i always think about writing a silver sun musical y'know. kinda like Grease but with all silver sun songs. Dunno about the story, maybe we could brainstorm a few ideas on here. Also open to suggestions for which songs to use and how to fit them into a plot!

It'd have to include all of the songs that have been put on video. You could use the dancing girls off Immediate, and for a small consideration we'd hire out the original guitar from there, currently adorning Alex's bedroom wall.

The plot must involve alien life form, in keeping with the covers, and would inevitably have to feature a Japanese scene, Krakatoa, lots of young girls and some yellow lights.

I'm thinking that Grease is looking a bit heavy right now. We're more on the line of a Monkees movie!

starsky and hutch need to be involved. and a water cannon. (no idea why). the lady from the Golden Skin video. Dad who had the weird dream, because it was a bit weird, but very good.

And somehow there has to be a scene where the band get in the lift to hear the "lift music" version of Last Day. Because that would be fun. I know that has happened in various Foo Fighters videos, but....

i would like to see a sequence where the band are chased down the road by a large object. something that you would buy in a patisserie. Like a giant danish pastry. Or a custard tart. Of huge magnitude.

There would have to be a LOT of dialogue to make up for the inconsistency in randomness happening. but i'm sure it would make for an interesting musical...

Although at our little school it's cereal and toast, with orange juice. Sure someone can cobble a song together out of that!

Is there going to be a love interest for our lead (whoever that may be!) or is it going to be something more like Dr. Seuss? One pastry-led event after another? I really want a cinnamon swirl now.

A couple of love interests perhaps; Julia and Sweet Lucy.
