Title: Snow Day!!!
Description: Hooray!

Pete - February 8, 2007 11:01 AM (GMT)
I've got the day off. It would be a little more special if I wasn't actually off sick at the moment, but I can't really complain. I've braved the snow to build a snowman with my wife.

Has anybody else been this lucky?

Philonski - February 8, 2007 12:09 PM (GMT)
Yes and no. Yesterday I fished out a load of things I didn't need to be at work to do, so today I'm working at home in my pyjamas.

No. Just a bit of rubbish sludge. I got into work early. :(

And I'm very jealous of anyone who's spent the day building a snowman with someone. It is now your obligation to photograph it and upload a picture for us all to see.

Here in Lincolnshire we have three snowflakes, Gerald, Bernard and Archie.

That's all.

Your garden looks remarkably similar to ours... shed in the same place... I was going to say the only thing that's different is the snowman, but looking out of the window, I've just seen that the kids in the flat downstairs have built one each! Ahhhh! The bigger one has a branch for hair and a carrot stuck in its chest.

Oh and there's a little snow cat as well! That one looks quite professional. I suspect that may have been the work of their mum.

Oh and the house behind have made one wearing a hat! And the house opposite have made one in their front garden with big ears! There must have been a flurry of activity since I last looked out of the window. I'm surrounded by snowmen!

philonski, watch very closely and make sure they aren't slowly edging towards the door to your house!

no snow for me, i'm afraid :(

Lucky snowbound people. In view of the fact that I had somewhere to be tonight, it was just as well that it didn't settle here, but I'd still have liked it...

I didn't actually get up until midday so it was mostly gone by then. However I went to the gym with my flatmate and we have to cross a field to get there... upon seeing it was still snowbound, she decided it would be great to make a snow angel. And then chase me to try and push me over, resulting in me standing up and her falling over. Twice. And me laughing at her.

Good times.

Well the pic below outside my house made sure I wasn't going to work, more pics like that please!!

I didn't make it but I had to report into a local office to make out I attempeted to get to work & then I left :) Being a Civil Servant can be ok at times B)

By 4pm most of the snow in London was gone as we got some sleet & the temprature was about 4/5c. Its like it never happened.

I was furious that I didn't build a snowman   :( :(
