Are you Mods on commission today? First Conway's Peel Poll, now this! :o
Will get back later...

It's between Blindness, What About Us? and Wolf Kidult Man for me. Went for Blindness in the end as its omission from a live set would disappoint me the most (as with last year's Liverpool gig!).
Völlig Totall - February 18, 2009 12:24 AM (GMT)
Still Blindness, but the definitive version is on Interim.
Tommy Shooter not much far behind.
Fall Sound and Reformation aren't bad either. :)
Mere Pseud. - February 18, 2009 06:42 AM (GMT)
Blindness would have been extremely obvious if it was the Peel session version, maybe even the one on Interim.
This paves the way for Alton Towers. Might also have been Assume, Can Can Summer, Fall Sound, Midnight In Aspen, Reformation!, Scenario etc. etc.
Dice Man - February 18, 2009 09:54 AM (GMT)
Can Can Summer.
A 15-track mix album off the top of my head:
Senior Twilight Stock Replacer
Early Days Of Channel Fuehrer
Reformation!
The Wright Stuff
Alton Towers
Taurig
Blindness [Narnack]
--------------------------
Can Can Summer
Scenario
I've Been Duped
Tommy Shooter
The Bad Stuff
Is This New
50 Year Old Man
--------------------------
Coach And Horses [Bonus 7'' LP]
Midnight In Aspen [Mixing It 2005, hidden track CD]
Hotel Amnesia - February 18, 2009 11:34 AM (GMT)
Even though Reformation is comfortably the poorest album of the three I am going to give my vote to "Fall Sound" which, apart from the title track, is about the only decent track on the album.
Tommy Shooter, Blindness, Can Can Summer, Wolf Kidult & What About Us? not far behind.

Blindness is simply a monumental Fall classic. One of the greatest songs they have ever done.
Reformation (!) is a close second. Followed by Fall Sound.
The best track on IWS--Senior Twilight Stock Replacer--comes in around 10th.

Yeah, but it's rubbish on FHR! The ONLY version is the one with Peel saying, "I've done it again," at the beginning. Perfection.

The Peel version is better, but that hardly makes the FHR version rubbish!
It's also about a hundred times better than Can Can F***in Summer. :P

I'd like to add a mention for Blindness on the vinyl release of Fall Heads Roll, which is the best version of it that I've heard. As much as I love it though, my vote goes to Tommy Shooter.
Nosey Matron Type - February 18, 2009 09:52 PM (GMT)
This was tough. I narrowed it down to:
Blindness
Fall Sound
Reformation
Tommy Shooter
Can Can
Wolf Kidult
Senior Twilight
and then I played them all back to back.
And I gotta go with Tommy Shooter.
All the music is great but TS lyrics and MES vocals pushed it over the top!!

Systematic Abuse.
It is the truth!

Good list - reminds you they are still the best! :applaud:
I voted Youwanner, best track on FHR for me - way better than Blindness in my opinion... but never seems to get much of a look in.

I'm sure Youwanner was voted favourite track on the original FHR poll, ahead of Blindness.

lukeman - February 19, 2009 05:43 PM (GMT)
voted blindness but would have gone for systematic abuse if it sounded anywhere near as good on record as it did in brixton last year
twinz2z - February 19, 2009 06:34 PM (GMT)
Voted for Reformation.
Good song, good video, its not easy to look cool dancing, but the dudes managed alright.

When is the 'properly mastered' version of RPTLC coming out?
