I kind of feel sorry for him; not in a piss-taking way. He seems old enough to have probably seen a lot of things at the Palais that meant a lot to him, and the emotion of the situation seems to have got to him and affected his judgement. Maybe he was there mainly for the "historical" aspect and not for The Fall, which we all know is a big mistake to start with! He does male a twat of himself for sure, but it's kind of sad really cos he seems upset, but he should have known better.

This is the only Fall gig I've been too so far where I was too fucked to remember anything about it. I was one of the last to leave the venue, I can remember that, but I can't remember the bloke getting onstage, I can't remember anything about the gig itself at all.

In other words, this DVD/CD is a godsend. :D

Ahem, anyway, man in brown suit. He was a bit pissed and emotional, but it came from the heart, and was pretty brief. He probably had one of those 'if I don't do this now I'll never get the chance again' moments. Better to risk making a fool of yourself than have a regret for life, and so, fair play to him. :)

Finally got to watch it. Some make excuses for the guy on account of being drunk or something. But in vino veritas. He was attacking the group for not doing what he wanted them to do, for not sharing his opinions. Sounds like a perfect example of the left-wing/liberal fascism/intolerance of differing opinions that MES talks about.

Being so convinced of his own rectitude, surely he will not regret it.
