Oops, you're quite right. Ross Crichton wrote the actual Zig Zag piece. (God, the shit I've got rattling around inside my brain!) Dudanski was previously in the 101ers and also played on most of Metal Box, before going on to be in Basement 5. What a cv!

I'd like to pretend that this reflects my encyclopedic knowledge of reggae but he was literally the only rather portly reggae artist my memory banks could dredge up from that era.

Excuse me but my answer on the previous page seems to be have been overlooked. In addition there is one solo performer, a member of neither band, blind Frankie Armstrong that's who.

Although Inner Circle were quite commercial ... the early Jacob Miller stuff - recorded with Augustus Pablo when JM was only 14 is truly mind-bogglingly excellent stuff. He does the original Baby I Love You So and Keep On Knocking for starters.
