Viv's apartment was in it's usual state, which is obsessively orderly. Still things are off enough that her brother was definitely alarmed when she let him inside grudgingly. "What do you want now?" She asked him in an anoyed way.

He sighed. He figured six months between visits would be a long enough cooling off period for her, and maybe under ordinary circumstances it would be. Today however isn't an ordinary day by the looks of the appartment. Gattling has interupted her. The makings of a ritual are laid out, by the looks of things, Gattling would have to guess a summoning ritual.

"Good heavens, tell me I didn't interupt?" he said looking around. His curiosity about his younger step-sibbling's activities are now peaked.

"Not yet, now tell me what you want so I can get rid of you." Vivienne blurted very impatiently.

"I wondered how you were. You don't return my calls, or even anwer them. I'm not allowed to worry about you? I think I should, obviously today you're even more imbalanced than usual." He said. To state the obvious Gattling has a talent for rubbing Vivienne the wrong way whenever they meet.

"Imbalance huh? This coming from you is hilarious." she said. It should be equally obvious that Vivienne would never miss an oportunity to needle her sibbling, but then she's caustic and abrupt with most unless they happen to be customers. "You've checked on me. I'm fine. Now go away." she told him while inspecting a dagger.

"What are you, er, going to call on?" He asked, nervously. He's never known his sister to summon anything. She's always appreciated the dangers of such things as much as Gattling does.

"Do you really want to know, or do you want to pretend you didn't see this? If you leave now you'll worry less." she told him.

He frowned. "I really want to know. Sheesh, you've gone off your rocker you know." he told her.

"Mac." she said. Just the name nothing else.

Gattling visibly blanched. "Now I know you're completely out of your mind. Why in the hell would you want to summon your father? He's already possesed you, used you, abused us both, and you want to summon him? What if he over powers you, again? Or what if you get something else entirely. Neither of us is skilled in the summoning department." he pointed out.

"See, this is why I wasn't going to tell you. The rehash of the obvious is fruitless. I need to know he's really gone. I don't think he is. People keep disappearing on me, and I want to know specifics. I know if I get him here he'll gloat. Besides, I'm sure I can contain him. I've been studying his grimoires." she told her step-brother.

"Vivienne, this is a bad idea. All around bad, and you shouldn't do this alone." he said.

"Too bad. I am doing it alone. You have a family to think about. So don't even think about sticking around." she said.

"I wasn't about to suggest it." he told her. "Though you must no someone. Your boyfreind or someone else, you know, who um, isn't quite mundane....." he stammered. He really didn't want to stick around for whatever she conjured, though he did wish he could talk her out of this whole thing,

"He's gone. Just disappeared, so did my friend, my demon, and my vampires." she said unhappily.

Gattling's eyes grew wide. "Oh, quite a meangerie. I see why you might investigate." he said now creeping towards the door. She was running with vampires and demons, that didn't bode well for her metnal equalibrium at all. No wonder she'd been staying out of touch. He was increasingly uncomfortable about the diagram she was drawing on the tile floor with what he was pretty sure was blood.

"Gattling, get out. You can play act at being macho and protective sometime when I'm doing something that terrifies you less." she said not even looking up from what she was doing.

He could feel her begining to call up power in a slow deliberate murmuring. It wasn't any language he'd ever heard, but who knew what she might have picked up from a demon friend. "Yeah, I'll call you...." he said opening the door as he reached it.

She looked up long enough to nod.

"Love you." he said before shutting the door.

She snorted as it closed behind him. "Chickenshit." she mumbled after him. With power gathered, everything ready, and no more interuptions, she cast her spell......
