I've got a handful of unwanted band stuff and I'd rather give it to keen people than bin it... just put a message on the Supergrass forum (which seems to be about as populous and frequented as this one), which was fine... but then I tried to put a message on the Decemberists forum.
Just wasted 25 minutes going through the tortuous registration process (including a small Decemberists quiz to weed out undesirables) and then find there's no "new topic" button anywhere! Tried two browsers and still no sign. Feel I must be going mad. There's a section of the forum called 'everything you ever wanted to know about posting', which I thought might say, "Sorry, we've lost our button," or something, but you have to enter a password to get into that bit of the forum, which obviously I don't have. Does that forum exist only as a means of torturing people? Or is it all a big Decemberists in-joke? Perhaps you have to click on the skeleton's nose and any real fan would know that.
Right, I give up. If anyone on this messageboard would like some Decemberists temporary tattoos (it's a long shot, I realise) then let me know in the next few days, otherwise they're going in the bin.
I don't but hey, good band. They toured the States with Clearlake and by all accounts are lovely people. Not that this helps you get shot of those tattoos. Sorry.
Try DrownedInSound if you want someone to take them off your hands, you registered on there some time ago but I don't know if you'd be able to remember your password now!
Good idea, but you're right about the password. Hmph. I just did a password reset but God knows what email address it's just sent an email to. Not one that I've used in the last 7 years at any rate. I'm going to go and do something useful with the rest of my afternoon...
This happened to me on one particular forum. I can't remember which though.
