Title: Pop quiz #6
Description: name the bands
zoot horn polo - December 12, 2006 07:06 PM (GMT)
Name these bands from the initials of the band-members.
They are listed in this order: vocalist, lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist (if applicable), bassist, keyboards (if applicable), and finally drummer.
Some bands are represented by their "classic" line-up, rather than a line-up that might have existed later (or previously).
The list is roughly chronological, i.e. the more recent bands appear towards the end.
Anyway... name the bands!

Yes, with three lead singers, I can see that it was hard to work that one out... Levon might be offended, though.

Thanks ZHP, this was apparently my kind of quiz... but I was lucky to find it early.
I feel a bit relieved that the answers to the last 3rd were bands that I don´t know much about...

Never having heard of them before, and intrigued by the name (I'm a hardcore Bowie nut), I Googled
Thin White Rope and found a
Wikipedia article on them which concludes:
"Their name "Thin White Rope" derives from William S. Burroughs description of human semen."Given that Bowie was a Burroughs fan, and became "the Thin White Duke" for a while, this information gave a whole new meaning to some of the
Station To Station material.
The other day a friend pointed me at a fascinating site called Little Hits which contains many bizzare and long-lost obscure songs from around the world, one of which is by Thin White Rope (see
here). Not at all bad (if very strange).
The whole site is worth checking out - some very strange and unusual things there, very few of which I'd ever heard of, including
Drummerman by Tonight, which I used to own.
