Title: Googling The Fall Online

colinham - February 5, 2007 11:08 PM (GMT)
To get to this site I often type Fall into Google and hit the 'I'm feeling lucky' button (which takes you straight to the first hit on the list it produces).
The order has now changed however and the top hit is 'the official Fall website'

Is this how its supposed to be or should we fight back (not that I know how to fight back)

Neal Cassady - February 5, 2007 11:34 PM (GMT)
Its probably at the top as more sites are begining to link to the official site and not this one - this is a sure fire way to get the top spot.

As the official site gets updated less often than i post it will probably put a few people off.....

The unofficial website has returned to number one again. (should anyone care)

Divvey - April 16, 2007 12:23 PM (GMT)
I put "the Fall" into the BBC website & got this...

QUOTE
Recommended results for the fall
BBC recommends: The Fall

As unconventional as the band themselves, this website contains photos, news, a biography and lots more
www.visi.com/fall/

More results from the Web

I'm sure the website isn't all that unconventional... but the members of its forum, now that's another story!

Why is it when I type "Fall Online Forum" into Google it says this?:

The Fall online - Minneapolis Colocation - St. Paul Colocation

What's that "Minneapolis Colocation - St. Paul Colocation" about? If you click on the link it does indeed come to this site, but I wonder if that "Minneapolis/St. Paul" stuff will confuse people who are looking for our Manchester-based band The Fall.

Does it have to do with visi.com being based out of Minny/St. Paul?

more likely to get Norah Jones these days.

Yes, visi.com is based in Minneapolis & St. Paul. It is rather confusing though. I don't know why google wants to put that in the search results, not very helpful at all.

I was searching for ages for this forum on Google the other night, it's quite hard to find.

Any plans for an iphone/portable version of the website Conway?

because while they are blooming a pretty blue, I didn't cut them back in early spring and they are over five feet tall - and need to be staked.

I am thinking of cutting some of the outer stems back, even though they are blooming and see what happens - any thoughts?

Carrie

PS I need to not be afraid to cut stuff back in the spring...

Just use the search term "Perambulor Cufflynx" and google will direct you to this very post.

Nobody has ever typed "Perambulor Cufflynx" before. I am the very first. B)

According to the Firefox add-on Flagfox the InvisionFree server is located in Houston (Fall connection!).

I like it. I think "colocation" is very much a Fall kind of word.
