I had thought a Poltergeist was a solid ghost that refused to be dead, come to find upon researching them as a character idea, I find I’m wrong. “It is widely believed to be an invisible ghost that interacts with others by moving and influencing inanimate objects.”

Can someone help me. I’m looking for some sort of creature, much like a ghost/zombie. Something that would be dead but is still solid and has free will.

Any ideas?

Vampire (*cough* overdone *cough*)

Zombie (of some sort. I'm familiar with this one myself).

Ghoul/Ghast (like a zombie, but can paralyze people 'n stuff).

Mummy (kinda lame, I know, but if you did it right it could be interesting).

Oh, also an idea, in a lot of mythologies ghosts have the power to possess people and control them. That's an interesting way of both giving your character a body and giving you a way to keep it fresh. It could change bodies like we change underwear.


...Most of us, anyways.

And, yeah, me not being an admin here, I'm not exactly sure how useable those suggestions are. If you want to use one, make sure to run it by an admin, yeah?
