"With regard to the lost bomber" ?? Can't wait to see what that's about.
Will this be available at the counter of Sister Ray, for those who can't be arsed with the whole mail thing?
Divvey - October 7, 2009 10:14 AM (GMT)
great news.
Looking forward to fining it in my letter box.

It's still cheaper to get it directly from me.

In my experience, the staff are too busy sucking on a Ding Dong to display it properly. (It's over there by the CD players.)

I was going to go in today, but unfortunately I haven't got the time-time.

My copy has arrived today. So far I only had the chance to flip through it.
What I saw was enough to make me long for free time to read it all. Looks very much like yet another peak.
Many thanks to Stephen and all contributors.

Is there any way of sorting a subscription?

Not at present, alas, but a Subscriptions Dept. may be set up at some future point.

Mine's been sitting on our fridge for four days now and I still haven't had time to read it. Blame our new non-functioning central heating boiler...
Divvey - October 19, 2009 08:41 AM (GMT)
mine made it all the way to the other side of our planet; looks like a bumper issue!
Congrats again Stephen!
audience log.. now there's an image.

Some people have only just received copies I sent out two weeks ago, due to the general chaos currently surrounding the Royal Mail. If you are still waiting for yours, please let me know.
Aubrey The Cat - October 24, 2009 09:51 AM (GMT)
It's the one I've enjoyed most so far (thought that may be due to having read it in two biggish chunks, taher than over a few days).
I especially liked the Bogshed piece, the pink floyd piece(s), Judith Samuelson's's pieces, and Rebecca's picture and review. And the concerts I have been to bit.
Fritter - November 2, 2009 10:34 AM (GMT)
Much to enjoy and learn about as ever, I particularly liked the Floyd-related pieces, the tour of Birmingham record shops, the piece about music on Radio 4, Bogshed, Mark Perry and Captain Quo all excellent. Rebecca's review of the Knockouts is a particular highlight.
I'm really annoyed with myself for tipping a can of beer over this issue, as it has already started to look a bit dog-faced.
By the way, I went to a small press fair in London yesterday and checked out the competition - fucking shoddy (an article headed Mixtapes that wasn't about Mix Tapes at all, huh) and it all looked like it was typeset with fridge magnet poetry, which was all good and punky in 1980 maybe. Also some £2 fanzines had little more than 10 pages - 40 pages of ICFQ is a bumper bargain by comparison.
Stephen - November 2, 2009 11:32 AM (GMT)
Thanks for all the kind words. I will make sure that the relevant people know you liked their stuff.
I'll send another copy to replace the beer-drenched one.

Now that's what I call After Sales Service, cheers! (oops)

I have neglected to mention how poignant the unpacking of Anchorage was for me; this is a song tha has always moved me & Stephen's revue offered me an insight that it may not all be regret.
where else can we find writing like this beyond online blogs?
That's why publications like ICFQ are a small but important piece of our musical landscape.
Hats off to S. Fall esq.
and did anyone see CW Stoneking on Spicks & Specks?? see if it's on ABC iView or youtube, he's quite a character; pity he didn't get to sing.
mjungblu - November 7, 2009 01:50 PM (GMT)

:applaud: Another fine issue, Bogshed article was really good.
I like the music reviews, they are real encouragement to check out the artistes in question

When's the next issue out?

Finally got round to going in with a stack of issues. There are 12 copies of issue #10 on their counter right now, cowering beneath the towers of remaindered rock books.
