Title: Walking
Description: -Kay
Wysteria - February 10, 2006 11:36 PM (GMT)
Sam doesn't wander the city streets anymore. It's dangerous. She doesn't wander at night.
She would go mad if she didn't wander at all however.
Instead, she wanders the park, hither and thither across the land, rambling through brush and forest and all that.
She's wearing, as is usual, blue jeans and her cream coat, because it's chilly.
Kaylee - February 10, 2006 11:48 PM (GMT)
Silly girl.
There really isn't a safe place here.
Anywhere for that matter, not here in Bayfield.
Even during the day.
Alice is still sulky from the previous night, when his hair was lit and he didn't get any sex, and so he was a bit crankier.
He looks charming as usual, dressed in classy high end design clothes. Need I say any more? Yes? Hair let loose, flowing around him, sunlight creating a halo around his head. Snug turtleneck tanktop, fingerless, fishnet gloves that come up to his upper arm - connected to his shirt by buckles and straps. Tight, black leather pants that show off his long legs /very/ well. They are tucked into his heeled, silver buckled boots.
He's moody, thus, he is wearing black.
Watch out or he'll go emo on you.
Of course he sees everything on a night like this. So he sees that girl. What was her name? Did she ever tell him her name? Does he even care?
No.
He's smirking and walking to her, inaudibly, from behind, until he's right behind. Then, 'fwish!', he's grabbed her arms in that way that friend's do to surprise you.
"Didn't I tell you it is dangerous for a girl to walk around by herself?"
Same spine tingling voice. Remember him, Sam?
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 12:15 AM (GMT)
She freezes momentarily, then jerks away, turning to face him, expression at once blank and terrified.
Then it is only blank.
"You might have mentioned."
As with her expression, her tone is tightly controlled, hiding the fear deep beneath practiced defenses.
Smooth, Sam. Smooth.
Sam? This is you talking. You are an idiot. I hate you.
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 12:18 AM (GMT)
Alice nodded, smirking.
"Thought so."
He crossed arms, hair swishing.
He looks different under sunlight, less creepy eerie, more frighteningly real eerie.
That cheshire smirk doesn't help either.
"But you obviously didn't heed my advice, now did you?"
He tsked.
"Silly girl."
He snorted, mumbling something about fae and stupidity before eyeing her.
Like a cat wondering if it should immediately eat, or play, with its mouse captive.
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 12:20 AM (GMT)
"What do you want?" Flat. Blank.
Obviously she's silly. Obviously she's stupid.
It's a given.
What does he want from her?
Why doesn't he leave her alone? What does he hope to gain?
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 12:48 AM (GMT)
"What do I want?"
Alice sniffed disdainly, looking over her.
That smug, self-confident, condiscending look.
"I don't really know...I supose I can find out eventually..."
He looked up and down her.
What can he do?
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 12:50 AM (GMT)
Pause.
"You're getting predictable." She raises her eyebrows. "Why not just... run along and play?"
Child.
Boy.
Youth.
The fact that their relative ages are far in the opposite direction fails to matter to her at all.
He's a child, and he's being a naughty child.
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 12:52 AM (GMT)
Alice raised an eyebrow, frowning.
He was /not/ used to previous victims standing up to him.
He simply sneered, stepping forward.
"I think not."
He glared disdainfully.
She's not getting very fun.
And he is a cranky child, really, very young, essentially a baby in his race.
A strong, dangerous, snappy baby.
But a baby nonetheless.
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 01:15 AM (GMT)
"How about we go get something nice to eat? Do you like chocolate?"
Now that she's identified him as a child, automatic reflexes come into effect.
"My treat," she added enticingly.
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 01:19 AM (GMT)
Alice looked at her as if she just told him some horrid secret.
Because the expression on his face is seriously, quite horrified.
Then it turned angry.
How dare she say that!
He snarled.
"I'm not a child you stupid girl!"
Too bad that was exactly what he needed to say to make Sam's belief true.
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 01:21 AM (GMT)
She looked at him as a governess looks at an errand student, or a librarian at a rowdy little boy.
"There's no need to be sulky, dear. Would you like something or not?"
This she can do.
This is easy.
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 01:24 AM (GMT)
Alice could only look at her in disbelief.
His face was getting tinted just slightly red.
She's mocking him! The bitch!
The corner of his mouth was twitching, lips in a frowning sneer.
This wasn't funny.
Hands clenched.
He's been struck into angry dumbness.
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 01:26 AM (GMT)
She pats his hand, and adds with a smile, "Really, it's no trouble, I know this lovely little place. You'll like it."
She turns, and tosses over her shoulder, "You are coming, aren't you?" She'll be Disappointed In Him if he doesn't come.
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 01:32 AM (GMT)
Alice's face was twisted in disgust, yanking his hand away when she patted it.
He's dumbfounded, there is no other way to put it.
What. The. Fuck.
Pardon his language.
He's only staring at her in bewildered anger, mouth open and snarling quietly.
Do you really think he's going to follow her?
She'd have to drag him like an unwilling toddler.
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 01:35 AM (GMT)
She pauses, looking back over her shoulder. "Come on, you'll like it. I promise." She offers him a trademarked Encouraging Smile.
"It's such a little walk. No trouble at all."
You're a big boy, a little walk's nothing.
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 01:37 AM (GMT)
He takes one step forward, then falters, almost tripping over himself.
What the hell?!
He can't believe he almost followed her.
He shook his head, taking a step back once again.
"No."
Another shake of the head.
This girl is insane.
He is /not/ going with her.
Temper tantrum aura arounf him.
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 01:45 AM (GMT)
Sigh.
"Do I have to get it and bring it back for you? That means you'll have to decide what you want here, you know. Are you sure you wouldn't rather just come and look at the choices?"
She's being Encouraging again.
"You're being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn, dear."
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 01:47 AM (GMT)
Her attitude is beginning to scare him.
Just like those women.
He stumbled back then, almost shaking.
It looks like he paled several shades, a feat even for him.
"No!"
He's almost panicked looking.
"Leave. Me. Alone."
She's scaring him.
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 01:51 AM (GMT)
"Shh, I'm not going to hurt you. Really I'm not. It's okay. I just thought you might like some ice cream, is all. Or maybe something hot, given the weather. Do you like cocoa?"
She isn't moving any closer to him, just talking softly and reassuringly. It's okay, really. Really it's okay.
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 01:55 AM (GMT)
"No."
Alice swallowed thickly.
He was remembering exactly why he hated women.
He looked like he was about to cry, angry forming into its source.
Fear.
The reason he tormented so many females.
He was afraid of them.
A shake of the head and another step back.
"Stay away from me."
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 01:57 AM (GMT)
"Shh, I'm not. I'm not. It's okay, really. Really it is."
She doesn't like upsetting people. It upsets her.
She hates upsetting children.
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 02:02 AM (GMT)
"No you aren't!"
He's really panicked.
If she even moved he's going to freak.
He's almost tripping over himself right now, stumbling backwards.
It's almost sad.
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 02:07 AM (GMT)
"I know. I know. Shh. Calm down. It's okay, okay? I'm all the way over here."
She just wants him to feel better.
She didn't mean to upset him in the first place.
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 02:09 AM (GMT)
Alice has officially fallen over himself.
Isn't it odd?
To see the normally proud, self-confident, jackass, quivering and whimpering on the ground?
He's truly terrified.
Really underneath it all, he isn't afraid of Sam, but her attitude.
It's how /they/ were.
He shuddered, feeling sick.
He needed to get away.
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 02:11 AM (GMT)
She sits down, leaning against a tree, making herself less threatening (hopefully).
She doesn't say anything further, because soothing words aren't working. Maybe a soothing silence will help?
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 02:16 AM (GMT)
His breathing is quite rapid.
He is eyeing her mistrustfully.
He doesn't trust her.
She broke his trust, turning out to be like /them/.
Scooch back a few more inches.
He looks like he is seriously about to cry.
How long till he does?
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
She broke his trust?
She broke his trust.
Wow.
That's messed up.
She smiles hesitantly, encouraging him to be happy.
Please? Happy? Please?
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 02:25 AM (GMT)
Isn't it?
Smile?
His eyes only widen more, and if possible, begin to moisten.
Women scare him.
He scooches back more, a look of pure terror on his face.
Don't smile at me.
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 02:27 AM (GMT)
She sighs, and looks away. Not down, no.
Up. At the sky.
Honestly, the boy's crazy. Please, heavens, give her patience.
Sigh.
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 02:35 AM (GMT)
Alice almost relaxes.
She isn't looking at him anymore.
Maybe he can sneak away now.
Where to hide?
He's looking at the trees, subtely scooching back.
Anxiety attack.
He wants Lucien.
Wysteria - February 11, 2006 02:37 AM (GMT)
She watches out of the corner of her eye, but she isn't going to force care on the lad.
Anyway, she has homework tonight, she doesn't have time to comfort him.
Sigh, though, because she hates to see children in pain.
Kaylee - February 11, 2006 02:43 AM (GMT)
Alice doesn't notice her looking at him.
He's slowly standing up, brushing himself up, then walking - tiptoeing - away.
To somewhere safe.
He needs to talk to Lucien.
Before he bursts into tears and collapses.
Soon.
