I'm kind of interested in this RPG and would like to know, would a kind of anthropromorphic(sp? and not even sure if right word) griffon-like character be allowed. If you don't know what I mean, has all the features of a griffon except can stand upright like a human, and has hands instead of talons on upper body, but still has talons for feet.

If it has a beak you might be in trouble...

Anthropomorphic characters are acceptable, as I understand it, but while your character would be, very likely, an Initiate there are certainly plenty of Uninitiates around here.

Such features as wings can be hidden, as can ears. Odd eyes can be attributed to contacts and tails can (depending on length) be tucked into pants (at the comfort risk of the character).

However, such features as a beak, and potentially feet will be considerably more difficult.

A beak is, presumably, stuck right in the middle of the face. Talons for feet will make finding shoes hard. I suppose boots might work, but once more, it's at an understood comfort risk. Both of these could be placed on your character, but it might be inclined to avoid all contact. Uninitiates have a bad habit of shooting humanoids with beaks, and the EGO might be a little irked.

It is suggested of you to keep this in mind when you make your character. As long as it, otherwise, meets the requirements and standards of Once, I cannot see why it wouldn't be allowed.

ok, thank you for answering my question... I'll probably make a char like this mainly as trial. I play EverQuest so I probably won't be hanging around the forums too much at first. I think I have a few ways to make this character interesting though, and I think I have a way to hide the beak, though slightly lame. I'll probably have him wear one of those stupid air filter face masks, whatever they are... those ones that are think as paper and are used to prevent people from breathing in saw dust and such. Sure, might make people look at him oddly, but would hardly cause someone to suddenly pull out a shotgun and shoot him in the gut.
