I was having this discussion with my uncle on different starship firepower. Between and Akira Class starship, a Defiant Class Starship, a Prometheus Class Starship and a Sovereign Class starship, which would come out on top. I said it would be a tie between the Akira and the Sovereign. Due to the Akira's torpedo arament, it would be able to hit multi targers such as a Prometheus's MVA mode or a ship the size of a Sovereign. But the Sovereign's manuverability plus its Type XII phasers, quantum and photon torpedos, and the ability to take and endure a beating would prove valiant. What's your opinion? enterprisefan2k3 out.

Well,the Defiant is heavily armed,but it is small and its torpedo compliment is limited.Remember,it took fairly heavy damage from an Excelsior(of course,the Defiant was holding back and taking shots it otherwise would have tried to evade).I think,I would rank these vessels like this:
(1)Prometheus
(2)Sovereign
(3)Akira
(4)Defiant

i think the Prometheus really wailed on those Romulan ships,(no offense to Defient). i haven't really seen much of the Akira so i canno make an acurate judgment, well actually in startrek Armada it's a relativly small and and you get the bang(fire power that you pay for). the Defient however is a good strike and run ship(refrencing from my experience with startrek armada), and opens the path for bigger ships. the Sovereign is a good attack ship and a good base defence(reference to startrek armada).

This one is easy, Any Romulan ship would out class any of them :P

well they have cloaking for one, most federation ships are not designed for battle,they have only made a few for this, defiant etc. even they were not very good, and as you can see in a lot fo the major battles, the federation always come off second best, its usually one or two ships that make it out alive. i like the romulans even thought they get a bad rap most of the time

The only reason the Federation comes of second best is because they follow a system of rules. The romulans on the other hand do not. They ignore the rules of a fair fight when in battle and otherwise.

i would have to agree with the Matrix resequencer, because i know all about armada. the Prometheus destroyed that warbird in ONE move, Wot other ship (except the borg cubes) can make a claim like that one??? :)

yes i agree they are Very Powerful indeed But if they couldn't destroy Voyager in one shot wot makes u think they could destroy a ship more than twice its size??? :P

2) end of the show

neither happened, but I am sure that voyager would have been easily swated if it wasn't the "star" of the show.

they reason voyager wasnt destroyed is because it would of made for a short series if it was any other ship it would last as long as a snow flake in summer
