Incidentally Mr Kiosk, I listened to your album again yesterday. I absolutely love it... it's a shame that (and I'm guessing now) maybe a few hundred heard it, where millions of peoples' ears have been infected by, say, Oasis (post-1995). I just think that something with such a mad streak of joy running through it needs to be heard. What a stupid world we live in...

wow new silver sun songs i've not heard from the b-sides and rareties.

so "saint" i quite like. cut'n'thrust, i've discovered, is just "jessica" with a different chorus, nice. "new to me" on first listen starts like a darkness song! but sounds okay. a little cheesey. together again doesnt sound like james singing to be honest but i quite like it. im pleased i got them. straight to the ipod for some quality listening!

And "She'd Like To" is a pretty blatant pastiche of a certain extremely popular and all-round inferior band, a fact I believe he admitted...

At what point does it go wrong? If you go to the table at the bottom, click the 'Free' button, scroll to the bottom of the next page, wait for the countdown, enter the code then right-click to download... which bit?

It checks how much has been downloaded against your IP address and limits you per hour. So if you've already downloaded some stuff through Rapidshare, you won't be able to get the next lot (without a premium account) for an hour. So if you've gotten anything at all through it, that'll be the reason...

Or if you're with a service provider that shares IP addresses, like the awful NTL do. If you're with NTL, you'll need to Google for Rapidshare download apps.

It's working now, weirdness.

I've not managed to get anything at all, so I can only presume I'm on a shared IP. Maybe I'll just keep trying until I've got everything.

I downloaded the first two ays ago, now everytime i go to download another, it tells me my ip address is already downloading something, which it's not! It won't let me download anything else.

You should only have to wait an hour for the next download unless you've got the dodgy IP issues mentioned above. Here's a page of stuff to try:

Y'know... the thing about Silver Sun having all their best stuff as b-sides has always bemused me. Now I'm even more bemused by the fact that, almost without exception, the demos are better than the final versions.

I just managed to get the Neo Wave demos. Bloody amazing, particularly that version of 'Pipsqueak' - you've probably all already realised how much I love that song anyway.

The Bullets are the band James formed when SS split up, the album is fantastic it sounds just like a SS album....

I did not know that!

Thank you so much for putting these up! Over here in America we don't get a lot of Silver Sun and it's a shame because I love 'em. I've been dying to hear some live stuff for ages and now I can.

I'm a huge fan of 'new to me', have been listening to it constantly since downloading the bootlegs. It's a shame some of the recordings are so quiet as they don't fit that well when put up next to songs from albums etc.

I was wondering if anyone sould do me a favour and re-up load the volume 4 and volume 8 bootleg sets? discovered i was missing a couple of tracks from each and i'd like to get them back.

would really appreciate any help with this...on a real silver sun buzz at the moment after hearing the new track on you tube, and would like to losten to these sets again in their entirety.
