Title: Who Everyone Is.
Description: Well, it says General Discussion...

Devking - February 1, 2007 06:48 AM (GMT)
In the old RPs that I have gone to, (yes, I've gone to other RP forums) everyone who's active pretty much knows each other (not personally, but at least one thing or another...). Anyways, since this is the General Discussion place, I'd like if everyone posted something about themselves... Yes, it sounds really preschool-nish and is pretty random, but this way, random people who come by or new people on the forum *coughs* can find something interesting about someone else, and then decide to post. You don't have to post, but it'd be cool to know something about everyone... knowing that barely anyone is alive anymore.

------

Anyways, I'll start with a few things about myself...

1. I'm enterprising. If you don't know what that means, get a dictionary, moron.

2. I'm random and crazy, the worst combination you'll see in your life. I'm random because I talk about random things and do random things. It's obvious how I'm crazy...

3. I used to be a GM at a Naruto RP forum. But I quit because they started making weird changes to the forums which I didn't like. Although I came much later than anyone else at the forum, I was the one who made the forum less confusing and more active.

4. I make A LOT of suggestions. That's why I think there should be a suggestions thread somewhere. (P.S. RP Missions, Ranks, and "Moderated" RPGs are nice touches to RP forums.)

5. Hate blogging. Hate templated websites. Don't even talk about that stuff in front of me.

6. I'm weird. Reason: I made up a BanKai for my character.

Note: I am used to old-fashion RPGs, where everyone uses swords, daggers, and things like that, and everyone posts with high description, little action, and all in past-tense. I'm open for suggesstions on how I can enhance my role-playing.

KatanokiChaos - February 1, 2007 02:51 PM (GMT)
Not a half bad idea. I used to have an introduction forum, but that was back before the crash, where there was only a few people and the board was only populated by a small group of friends from school. When more people come, though (and it seems there are people coming) I\'ll probably put it back, but there never was use for it before.

More good ideas. I\'ll make a suggestion thread when I get home (But right now, I don\'t want to make a sticky because there\'ll be all those ///s in them. And I\'m lazy. Don\'t kill me. o_o;; )) .

As for ranks in RPs, I do have a section for advanced RPers. However, as to actual ranks, I had a system for it once which caused bad blood among RPers more than anything else. Nowadays, other than the advanced RP separation, I try to keep things free form.

And as for moderated RPs, there is the Chaotic Guilds section. ^_^ Just, no one\'s posted in it. ;-;

._. And I\'ve completely gotten off topic. Ok, about myself. Some good things first...

I\'ll admit that I\'m a bit sadistic. A bit more than a bit, I guess. Wait, is that a good thing? ._.

I\'ve been RPing for a few years. Not as long as some, not as short as some, but I\'ll do my best to help new people and will respect those who in turn provide the same for me.

Anime pwns. And video games. And Scifi. Not skiffy, though, the wannabe sci-fi channel that gets rid of their shows (more than once!) for the sake of ratings and money. Buy on iTunes!

I want to be a writer when I get older.

And I am obsessed with Tool. You can never get enough of such a good thing. Bob, I mean AOSHI-back-when-I-was-crazy-about-him obsessed. Yeah. Though Aoshi is still <3

And the bad...

I used to god mode. I\'ll admit it. I don\'t anymore, but I still did, once.

When I get angry, I tend to yell a lot. I don\'t usually get angry over message boards, though.

I\'m a tad opinionated, but I avoid acting like a pretentious know-it-all. I\'ve seen it in others, and do NOT want to seem like that. *coughblinkfromXCcough*

Ah. Yes. Three things of very little importance I forgot about myself. xD

1. I love Linkin Park. They rock. They're what brought me into the era of Alternative.

2. Sometimes I somehow start to god-mod and what not without knowing it.

3. I have a website.

Dren - February 7, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
1. First and foremost, I'm a geek. I like D&D. I like computers. I like Nerdcore. Sudo shut up.

2. Decent grammar and good spelling are important to me. If you type like an illiterate idiot, you don't deserve to be writing.

3. Ignorance really pisses me off. Same with intolerance of others' beliefs. Disagreeing with somebody is fine, as is a persuasive argument. Just don't hate someone because of what they believe.

4. I don't use Microsoft products, and I'm proud of it. Mac OS X and Linux FTW!

5. Im pedan thanc Sindarin. Or rather, I speak broken Sindarin. As I said, I'm a geek. Sudo STFU.

6. I'm sarcastic. And sarcasm doesn't convey well in text, so if something I say sounds off, that's probably why.

Yeah, but what does Faster Than Light have to do with OS X and Linux?

Devking - February 10, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
FTL means Faster Than Light?!
0_o

TWIGLET - July 22, 2007 11:44 PM (GMT)
FTL? wtf, I have a mac and I;m really not feeling the whole "Mac is revolutionary with its 5% if market share and the fact microsoft had to fund them 3 mil to keep them alive. I don't like mac really because the company is way too cocky. Bill Gates is a total evil person but he's not overly cocky.

I Laugh at Dren a.k.a. nerD Chaos's profile. XD sorry. :)

OH, as for myself, recently moved couple months ago to ohio from florida, and since said incident, no more old people and boredom, now i airsoft a lot and go camping out in the woods and have a kickass lego city in the basement located next to the airsoft target range, just incase those plastic toys get cocky. Which by the way, just throwing it out there, Lego's have a NICE blowback effect when you shoot them. ^.^

KatanokiChaos - July 23, 2007 01:57 PM (GMT)
Y'know, Macs aren't really THAT bad. I just don't like them. And I'm going to hit myself, how dare I say Linux was FTL.

*backs off as Ubuntu partition glares* I sowwee! ;-;

*hits Windows wireless driver, sighing*

Devking - July 23, 2007 06:22 PM (GMT)
Again, "FIX THAT WIRELESS-NESS!!!!"

Sorry about that.

----------After Devking recovers from going mad----------

Apple. Is good for its looks and whatnot, but the design and how they run simply isn't usable in the "working" industry.

Microsoft. Ugly and feels crunchy, but it works. Most of the time.

Linux is just to be used because you feel like it. I don't really think most of us "feel like it", though.

And that look goes for all Microsoft and Apple products.

KatanokiChaos - July 24, 2007 12:20 AM (GMT)
Apple is very usable in the working industry, though. It just depends on how good your people are with computers. If they're complete newbies, go with apple so they can't screw anything up too bad. And apple's great if you're having too many security problem with windows.

Don't get me wrong, I love Windows, but it blows when it comes to security.

Devking - July 24, 2007 02:46 AM (GMT)
Well, Apple is a bit more confusing to use than Windows, so I wouldn't outright recommend a newbie to use Apple. And whenever we use Apple in this discussion, we are talking about Macs/any of that sort.

Sure, Apple has the good virus protection, and it won't get screwed over so easily, but with Vista out, people are starting to find ways to mess with Apple, seeing that Vista is everything that Windows needed, which was very little.

I have no idea what I just said. But, okay. Note that I really have no idea what I just said.

Anachronist - July 25, 2007 12:45 AM (GMT)
I don't mean to be rude, and this is really interesting, but what does any of this have to do with the topic?

Devking - July 25, 2007 12:47 AM (GMT)
That's what I was wondering. But let's be bums and continue with the massive Apple v Microsoft. >.>

-I deserve a slap and giraffe pudding.

Anachronist - July 25, 2007 12:52 AM (GMT)
*SLAP*
Your giraffe pudding shall arrive in a fortnight.

Devking - July 25, 2007 12:57 AM (GMT)
Awww. A fort night? How am I supposed to find a fort in California and spend a night there? Geez...

((Yes, I know two weeks is a fortnight.))

-> Do you count business days?

Anachronist - July 25, 2007 12:58 AM (GMT)
Yes, and holidays.

Devking - July 25, 2007 01:01 AM (GMT)
That shouldn't be too long...

KatanokiChaos - July 25, 2007 03:08 AM (GMT)
Vista is teh fail. I'm a M$ fan, and Vista just... fails. The only time I'll ever get it is when they finally crack everything.

Devking - July 25, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)
No, I actually think Vista is quite good. Even though it still has it's problems, haven't all OS's had them every time they've come alive? Currently, Vista's not the most sure-fire way to go, but in time, it will prove to be worth it. Because once it settles in and Microsoft finally fixes all of its problems, it will actually be a OS to be reckoned with. Sure, now it looks off-coursed, but soon enough, those hackers will finally break into the Apple software, and the roles will be turned.

KatanokiChaos - July 27, 2007 09:37 PM (GMT)
... Vista was already hacked...

... Like...

... Before it came out...

Anachronist - July 30, 2007 03:20 AM (GMT)
Do I need to rent two BFG9000s to get you two on topic?

Oh, and Vista isn't that bad. It's like XP with a tune-up.

Chronos - July 30, 2007 06:39 PM (GMT)
