Title: Cocoa Mysteries.
Description: For Ran
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 12:47 AM (GMT)
It was evening. The house was quite quiet actually.
Annabelle was upstairs in Leone's room, considering it is safer than her own room. Goodness knows Cahan is less likely to waltz in Leone's room and destroy everything in sight, than he would be in Annabelle's room if he felt like it.
Leone was sitting in the living room, as he usually was at this time of day, sunglasses off, hair pushed back out of his face, reading. This was a very good book actually. One of the old mysteries. Not Sherlock Holmes, newer than that, this book is one of the ones you might see older ladies like your Grandma reading, with murder and romance and such. Very good author actually.
The lamp is giving him a soft glow, and he has a warm cup of cocoa beside him. He's dressed in comfortable girl jeans, tight and dark denim, he took off the belt a while back. For a shirt, he has a small, simple white shirt on, girl's tee of course, with 'Bebe' in silver letters running across it. No socks, but he has fluffy white slippers on.
He was content just reading his book. He liked quiet nights like these.
Ran - February 13, 2006 12:57 AM (GMT)
Well, it -was- silent. Enter Cahan stage left.
This man was -tall-, about 7'4" to be exact. He carried an intimidating demeanor, that with his height and piercing blue eyes- or maybe just his over all bastard-ish behavior. He made sure to stomp on toes and scare people, but there was one that seemed to always defy him:
Leone.
He toed off his shoes and dropped his coat on a rack, shutting the door behind him. Snow was slowly melting in his jet black hair which was casually tied back, the end swinging down his lower back. Moving around the corner, he tugged down his black, mandarin-collared dress shirts, "Still wearing women's clothing?"
He walked past and brushed off his pants, sitting down on the armchair directed just for him- seeing as it was large, "Where's the brat?"
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 01:07 AM (GMT)
"Still a dickhead?"
Smooth, velvet voice in reply. He doesn't even bother to look up at the other. His legs are crossed. He'd look so much better nude, it is the truth, but one can't deny that while odd, he still looks good. His slim hand reached over, picking up his cup of cocoa, sipping, then setting it down to turn the page.
"She's being quiet...watching the telly I believe..."
Turns another page.
This is a good book.
Ran - February 13, 2006 01:10 AM (GMT)
"My dickhead is more than you can handle."
For his comment, he reached over and picked up the cup, confiscating the liquid while his steps could be heard going upstairs. Perhaps he could batter around Annabelle for being such an annoying little girl.
What did Leone ever see in her?
He should have just left here there, but nooo. He brings here home and now she's a constant bother in Cahan's daily routine in life. He was trained to kill and not deal with frivolous things- like Annabelle. She needed to be eliminated.
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 01:15 AM (GMT)
Leone rolled his eyes and he was going to go back to reading. But no, Cahan had to take his drink, and then go upstairs. Could Leone help it if he felt a little fear for Annabelle's life?
Annabelle was able to hear Cahan coming up the steps though. She recognized his foot steps very easilly, and thus she had hidden herself in Leone's room, telly loud enough to cover any noises she might have made.
Leone had set his book down, walking quickly up the stairs after Cahan.
"Cahan? What are you doing? I want my cup back..."
Ran - February 13, 2006 01:20 AM (GMT)
"I'm drinking out of the cup." Though, actually, he hadn't taken a sip out.
Getting tot he door, he walked in and shut it behind him, setting the mug down with a clink. Slowly, he moved around the room, staring around, "Annabelle. I know you're in here and I won't leave 'til you show yourself." Thus, he sat down on the bed and changed the channel to some history program, half paying attention to it for the time being.
Poor Annabelle. He didn't even keep her station on.
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 01:24 AM (GMT)
Damn him, and the Wiggles were on too!
Annabelle scowled but made no noise, she was comfy where she was hiding, and she was not coming out anytime soon. Where was her prince? Ah! She heard Leone's footsteps and made a smile, getting excited. Her lovely Leone would surely save her!
Leone only opened the door, came it, kicking it shut behind him, and staring with his hands on his hips at Cahan.
"Cahan." Small frown. "Get out of my room."
Unlike others, he isn't afraid to command the other around.
Ran - February 13, 2006 01:27 AM (GMT)
"I'm watching the 'telly'." He commented back in his oh-so-bland tone.
Reaching over casually, he brought Leone's cup to his lips, taking a sip while keeping his gaze locked on him. "Very good." He settled back into Leone's sheets, "Wonder how many were on this bed. Have you washed your sheets lately?" He looked around the room, absent mindedly licking a little dribble of liquid off the side of the cup.
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 01:33 AM (GMT)
"Mhm."
Frown at the other. He was drinking his cocoa. Not nice. He shook his head and walked over to his bed, one knee resting on top of it. His arms were crossed, curls falling over his shoulders.
"So far since we've moved here, thirty-two persons, and of course I wash my sheets."
Another frown. It isn't like he's an unhygenic person.
Ran - February 13, 2006 01:37 AM (GMT)
"Just checking, that's all."
Cahan finished off his cup and set it aside before turning to lay on his side, facing towards the door so Annabelle can't make a sneaky escape. "Do you have any reason to be hovering around, Leone?" He looked up at him casually, raising an eyebrow.
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 01:42 AM (GMT)
"Mhm. I'm a very hygenic person Cahan."
Leone sat down, taking his cup and setting it on the bedside table. He then got on all fours, using one hand to straighten out his pillows were Annabelle had been sitting. His ass looked nice in those pants. He then turned and sat down, feet next to Cahan's head.
Sort of like 'you are below me'.
"Because this is my room."
Ran - February 13, 2006 01:45 AM (GMT)
"I'm taking it over." He leaned over ever so slightly and bit his ankle.
"You know my purpose and so does she. The faster she gets out of her hiding place, the faster I'll be out of here and life can continue." He smirked a little, "Well, our lives. Not her's." He stretched out his legs, easily falling off the edge, "So, coax her out and this will be a faster process, Servant."
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 01:49 AM (GMT)
"Oh, you think so, do you?"
His reply to his ankle being bitten was only pulling his foot up and away from the other. A small, somehow bemused smile on his face. Cahan was so full of himself. Annabelle happened to be terrified though, was Leone going to give away her hiding place? Only he knew where she always hid.
"No, I won't. And I am not your servant Cahan, nor are you my master."
Ran - February 13, 2006 01:52 AM (GMT)
"Yes, I think so."
He leaned forward and trailed his fingertips down Leone's cheek bone to the whole way down his neck, "And.." His voice dropped a few notches, "I believe I know a few ways to convince you too." His lips touched the other's softly, gently coaxing a kiss uncharacteristically of himself. Who knew he was capable of such kisses? Though, his behavior was still there- his eyes were still opened to slits, watching for movement.
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 01:58 AM (GMT)
Leone shivered, turning his face away from the other's, closing his eyes.
"Cahan, no, not even for that."
Boy, was he wrong. Cahan had him wrapped around his fingers during sex, and even Annabelle knew that, though she was so glad he was trying. And she was getting jealous. Cahan, the stupid head, was kissing her Leone! Her eyes narrowed, but she made no noise. Leone was also trying to make no noises, body squirming just slightly as he turns his back to Cahan.
Ran - February 13, 2006 01:59 AM (GMT)
"Leone.." He cooed in quiet, demanding tones, "Look at me."
He pulled out all stops. The secret weapon.
With his hand laying heavily on the other's shoulder, Cahan almost grimaced to do it.
He smiled.
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 02:03 AM (GMT)
Leone had taken a look back to snarl something at Cahan.
But he was unable to. He could only stare at Cahan.
How many times was he able to see Cahan smile?
Zero to none. And even though it didn't reach his eyes...
Gorgeous.
Annabelle was frozen. Oh no! Cahan, that meanie! Leone loves his smile! She licked her lips, nervous suddenly, stomach queesy, she knew Leone couldn't resist his smile.
Leone, in the mean time, was staring with his eyes wide and mouth open, but making no sounds.
He was hypnotized.
Ran - February 13, 2006 02:06 AM (GMT)
Now how long was this going to take? the muscles in Cahan's face started to ache. Like Leone had thought, this man never smiled. Well, unless he wanted something. He smirked and sneered, but never flat out smiled.
Gently, he used two fingers to push Leone's mouth shut, "So Leone, where is she?" He had no idea how long he could keep the smile much longer. If anyone had noticed the strain, it would have been seen in his free hand. It was punched up in a fist, his knuckles turning white. Smiling was just a pain.
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 02:13 AM (GMT)
Leone was staring, lovely brown eyes wide in his tan face.
"She...she is...in the..."
He heard her whimper. Not out loud, but in his mind. And that was enough to throw him out of his trance. In fact, he threw himself off the bed. Well, at least his upper half.
"Stop it, Cahan!"
He felt like he was about to cry, he loathed being used like that.
Annabelle, in the meantime, let out a silent breath of relief, proud of her prince. That was close!
Ran - February 13, 2006 02:16 AM (GMT)
Cahan dropped the smile immediately, fingers touching his lips, "Damn. So close."
Getting up, he patted Leone, beginning to look into things, "Your hint was good enough. Though, not what I expected." He sighed inaudiably. Foiled again by the brat. "You were lucky this time, Annabelle." Though, he was still hunting for her. "Maybe I'll make your death a little faster for that small victory."
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 02:23 AM (GMT)
Annabelle was shaking now, but Leone would not let Cahan find her. Nothing he was opening revealed her. Leone simply walked over to the door, opening it, and leaving it wide open, he peered out, as if looking to see if she got out.
Then, not shutting the door, he walked over to the bed, picking up the cup and looking with disdain at his food-covered pillows.
"Damn, got food on my pillows again."
He stacked them on top of eachother, shaking his head. They were nice pillows too. Large and silky. Tea cup in mouth, he wrapped his arms around the pillows, lifting them up easilly.
Then he ran out the door.
Lets play the guessing game! Where had she been? Leone was down the stairs, moving about, and Annabelle was giggling.
Oh dear.
Ran - February 13, 2006 02:26 AM (GMT)
Cahan assumed she was in the pillows. He growled but shook his head. Stupid girl. "Fine! Go fuck with her all you want." He moved over to the door and slammed it shut, laying himself down on Leone's bed, not caring that it wasn't even his bed.
Least the program on tv was interesting enough.
He unbuttoned his shirt and reclined back, watching the program before starting to flick channels. Mmnh. Nothing too interesting. He looked around the room here and there and eventually brought up one of Leone's books, flipping through the pages.
Maybe he'll have a Farenheit 451 moment.
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 02:29 AM (GMT)
Leone was glad to get her out of his room, so she was safe, and she was now in the backyard, playing on the swingset and eating cookies.
He tossed his pillows in the washer, and the cup into the washer. Now all he had to do was get Cahan out of his room...
He shook his head, walking up the stairs, opening the door, walking in his room, closing the door behind him and walking over to his bed, where Cahan lay.
"Cahan. You have your own telly in your own room...please get out..."
Ran - February 13, 2006 02:32 AM (GMT)
"No. My smile was a waste." He was bitter about that of course.
He turned his back to Leone, flipping some more pages. "Besides, I'm busy." He promptly began to ignore him, settling somewhere three-fourths of the way in the book. Well, sort of. He wasn't reading, but more thinking. The girl was so annoying. He HAD to eliminate her! Ship her off! ANYTHING!
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 11:41 AM (GMT)
"Cahan..."
The same warning voice he uses with Annabelle. Yes, both are children in his mind. And that really isn't far from the truth. He walks around the bed, to the side that Cahan is facing. He checked the book cover, it was an old one, it could get ruined, because that always happens in these situations.
"How many times have I told you? You can not kill, hurt, harm, send away, cripple, emotionally scar, Annabelle?"
Hand extended and he plucked the book out of the other's hands. Or at least tried to.
"Get out Cahan..."
Ran - February 13, 2006 11:47 AM (GMT)
Cahan growled, but otherwise, let Leone take the book, "You say I can't, but I will."
Thus, he flipped on his other side to Leone, "And I don't want to get out, so I won't." He crossed his arms, much like a child, refusing to move. It was a comfy bed, plus, Annabelle just vacated the room. It was a safe haven from the thing known as.. Annabelle.
Thinking to save himself, Cahan reached behind him and brought his body tail over, protectively holding the strands from possible damage.
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 11:51 AM (GMT)
Leone simply hit the other over the head with his book.
"Cahan, I have no times for your temper tantrums or sulking fits. Get. Out."
Firm voice, he tosses his book aside onto an extra stack of pillows, grumbling, crawls on the bed, grabbing the other's shoulder and pulling on him down.
"Ca-han!"
Ran - February 13, 2006 11:53 AM (GMT)
He used the force of Leone to pull himself around, "Oh?" He leaned to the side, his shirt falling a little more open, "And do you plan on using it all of the sudden? Thus being during the day." He raised an eyebrow, "Well, don't intend on moving any time soon. It's comfortable." And he flipped so that his back was once again towards the incubus.
Kaylee - February 13, 2006 08:35 PM (GMT)
Leone did manage to catch a glimpse of the other's lean chest, before looking back at him, still frowning.
"Actually, maybe I do, since my room happens to be - or used to be - the only place I could be alone."
He glared at the other.
"You have a bed just like it! Go lay on it!"
This time he doesn't just pulls the other again, but straddles his chest as well, grapsing the other's shirt in his hands and pulling up. A move for dominance.
"Cahan, I've asked you, I've told you, now I'll demand it...Get. Out. Of. My. Room. Now."
Ran - February 13, 2006 10:57 PM (GMT)
Cahan rose an eyebrow, "No." He didn't care if it was Leone's way of trying to dominate him. He simply started to de-tangle himself from Leone to reposition himself on the bed, "Why the sudden need to have me out? Usually you want me in."
Cahan smirked at Leone before returning his attention to the tv. "Annabelle may need your help."
Kaylee - February 14, 2006 12:56 AM (GMT)
Leone felt a twange of annoyance, that may have been true, but he doesn't want that rubbed in his face. But he raised himself then lowered down hard on the other, glaring and frowning as he pulled on the other's shirt.
"Don't give me that attitude young man."
He's obviously been dealing with Annabelle so much, that Cahan is officially a child - perhaps a teenager - to him.
"She doesn't, she is perfectly fine and capable, and mature enough to earn the right to be by herself."
And you aren't.
Ran - February 14, 2006 01:00 AM (GMT)
Cahan couldn't contain it. He laughed. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the laugh of a happy person. It's one when he finds someone so ridiculously wrong that he can't contain it. Shaking his head, he laid a large hand on his shoulder, "I dare say, I am not a child, Leone. I believe four hundred and eighty-eight earns me the title to be beyond a child."
Reaching forward, he tapped Leone's nose, "She is not capable and you know it."
Kaylee - February 14, 2006 01:13 AM (GMT)
Leone always found that laugh disturbing. It didn't help that he shook everytime he heard it, like he just did, leaning back slightly. He did not like that laugh. It was wrong and it was just so fake because laughs are supposed to be to express humor and joy...not unpleasureable emotions. It didn't help when the other set a huge hand on his small shoulder, it made it drop because of the weight.
He didn't like it when the other tapped his nose, making a sound of annoyance that was clearly expressed on his face.
"It would be easier for her if you weren't always trying to kill her."
Ran - February 14, 2006 01:16 AM (GMT)
Cahan merely rose an eyebrow but either way, he sat up and gently as was for Cahan, he started to settle Leone to the side, smirking at his expression, "Now you know as well as I do that will never happen. Personal vendettas against each other." Though, his eyes glinted, giving him a peculiarly perceptive stare, "Are you afraid of me?"
Bringing up a leg, he rested his forearm on top of his knee, "Answer me."
Kaylee - February 14, 2006 01:31 AM (GMT)
Leone frowned, grabbing the other's hands when the demon, wiggling slightly. The other could almost fit his hands completely around his narrow chest. He felt so small. Compared to quite a few of the population, yes, he was tall. Compared to Cahan, he was practically tiny.
"Why should I?"
He inched back slightly, shoulders hunched, looking at the other through hair that had fallen in his lovely face.
Ran - February 14, 2006 01:35 AM (GMT)
Cahan's shoulders fell in an uncharacteristic shrug, "I don't know why you would, but you seem to be. Why?" His hunched shoulders, the shuddering- many things although -he- is the one to defy him. It makes absolutely no sense.
His hands left Leone, now concentrating a deep stare at him, "Why is it that you are afraid?"
Kaylee - February 14, 2006 01:40 AM (GMT)
Leone simply glared at him, turning fist his face, and then his body. Snubbing him, perhaps. His arms are wrapped around himself.
"I'm not afraid."
Denial, is a state that we all live in.
Ran - February 14, 2006 01:41 AM (GMT)
"Liar."
His voice was hardened, convicting. "Your body states otherwise. Why do you fear me?" He leaned in closer, staring at him, "You can't hide the truth, Leone. It -will- come out."
Kaylee - February 14, 2006 01:51 AM (GMT)
Leone was refusing to look at him, perhaps shying back even more when the other leaned in on him, refusing to look at him in the eye. He was frowning though, eyes half-closed.
"I am not afraid."
Solid voice, though he was nearly trembling. Cahan really does scare him, and at times, the smallest, stupidest things remind him of why he is. Despite all that he does to try to convince everyone he is - like being defiant.
"I do not fear you."
He's stubborn.
Ran - February 14, 2006 01:56 AM (GMT)
Cahan growled, really growing impatient with the man, "You do and just spit it out! I know you are. Why?" He pressed on, even physically as his heavy hand weighed on the incubus. "The one person to defy me is one that fears me the most. That doesn't make sense."
His eyes narrowed, fingers clutching Leone's chin and bringing him under his gaze, "Why?"
