Title: Terrorvision
Description: Complete CD single collection

Damian - April 17, 2005 09:29 PM (GMT)
In an effort to clear some space, I've put up a little auction:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

A mere 34 Terrorvision singles - everything except the last one, Fists of Fury, which I think may only have been a promo release anyway. Cunningly, I held this back until after their recent gigs (the auction has been ready to go for a couple of months) in the hope of there being renewed interest!

It also includes the debut 'Thrive' EP, which it's safe to say is a bit rare.

As mentioned in the description on eBay, some of them have a slightly used feel and one of the 2CD boxes is broken (I don't have a replacement) but they all play fine.

(I've MP3'd the lot to a CD which means I can play them on the DVD player...)

My little investment cost £31 when I bought it.

Take a look at my auction now...

Damian - April 20, 2005 10:47 AM (GMT)
It's now at a ridiculous £72. Only thing is, the two people bidding against each other have a history of non-payment on about 20% of the auctions they've gone for.

Hmmm.

Hmmm.

One of the leading bidders has contacted me separately to ask if I'd sell him just a few of the CDs from it, otherwise 'he'll keep bidding anyway'.

Eek.

Now £82. Closes Wednesday.

The two people bidding against each other both had patchy feedback histories. The new person who has jumped in has just registered newly today.

The previous high bidder, setting up a new ID so that he/she can avoid paying and just have a 'new' account scratched?

Certainly doesn't sound like you're going to get your £82, either way.

You're right.

I can always relist it, but I've always hated it on eBay when people make their auctions look unfriendly by putting up a million conditions (no new bidders, no negative feedback, contact me first, I'll leave negative feedback if you don't pay blah blah...)

Plus if I leave negative feedback, no doubt the bugger will retaliate and ruin my 100% record.

Still, he/she might pay - and there are 13 other people watching it.

Apologies for banging on about it so much folks... I could do with the money right now and I guess I've blatantly used my thread as my vent. I'll stop going on about it now until it closes, then let you know how I get on!

The system of building up a reputation on Ebay works really well - apart from this. It's the one thing that Ebay haven't solved, and it's really frustrating.

20% negative feedback means they are still more likely to pay than not... and as for your one hundered percent record, i doubt if it was 99% it would stp anyone bidding. Not me, that's for sure.

Said I wouldn't update again, but I have good news.

The top bidder who had just registered and therefore had no feedback history, now has a rating of 2 - both for prompt payment (of not inconsiderable sums of money) for Terrorvision rarities.

Watch it tomorrow night, if you want to see how my debt covering activities are going...
