1) Thread Skipping. Is that done here? Where you might meet someone at the beach, then decide to go the coffee place for a cup o' joe? Or what would be done instead?

2) My character recently (or so i am saying) moved to the city this whole board is about, yet she would need a substantial job and maybe even go to the college.

But is that ok if i just insert my character as having a job or being in classes at the college? I was going to start off like this, going to work on the first day, or going to class, but i really had to check first, so i didn't anger the people here whom i hope to soon become roleplay buddies with.

Okay.

1) Once has a fluid timeline. That is, you can be in a number of threads at once, with each thread presumably occuring at a different time IC. So go ahead and have your character at the back and at the coffee shop and anywhere else, as long as you and your partners can keep it straight.

2) Insert away. Most places on Once are run by NPCs, and as such you can just say 'my character has been going to university for a couple months and works at Greasy joe's in the west end' or whatever.
