Do you like Brix's vocals?
Conway - May 12, 2004 10:35 AM (GMT)
As much as nails down the blackboard.

In small doses with the right song.. but she's way too complacent rich spoilt brat sounding
Martin - May 13, 2004 07:57 AM (GMT)
I think a lot of the problemm comes from her appearance. If she was just a plain short-haired thing, then maybe people would have a different opinion.
Stephen - May 13, 2004 08:01 AM (GMT)
So of 17 voters so far, only 3 dislike Brix's vocals.
Maybe she's not so unpopular after all...
generalist - May 13, 2004 09:11 AM (GMT)
make that 4.....
apart from on dr faustus (perhaps) * exotic fruits* ! :D
Martin - May 13, 2004 09:54 AM (GMT)
Do you think it's only females (and Conway) who are agin the lady?
Stephen - May 13, 2004 09:56 AM (GMT)
Conway loves her really.
I reckon he catches himself shouting 'Banana!!' occasionally.

Stephen - June 14, 2004 11:13 AM (GMT)
What's Brix doing now anyway? When she's not round at Conway's house, that is.
generalist - June 14, 2004 12:22 PM (GMT)
isn't she doing her fashion shop thing?

She hasn't visited lately.
Stephen - June 16, 2004 12:27 PM (GMT)
Is that because she now lives there?
;)

No denial there, either!
Conway - June 17, 2004 11:32 AM (GMT)
Brix doesn't live with me.
Bloody hell, this is getting ridiculous. :banghead:

Of course not, Conway. You live with her.
As some sort of loveslave, I'll wager: women in power roles, & all that...
:D :P
*whispers* DO you think Conway's getting fed up with this yet?

Not sure. I reckon we can probably push him just a teeny bit further...
Gaz - December 7, 2004 08:12 AM (GMT)
Had to vote yes as there is a distinct lack of a "Sometimes" option....
EG:

It goes a lot further than her vocals, I could almost overlook her vocals, but her wrecking of The Fall is something altogether more serious.

Er, how did she do this? They seem to be still going...or do you think she made them too poppy? Or did she ruin MES in some way? More details, please!
LutenAnt - December 9, 2004 02:25 PM (GMT)
Brix is on some of the best Fall albums! Perverted, Wonderful and Frightening, Bend Sinister, TNSG, Frenz, all great albums to me.

Brix always has great hair.
And right, it does get silly.
I love her guitar work on the 80's songs, and Light User is f*ing great. Like someone said elsewhere on the forum, I don't think I'd be a Fall fan if not for her, I mean, how would I in America have ever heard of The Fall and got into the early 80's Fall?
The Wonderful and Frightening World of The Fall remains my favorite album.

I can think of another two highlights, Hex and Dragnet, neither with vixen girl on them. <_<

17 in the against camp counting me (if i could figure out how to vote)
except for her shouting 'hey hey hey on the Hacienda live version of Kicker Conspiracy'
but then again, this is too like all that pop vibe she brought to The Fall
so, scrub the above exception
ALL her vocals are ruinous girly pop vocals

Hotel Bloedel? Just because this slur against our beloved Brix has stood for 362 days doesn't mean you're going to get away with it.
Hipper Still - January 23, 2006 11:36 PM (GMT)
Of course we like Brix's vocals, apart fom the man himself she is the best thing that ever happened to The Fall.

With the possible exception of Bramah (I), Friel, Baines & Nagle, I agree.

Bonkers in Phoenix is one of my favouritest things ever by the band, wacky mix or no wacky mix.
