Title: man love
Description: not gay

chachacha - October 18, 2008 07:44 AM (GMT)
That Tony Leung is a handsome fella
badem/chirgur-he'd be a challenge to get a giggle out of
Chow Yun Fat of course

Nowt wrong with a bit of gay man-love - if that's ur inclination.

Continuing the Asian theme - John Lone in M Butterfly was convincing as a woman.

Uncle Monty, Whitnail, I and presuming Ed.

Mopiranger - October 19, 2008 05:57 PM (GMT)
When i'm old I want to look like Lee Marvin or Charles Bronson. Or Warren Oates.

ME!

I suppose there's not much oppotunity for man love these days, I mean Captain Oates, all of Shackleton's men when they saw the rescue ship come for them, a lot of man love among adventurers.
Restricted to filmstar hero worship nowadays.

It looks like Colin Powell and a lot of other past secretary's of state have got a bit of Man-love for Obama, bbc linky-poos-a-roonie.
(ps-mods, the obama thread is filter-blocked).

Tony Leung is a great actor.

Does this non-gay "man love" just include handsome men?
If not, I feel a certain affection for Alan Bennett...non-sexual, like...

Oh, who let the riff-raff in!? ^_^

I've thought of another. Daniel Day-Lewis.
My affection for that man has no libidinous bent whatsoever. -_-

Larry David, cos he makes me laugh. And shares many of the same neuroses perhaps (essential for the male/male platonic bonding process).
Oh, and because he's bald and doesn't hide it.
