Title: Here's to the Night
Description: For Ran Ran. :3
Arcane Blood - November 17, 2005 01:10 AM (GMT)
Lucifer lay on the couch, with one leg hanging off the edge of it. Bomani wasn't home yet. He'd been lying there for hours after he staggered into the empty apartment, listening to the silence. It was too quiet without his roommate here. He missed him, and he missed him a lot.
At one point, Lucifer remembered getting up to cook something, though was cautious not to touch anything that might contain parts of lizards or the spit of camels.
He'd just got off the couch to rummage the cabinets and fridge again, walking with an unintentional sway and a bit of a stagger. He wasn't drunk. The muscles in his legs had been cut off in strips and repaired by unnatural matters. They were feeling a bit weak today and he'd left work early. He'd just started working again recently, and today he took off early.
His pants hung too low on his hips, and Lucifer did something he rarely did. He went commando, and his bony hips were displayed quite blatantly. It made him look weaker than he was.
He wore no shirt. His brown hair fell into his green eyes, and nearly hid one of his new piercings. He'd had the left side of his nose pierced and had his lip pierced in the right corner. He'd also has the right side of his neck tattooed, the name BOMANI displayed in big, bold black letters.
He pulled out items from the fridge he knew didn't contain weird things and pulled out a pan. He began to cook, and he cooked eggs. Liqufied chicken embryos, but at least he knew he was eating such a thing.
It was a rare sight to see, Lucifer actually cooking something.
He looked sadly back at the apartment door while he was cooking. He hoped Bomani liked eggs.
Ran - November 30, 2005 10:00 PM (GMT)
Bomani was in a -very- good mood. He was happy to have his German return into the safety of his home. For a long time, he feared for Lucifer's life. Long nights were spent awake, worrying over the brunette. And now, the Egyptian felt as if he had room to breathe. Lucifer was fine and was within (Bomani's opinion at least) mentally and emotionally.
Four o'clock rolled around and so did Bomani. Not expecting the German, tanned hands ripped off the white dress shirt he was required to wear, leaving himself in a white wife beater and black dress slacks. Carefully, he kicked off his shoes and walked out into the living room area, dropping his holster completed with gun onto a side table.
Sniff, sniff.
"Luc?" Even calling out his name was sometimes hard to decipher through Bomani's heavy Arabian accent. Well, at leas to those not used to him.
Quietly, he wandered into the kitchen, following the smell. It pleased him to know end to see Lucifer cooking. In truth, it made him happy enough to quirk his lips up and a true smile glimmer in his gold-hued eyes. "Eggs? No fried scorpians too?" He would normally eat that too, but he was teasing Lucifer. The German seemed to be wary of foods native to Bomani.
Slowly, fingers cold from the weather traced the new tattoo. The Egyptian had been fascinated with the marking ever since it appeared. He was absorbed in watching his fingers follow the path that he had completely forgotten if Lucifer was busy with the eggs.
Arcane Blood - November 30, 2005 11:41 PM (GMT)
The sadness seemed to dissipate from his green eyes as he heard his Egyptian roommate come into the apartment. He looked tired as he always did, but now he looked relieved. Maybe even happy?
"'M here," he answered when hs name was called, smiling at the familiar voice. He was actually fond of the way Bomani spoke, and didn't have much trouble understanding him.
He took out a spatula and threw in some ingredients into the eggs he considered safe.
"No, sorry. No fried scorpions." He gave a small grin, looking up at Bomani. He turned the heat down on the pan so it wouldn't burn. He'd cook them on that temperature for a few minutes now.
"You're cold, Liebling." It was concern for Bo, not for the fact he was touching his pale and surprisingly warm skin.
And should it be noted that Liebling means darling in German?
Ran - November 30, 2005 11:52 PM (GMT)
"It's cold outside. I still forget that I'm not in Egypt- even though it gets much colder at night than this." He was a desert rat through and through- during the day he expects it to be scorching hot and deathly cold at night.
"What are you making, Nadirah?" Or in other words, he was calling Luc precious or rare.
Not being aware of personal space, he loosely wound his arms around Lucifer's shoulder, his chest pressed up against his back as the egyptian surveyed the frying pan curiously. Of course he's eaten foods like that before, but it still amazes him at the same time. The ingredients were so.. weird.
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 12:01 AM (GMT)
"I can see. You don't want to put something warmer on?" he asked, tending to the food when Bomani wrapped his arms around his shoulder. He smiled a little more at the name. Nadirah.
"Normal food. Eggs with seasoning and meat and things. Do you want me to make you something else? I wouldn't mind."
Lucifer was happy that Bo was so close, watching him cook food. It was easier to forget with him around. It was easier to simply live.
Ran - December 1, 2005 12:06 AM (GMT)
He shook his head, still watching the food as if it'd suddenly jump up and dance, "I'm warm right here. The stove is warm and so are you." Thus his hands stuck out a little as if warming them on a fire.
"Mm, nope, I'll eat what you cook. I can do fine with your odd foods." Eggs? Odd. Sugared Scorpians? Normal!
Tonight, he seemed awfully distracted in an ADD manner. He went up on his toes, looking straight down at Lucifer's pants. Curiousity got the better of him as a hand crept down, trying to peel the clothing from skin to peek. Was there any kind of undergarment on?
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 12:30 AM (GMT)
"If you say so." Luc didn't want him to move anyway, and it was easy enough to manuever even with him there.
"Odd foods," he repeated with a chuckle, shaking his head slightly. "You never cease to amuse me. Do you want toast?"
He didn't seem to mind Bo peeling his pants away from his skin. In fact, he acknowledged it and even laughed a little once more. So different from the man who wouldn't even let Bomani watch him get unchanged so he could get into the shower.
"What're you doing?" He asked curiously.
Ran - December 1, 2005 12:33 AM (GMT)
"What's.." He trailed off, testing the word he's forgotten on his tongue, "toast again?"
Instead of going on his usual tangent when he forgets the meanings of words, he slid down Lucifer's back, leaning over his side. Now, this may look odd, but it worked for Bomani. With his nose nearly touching the rim of his pants, he indeed confirmed an answer with a low hum, "No underclothing, Maysun."
Note: Maysun - of beautiful face and body
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 12:55 AM (GMT)
"Toast. Cooked bread. With butter."
"Mm? Poking your nose where it doesn't belong, Schatz? Verführung?" He was just teasing, as could be heard in his tone of voice.
"I don't think that's fair. 'M cooking."
He turned the heat off and finished cooking.
(Schatz= treasure. Verführung= seduction.)
Ran - December 1, 2005 01:00 AM (GMT)
"Oh. Yes please on the toast."
He looked up suddenly from his pants to look up at Lucifer. His mouth was drawn in a tight line, but the tiniest of dimples were fighting their way to be shown and he could never clear the smile from his eyes, "What are those words?" They were so close to admitting feelings they knew were there, but the languages were just too crazy. He attempted to pronounce the words, but it came out more like, "Chach" and "vafooring".
Giving up on pronunciation, he teased Lucifer by tugging on a belt loop, "It's not fair to wear under clothing when you are cooking?"
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 07:01 PM (GMT)
"Mmkay. But you might have to let go of me first, you know." The words came through his German accent, sounding soft. Though the smile had disappeared from his lips, it lingered in his voice. He sounded like he wanted to laugh. Bomani was bastardizing his language and he found it highly amusing.
"Schatz, Liebling," he corrected, but he knew Bomani wouldn't be able to pronounce it even when it was repeated. And he didn't know what it meant, anyway.
He couldn't help but grin. He looked down at Bomani.
"No, no. It is no fair to practice die Kunst der Verführung while I'm cooking."
Forever the words would be lost in translation.
(die Kunst der Verführung= the art of seduction.)
Ran - December 1, 2005 09:11 PM (GMT)
Bomani stared blankly long and hard at Lucifer before suddenly cracking out in, "Die.. Choonst.. deh.. Vafeeling..?" Honestly, now what did that mean? His lips formed into a petulant pout when he gave up trying to decipher the words. He hardly understood English, let alone German.
Finally, he let go of Lucifer, his now warm fingers brushing over his hips before he moved to sit on the countertop, watching him curiously, "Your language is difficult."
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 09:17 PM (GMT)
Lucifer glanced up at Bomani, who now sat on the countertop, and allowed himself a tiny smile. "So is yours."
He reached into a drawer and fetched some bread, quickly tossing it into th toaster and... well, toasting it.
"Neither of us understand each other, but the words you speak sound...nett. Nice... that is."
He walked to a cupboard and opened it, pulling out two plates.
"You still want eggs?"
Ran - December 1, 2005 09:22 PM (GMT)
He grinned just a little, "I'm glad that you think so. Arabian is the onyl language I understand perfectly." He muttered, looking quite cross, "English is horrible."
Hopping off the counter top, he nodded, now trailing Lucifer around, "Yes, please. Your food is odd, but good." Reaching out, his hand grazed the tattoo which he was still curiously attracted to.
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 09:26 PM (GMT)
"I could've guessed." He smirked, teasing him. "And I'd have to agree with you on that."
He grabbed the spatula and served the food equally on two plates. The toaster made a sound, and Lucifer reached for the two pieces of bread that were now toasted.
He put one pice on each plate, then stopped. He looked up at Bomani, just a little curiously.
"What're you doing?" He knew what he was doing with his fingers, but he moreso wondered why he was doing it.
Ran - December 1, 2005 09:33 PM (GMT)
He didn't pay much mind to the food being served but he was still absorbed in the marking. He took a few steps, edging closer to it until he could get no closer. "I like it.." Leaning down, he palced his lips over the spot with a simple kiss.
One could guess Bomani was fascinated.
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 10:00 PM (GMT)
He glanced toward Bomani again, watching him take several steps forward. He was vaguely surprised, but not displeased.
"Thanks... I... like it too."
Only, instead of saying 'it', the word 'you' slipped through his lips to replace it.
Oops.
Ran - December 1, 2005 10:05 PM (GMT)
His lips curled into a smile against his neck as his arms boldly wrapped around him. "You're not alone, Nadirah." His fingers ran up and down his spine as he considered his options briefly, "I was just waiting for you to be comfortable with my feelings." Lucifer has always been skiddish so Bomani was patient.
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 10:18 PM (GMT)
"I..." A sort of blush made its way to his pale cheeks, and he managed to smile just a little. It wasn't that he was embarrassed or something like that, it was simply the fact that he didn't expect to hear those words in return. He felt a sense of warmness settle into him, and he turned ever so slightly, wrapping his arms around Bomani in turn. His fingers felt nice on his spine, and he sighed.
"Oh, Bo... Ich liebe dich."
He placed his head against Bomani's chest.
"I think I've loved you for a long time..." he said quietly, softly.
Ran - December 1, 2005 10:27 PM (GMT)
"A long time? That's what brought this tattoo along?" Again, he couldn't help but to lavish attention on that tattoo once again. It was addicting- the egyptian would admit that fact willingly. "I'm happy to hear your feelings." He was passionate from the very beginning- lurve at first sight.
"The odd food is getting cold." Leave it to him to create and ruin a beautiful moment.
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 10:34 PM (GMT)
"You could say that," his voice was still soft, though more audible now. He sighed again, pulling away ever so slightly, but with a small smile. He didn't consider the moment ruined. He was relieved. His smile widened a small amount, and he nodded.
"Where do you want to eat?"
Ran - December 1, 2005 10:45 PM (GMT)
Bomani moved away to grab the plates, being oh-so-handy, "Out in the living room. More comfortable." The kitchen was nice, but how could one resist the comfy couch?
Leaning over, he pecked a kiss on his cheek, "Is that alright with you, Commando?" He tried to make a joke- as if he was speaking to the 'commander' yet Lucifer was 'commando'.
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 10:51 PM (GMT)
He laughed softly. "Yes, that's okay with me."
He pulled out another drawer and grabbed a butter knife. He grabbed an opened stick of butter on the counter and held it in one hand.
"Shall we go, then?" He spoke in a funny, differently accented way, pretending to be some sort of English man or something.
Ran - December 1, 2005 10:56 PM (GMT)
Bomani crinkled his nose up at the accent, "I hope your teeth don't go suddenly bad." A misconception against the English, but it was one deep rooted within Bomani.
Instead of the couch, the Egpytian plopped down on the floor in front of it, setting the plates on the coffee table, "Mm, question, do you not like underclothing?"
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 11:01 PM (GMT)
An amusing misconception, nonetheless. A smile lingered on Lucifer's lips and then disappeared as he made his way to the living room.
Then he shrugged. "Mm. It's more comfortable without it." He set the butterknife and the butter down on the coffee table, raising an eyebrow. "I thought you didn't like when people sat on the floor?" He was obviously teasing, though.
Ran - December 1, 2005 11:04 PM (GMT)
"Oh? I don't?" He smirked a little, watching Lucifer. Wherever he sat, floor or couch, he had a perfect come back. Until then, he ran his fork along the edge of his plate, thinking.
"More comfortable?" Without another word, he walked into the bathroom with a click of the door shutting.
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
"Yeah," Lucifer said as he sat down on the floor near Bomani, remembering when he had gotten frazzled over the fact that Lucifer was standing up, and when was asked to sit down, sat on the floor. He almost laughed.
The he looked over at Bo, his eyebrow raising again. He cocked his head, curious, as he just up and left. He didn't even have the chance to ask him where he was going or why.
Ran - December 1, 2005 11:11 PM (GMT)
He returned fairly soon after he had just walked in, appearing normal. He took his seat beside Lucifer, grinning at him, "I know something that I do like." He teased Lucifer by tugging on a belt loop of his.
"No underclothing."
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 11:22 PM (GMT)
Lucifer stuck his fork in the eggs, pondering what it was Bomani was doing. Then he looked back and watched him come back. When he explained, Lucifer understood. He grinned. "More comfortable?"
He leaned over on Bomani a little, pulling his pants away from his skin ever so slightly.
"But," he pouted a little, "you still have your shirt on."
Ran - December 1, 2005 11:27 PM (GMT)
He lifted the toast up, taking a bite out of it, "I am."
Ever so casual, he rolled his shoulders in a shrug, but he was smirking like the chesire cat behind that piece of toast, "Would you prefer it on or off?" Curiousity got the better of him, "Can you see anything when you tug my pants?"
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 11:40 PM (GMT)
"Off," he said gently in a sort of childish tone.
Then he just smirked.
"What's not there to see?"
It wasn't that size mattered, it was just, well...
size mattered.
And Lucifer wanted to see how big Bomani's ego could get.
He leaned his head on his shoulder, placing a fork full of his "odd food" in his mouth.
Ran - December 1, 2005 11:51 PM (GMT)
Bomani's eyebrows went up and up, "What is there not to see?" His question would have been easier to answer if it was 'what is there to see'. But alas, Bomani had to think, "There is.." Oh! It came to him. He licked his toast happily, "You can't see what's inside. A hidden package."
Arcane Blood - December 1, 2005 11:57 PM (GMT)
"Aww," he let out a little whine, pouting some more. "Why not? That's... mean."
He looked up at Bomani with his head on his shoulder, still pouting.
Ran - December 2, 2005 12:00 AM (GMT)
He grinned, leaning down to peck a quick kiss on Lucifer's lips, "It's not mean. It's just that I haven't unwrapped my present yet. It's unfair to leave presents still neatly wrapped up." Thus he ran his hand over the front of Lucifer's jeans.
Arcane Blood - December 2, 2005 12:12 AM (GMT)
The right side of his lip lifted ever so slightly. "But you haven't even finished eating yet, Liebling. Don't you want to wait?" He was sort of teasing him, perhaps suggesting he eat to make him wait on purpose.
Ran - December 2, 2005 12:17 AM (GMT)
His grin widened, "Good idea, I should eat right now."
It wasn't his food he was eating. It was Lucifer- in a sense. The Egyptian nipped at his name scrawled on the German's neck, "Delicious, my camel." Ooh, what a yummy meal <3.
Arcane Blood - December 2, 2005 12:32 AM (GMT)
Lucifer let his fork drop on his plate, the side of his neck that was tattooed very exposed.
"Do I taste good?"
He laughed softly, a melodious sound, like ringing church bells.
He was amused.
Ran - December 2, 2005 12:39 AM (GMT)
"Better than fried lizard tails and scorpians put together." Which was a very good thing indeed.
Then, as suddenly as it had started, he pulled away, picking up the fork Lucifer had in his mouth and licked the prongs very carefully, "Your odd food tastes good as well, don't you think so?" Not to mention Bomani was licking the fork rather suggestively.
Arcane Blood - December 2, 2005 12:53 AM (GMT)
"Mm. I guess that's a good thing, hm?" He blinked, looking up at Bomani, staring. His roommate did the weirdest things.
"Perhaps it does." Lucifer tilted his head a little at the suggestiveness of Bomani's actions, and then suddenly just crawled into his lap, looking up at him like some sort of cute animal.
"You don't have to finish if you don't want."
Ran - December 2, 2005 12:59 AM (GMT)
Settling down the fork, Bomani leaned forward and kissed Lucifer, "I won't finish the actual food." His arms came around lay loosely around the German's waist, but suddenly, he couldn't. He laid his head against his shoulder, a deep rumble in his chest resembling laughter, "You look too.." He looked for the word, mumbling through a few, "Innocent to devour."
