder if any FOFers did?

I'm going to the 10 Years ATP with my partner and a couple of rabid Yeah Yeah Yeahs fans though, if anyone else is.

A friend got me a ticket Saturday, we got a 6 berth chalet just as they were selling out.
I know quite few people who are going and ordered tickets as soon as Pavement were announced as curating.

Going to the MBV one in December too

I can't stand Pavement but nearly everyone I know loves them and were dead keen on going, I figured there is always something good on even just going to the indie disco is fun; but I was quite pleased about The Fall and Faust being added.

On a related note: has anyone here seen the ATP film yet, and are The Fall in it at all (I've not noticed them credited on any press releases so far, so I'm assuming not)?

We're going to see it at Brighton Duke Of Yorks cinema this Saturday anyway. Our mates at Brighton's CineCity film festival asked us to distribute the A2 posters for this screening: we'd been told to expect about a dozen, although the package Warp Films sent contained 100. Although we've valiantly circulated about 60 of them so far, there's still a few left - so if any Brighton-area FOFers have suitable public premises to display them in (bars, shops, venues etc), let me know and I'll try and drop some by before the weekend.

Obviously if the Duke Of Yorks want a few more back to promote the film (now with added performance by The Sticks) themselves, they're welcome to them. Or we could just return the remainder to be given out on the night. Toby?

Answering my own question, The Fall aren't in the ATP film. John Cooper Clarke is, however, and gives MES a mention.

Good fun.

Maybe the Fall will cover "Two States".

I do like Pavement ( :o ) but hopefully there will be some snide, throw away remark from MES about who designed the covers of their first two lp's. Or something like that.

Handful of interesting NZ/Flying Nun confirmations (amongst many more) for Pavement's ATP now. Wish I was rich enough to go every year...

Seems to be a few 6 berths released at the bargain price of £1042

cheeky buggers. the price of this festival is creeping up. about £170 each when you include all the postage and booking fee shenanigans.

maleslate - February 20, 2010 04:59 PM (GMT)
maybe the fall will cover the pavement fall covers

DeGrise - May 5, 2010 12:00 PM (GMT)
I'll be there if anyone fancies a beer or seven.

Looking forward to it.
