I'll try and write a proper review, in the meantime.....

Wire were absolutely superb;

Teenage Fanclub were excellent (a few new tracks Joey - very similar to the stuff on Howdy and Man-Made but that's no bad thing)

Tricky was extraordinary, he had the whole place rocking;

Gang of Four were superb - much better than I expected and Andy Gill really gave it everything;

and X were very good. I don't know much about them but I love Billy Zoom's schtick. What a star and very funny. I never realised he'd played with Gene Vincent - bet he could tell a few stories.

The bands are only half the story -the bingo, the pop quiz ,the vibe and hanging out with good friends is also a big part of it.

Another excellent (fourth) ATP. I will definitely be back for more in 2010.

And loads more photos from a plethora of other photographers here:

Excellent news, I've always fancied going to ATP - if I'm going to camp I'd prefer not to do it with 50000 bongo-playing people, so a Butlins in Minehead would be ideal.

Great stuff! I had hoped to Ebay my way into thi, but sadly it wasn't to be.

Did you see The Bronx by any chance?

I went the week before and had an equally great time, Devo, Sleep(how fucking heavy?, Jesus Lizard, Fuck Buttons etc. dancing to soul tunes in the Crazy horse bar at 3am going swimming/down the water slides as a hangover cure I love it there. Back for MBV in December hopefully.

Agreed. It's the best festival ever. I'll be back (for the third time) to the MBV one at Christmas and I can't wait.

I did catch Bronx - not really what I was in the mood for when they came on. I heard good reports of Mariachi Bronx the same band inna Mariachi stylee.

That was my fourth ATP and definitely not my last. A really superb festival. I won't be back for MBV in December but will certainly make one of the May 2010 ones. See you there!
