If anyone who's thinking of getting tickets for this gig still hasn't, give these a go:

Oh yeah... and don't pay too much attention to the back of a head that you see frantically bobbing during much of this footage. Ahem.

I have a spare copy of the new Jackdaw4 album. Does anyone want it?

Alex H - March 9, 2008 12:02 AM (GMT)
I'd love it, it's on my wishlist, but I'd have to send you something for it...

Philonski - March 9, 2008 11:46 AM (GMT)
Cool. Will you email me your address?

May I point you towards www.jackdaw4.com/non_flash/news.php where there are some free Jackdaw4 tunes, including their theme to the new BBC2 series, The Cup.

More Jackdaw4 news, and this time I'm heavily excited about it for reasons which will become apparent. I may as well cut-and-paste the "official" blurb.

(For anyone that doesn't know, I run the Eureka Machines website, and they're brilliant. I'll be at both of these)

SCANDAL PROMOTIONS are extremely proud to announce 2 double-headliner shows by JACKDAW4 & EUREKA MACHINES!

================

The simply stunning JACKDAW4 are set to release their third album this year, which again features glorious harmonies set to magnificent song writing.

Praise for JACKDAW4...

"... vocalist Willie Dowling (Honeycrack) orchestrates a mesh of strings and horns that puts you in mind of Jellyfish at their most adventurous. Like the latter, all musical reference points are writ large (do a shot every time there's a nod to Brian Wilson, 10cc and the Beatles and you'll be drunk before the album's end), but it's beautifully done." - Phil Wilding, Classic Rock Magazine

================

The awesome EUREKA MACHINES continue their trek of the country and their apparent mission to make the crowd walk away grinning like a loon. Full of energy and damn good songs, EUREKA MACHINES are guaranteed to have you screaming EUREKA!

Praise for EUREKA MACHINES...

"a glorious cacophony of power pop noise that distills the best bits of Jellyfish with a dash of early Manics and even tosses in a smidge of Beach Boys chorus catchiness" - Classic Rock Magazine

There's a survey to assist them with their new release on their website too, if anyone is interested in that.

Done and done. I hope the third album's out for those shows with Eureka Machines, I believe it's complete.
