Violet sits on the steps outside the library, digging through her backpack to try and find some pages belonging to an essay due in a couple of days. She's constantly getting things done ahead of time, then forgetting and wondering if she's done them, or worrying that she's lost them. She stresses too much about things like that.

She's dressed plainly, as usual - a heavy sweater, scarf, jeans, sneakers. Not much to look at, unless you happen to be looking for her... and even then she's hard to spot.

"Why, hello, honey."

Jetta simply can't pass this up. It's not in her nature. She's very pregnant, and even she can't manage to hide it anymore, so she's making the best of it, and still fashionable, if not sexy.

"Did you know about Dave's new friend?"

The way she says friend implies that there ought to be a prefix to it.

"H'lo." She looks up from her backpack, and stops searching through it.

Oh, great. You again.
To Violet, Jetta is like a big mosquito that she just can't seem to get rid of.

"No." Frown. Not that it's any of her business who Dave's going out with, but didn't they break up because he was trying to keep her safe? So why would he be going out with some other girl? ... Boy-germ that (she tries to make herself believe) he is, she doesn't think he'd do that. "We broke up, in case you don't remember,... and I don't stalk him..."
Implying that Jetta does, of course.

"Oh, darling, can I help it if I'm visiting a friend whose window is across from dear old Dave's?"

She grins.

"You'll be pleased to know that he hasn't found another girl." Her smile is positively wicked. "I simply must find out if the dear with the curly hair is available to girls, too."

Violet stares for a moment, then looks back down at her backpack, snorting with laughter.

"Oh, come off it. You sure this is Dave you're talking about?" she asks, completely without malice, "I mean - Dave? No way. Not in a million years..."
Of course, if there's anything Violet's knows about Jetta, it's that she hasn't outright lied to her... not yet, anyway.
"Seriously. Why'd you think he'd be going out with - well - a guy?" she blinks up at Jetta, still smirking, and raises an eyebrow.

"Can you think of another reason for him to be hanging around with his hands all over another guy's bare chest?"

In Jetta's defense--I can't believe I said that--she didn't have the clearest view. However, she probably could have seen that Matteo was injured if she'd wanted to look carefully.

She was too amused to bother.

"Mmm... CPR?" Violet suggests, though she doesn't believe it herself.
She shrugs a shoulder, looking faintly puzzled, though stil amused.
"...I don't know. It's none of my business. If he's moved on, well, good for him,.. but..." she shook hear head, "Dave? With a guy? That's just... I can't even picture it. It makes no sense."

"I just saw it, honey, don't expect me to explain it." She grins and tilts her head to one side.

"Did you ever get him in bed, pet? He's not bad."

I have said it so many times it ceases to mean anything, but she is a bitch.

"None of your business."

The girl rolls her eyes. The nerve of Jetta,... making it sound like she'd been trying to get Dave in bed. Ha. That was probably the last thing on her mind (or at least second to last). Violet, unlike Jetta, is not a tramp.

I think tramp is actually the wrong word choice. It implies a lack of class. Perhaps she's more of a courtesan.

... nah, she's a tramp.

"Sure it is. I keep tabs on all my boys."

"Hmmm,...wherever do you find the time," Violet muses, zipping up her backpack and standing up. Her expression states that she's finished talking to Jetta.

'I keep tabs on all my boys'? Right.
Dave's not yours.
...
Not that he's mine either or anything!

But... still...

She grins.

"Have a nice day, honey. Let me know what you find out about Dave's boyfriend. I'm dying of curiosity."

And Jetta sails away.

Her work here is done.
