Title: My Two Cents
Description: .

Admiral Spock - September 29, 2004 09:18 PM (GMT)
I believe its time that I put my two cents worth into this situation...

I understand that I havent been on this forum as long as most people but I joined this forum because a friend of mine wanted me to...after I joined I met Jon and Mike and a few others and became friends with them

In my opinion they were doing a great job...what you guys are saying about him I dont believe that it is true...Captain Mike seemed to be a really nice person who cared about this forum...when I heard about mt2 I was a little confused about all this...then there was some stuff going around and bad things happened

Captain Mike gave STC a push in the right direction when mt2 wasnt here...you cant say that he did a bad job for that....he did something nice for someone and mt's expectations of him were to high for him...so he decided to step right over him and do whatever he wanted

I understand its his forum and thats fine but he shouldnt have done what he did
I went with them because I felt that it was the right choice. What I new about this forum was dead to me....and there was no point in staying

Also, I want to add that it was I that was spamming on the forum because I felt that you guys screwed him and the other Admins ie. Jon and Matrix....they were doing there job and they got screwed....I wont apologize for what I did because I feel no reason too.....

Natima, no offence to you, but you are full of ****...you have known Mike and the others longer than me and you just stab them in the back....you think that you can talk about all this crap but it doesnt mean anything

I wont spam on here anymore, but I just wanted to put my two cents worth into this situation....I dont believe that it was fair for you mt to screw them when they did a favour for you....if you dont want people taking care of your stuff, then do it yourself....even if you had a family emergency you should have just temporarily shut down the forum instead...

dont take this the wrong way I had friends here and some of them decided to stay....some decided to go...I felt that I was doing the right thing and going so...thats all I have to say

Peace Out

You should read what I just said in the other thread...it is not that I thought Captain Mike had nothing to offer. I will always acknowledge what good was done before MT returned, and it's not like I don't understand why you're upset. None of this has been good. And it wasn't without thought that I did what I did--but I felt and still feel that I have no choice. You may not like the fact that I have explained my rationale at such length, but I don't want there to be any question as to what I was thinking or why I have made the choices that I have.

What truly upsets me about all of this is the fact that on one hand he seemed to be trying to build this community up but on the other hand was trashing it on TNZ. And then when MT, the original creator of this forum returned, and the deletion mess got started, even though he didn't do the deletion, he condoned the spamming, called names (which I never did--notice I have accused behavior, and avoided personal insults), and so on. None of this was the proper way to resolve a conflict, not by a long shot, and it destroyed what little confidence I may have had left in his leadership abilities. I wish that, instead of the infantile spamming and name-calling, a calm discussion could've been had...but I guess that bridge has been burned by now, and it's best for everyone to go their separate ways. You may feel betrayed--but so do those of us who stay here.

Yes, I have been here longer than you, but I was also here longer than Captain Mike, by quite a lot. Ultimately, what I care about most is what sustains this community. I can tell you that had MT shut down the forum, it would have been a disservice to its members in much the same way as the deletion. He was thinking of the community when he chose to do that. But I feel that MT's trust has been betrayed, by the people that he trusted to look out for everyone's best interests, instead of just those of a small segment of posters. I wish that had not meant having to break with a particular group individuals, but I couldn't have chosen any other way.

I don't want to have enemies--I certainly would not follow and harass you or anything like that.

Naturally, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but as Seven said in Scorpion, every decision must be debated, and we, as humans, lack harmony. It shall be our undoing.

She might have been right, but I don't think so. I gave Mike every option to be part of this board, but I was refused. The only thing he wants is to rule over everyone as an Admin. Point blank, he's just like that.

Sorry, I just don't want admins like that, rude comments, or spam in any board that I helped create.

IF closed us down....its as simple as that....we apologize for all the comotion, but we want to set it right...whoever sent the complaint to IF, send another message saying to let us have our board back....then we wont bother you again...you have my word and Captain Mikes for that matter

Seen as the other thread got closed before I could respond to this (and I feel I should) Im posting it here instead..

I submitted the complaint and -only- the complaint.. IF choose to close the board down of their own accord I didn't give them any suggestions of what action to take they did that themselves.
The administrators of that forum board broke IF's rules, IF took the same steps they take for any other admins who break their rules, and only THEY can reverse it.
You break the rules you pay the consiquences of your actions but its out of my hands and everyone elses accept for IF they never even contacted me again after I submitted the complaint, complaints are submitted via a form theres no way of even retracting it if i wanted to (which i dont, not my fault you all did what you did and broke the rules).. My guess is your board was closed for spamming it all over our forums which did happen and it matters not if it happens again or not the rules were already broken. Read IF's terms of service they are very clear on what they do or dont allow.

Natima Lang - September 30, 2004 05:29 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure, but I think the head admin of InvisionFree just registered for our board...is that the "real" Duffman? I'm a little concerned, because he's been added to the admin group.

Kas - September 30, 2004 07:27 AM (GMT)
Possibly, if it is then it might stop further harrasments on our boards :)

mt2 - September 30, 2004 12:16 PM (GMT)
It is indeed him. He requested an account to view the logs and possible see about restoring the board's posts. The account's status is temporary.

Kas - September 30, 2004 02:56 PM (GMT)
Nice if we can get the old posts restored :)

you know I read the whole dam Terms of Service..didnt say anything about what we did to be wrong....

Did you read the rules as well?? The ones that say you arent allowed to spam the URL for your forum boards on other boards etc??

Kas - September 30, 2004 05:35 PM (GMT)
The story in full for the last time just incase you really truely dont know whats been going on.. (IE if you havent been following posts over here)

MT removed all admins and moderators from the boards but missed one (Jon) who proceeded to delete ALL of the posts from this forum board and then spam every thread with a link to TNZ's forum boards. On TNZ's forum board was a message from Mike (the OWNER of TNZ) saying that STCHAT was closing all users should register and stay there (clearly this is not the case, do we look closed to you?). Both Mike(TNZ board owner) and Jon(TNZ board admin) were in on the activities that took place here which are a breach of IF's rules and terms of service. Jon also edited everyones information, or at least the active posters informations adding a link to TNZ's forum boards there as well in their sigs.. A few users from that board have also came over here swearing and generaly harrasing STCHATS forums as well, which is another breach of the rules.
MT saw what had happened and removed Jon from global mod. Later -after- that.. there were no other admins or mods left other then MT someone edited my sig again as well as my country information placing some rather offensive things in there which I don't care to repeate. Now how did they do that without hacking the boards or something?

Get it now? IF would not close down a forum board without good reason and evidence for doing so. What they did on all accounts was wrong and against the rules.

The hacking of Kas' sig DIRECTLY involves her in this matter, even more so than myself. She was a victim of the harassment and has every right to speak her mind.
