I've just read that Oliver Postgate (creator of The Clangers, Bagpuss, Ivor The Engine and others) has died. And I'm of the right age for this news to make me sad.
For some reason, BBC News thinks we need David Cameron's opinion on this. Which is apparently that he liked most of his work but never "got" The Clangers. More evidence, if it were needed, of what a halfwit the guy is.
I digress. RIP Oliver. His autobiography comes highly recommended.
I hardly ever watched any of the above so I never understood the fuss about Bagpuss...Ivor the Engine a little perhaps.
