Heres the premise (saw this elsewhere a while ago and it's fun)....

input a lyric into babelfish and translate it , then translate it back.Then geuss what the hell it was in the first place. The following example was english to trad chinese and back again...(winner posts new lyric)...

Thinking about it , I am going to put a 3 day limit till when the correct answer can come in ( the thoughts in that last sentance were translated to another language and back again via babelfish). I doubt anyone will get it , but if not it would be nice if someone else joins in fromtime to time.

I know what you mean about the Stones. They're on the TV over here right now, because the Scorsese film 'Shine A Light' has just been released. It's funny, the first Stones song I ever heard was Jumpin' Jack Flash and it was on Scorsese's Mean Streets...so I can't really complain about Marty's love for them.

The Kinks song charted but it was not a huge hit. They played it a lot in concert and in the last years of their existance, they played a truncated version as part of a medlay of hits.

I read an interesting thing on this forum a while ago about 'Das Vulture Ans Ein Nutter-Wain'; how the title mixes different (old?) types of German. It's only a vague memory I have (in general), but I'm sure someone said they knew a professor/academic who knew old German and even he was at a loss....

I don't know much about German other than I took it in the 8th grade and German printing, at the time, was very difficult to read. I understand they've gotten away from that very dense type style.
