Title: Up In Flames
Description: Ker

LURKAGE! - October 5, 2005 07:33 PM (GMT)
The fire consumed the building like a matchstick, it was simply that flammable. And if it was that flammable, then it deserved to have gone up in flames. And if mortals were stupid enough to live in something so very flammable, then they deserved to be in the building while it went up in flames only too fast for the firefighters to get them out.

At least, in Kristjan’s opinion. Mind you, some may not agree readily to her theories. The Angle stood nearby, hidden in the crowd so neatly that she would be undetectable as an angel. Her wings have been folded gently away into her back, however painful it was to press them within her. She’s scouting. That demon had set her a perfect hunting ground. He had started the fire, and granted it was lovely handiwork, and he was a lovely creature though just a little too old for her taste. And granted he’d not set the fire for her, no doubt he sensed her, as weak as she may be, and obviously she’d sensed him, so strong, but he’d set the fire for his own benefit. It caused chaos, and that was what the demon of chaos lived for. In the process, he’d provided the perfect hunting ground. Fires attracted crowds, death attracted people.

And People attracted Kristjan. She wanted someone, she’s not played since he had that blood mage, and how frustrating that had started out. Not fun. Not fun at all.

Kristjan was dressed in casual mortal wear. A pair of light blue jeans, a pyramid belt of two rows, and a dark green tee-shirt. Her long auburn curls are spilled down her back from a banana clip. Even casual, she’s the very essence of beauty.

And people attracted Cecily. She was ever trying to puzzle them out. She moved through the fringes of the crowd. She had felt something old and powerful, but since it had left, she had made her way here to observe. An unparalleled opportunity to study people such as this should not be passed up with out good reason.

She could feel something, someone else too. She wasn't sure what it was younger than her, she felt, but like most everything else she had no doubts whatever else was here had a lot more wordly knowledge than she did.

She continued her observations but remained poised for caution. She moved through the people dressed in a long flowing broomstick pleated skirt and a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood up. It helped when people didn't notice her unusual eyes she'd found. The hood left them mostly in shadow. Her walking shoes were almost soundless on the pavement as she took in the reactions of people, broken, terrified, shocked, while she recognized the emotions she was seeing she felt none of it, not even sympathy. Once she would have, she still had not figured out what exactly had caused her inability to feel, what had caused the gradual fading of emotion from her. She's only had faint sparks and fleeting glimmers of feeling since returning to the world.

There were many things that she wanted to understand yet.

The Ultimate Lurker - October 6, 2005 04:50 AM (GMT)
She felt another, just as she'd sensed the demon of chaos near. Was it right? For three powerful beings (powerful on three different levels even) to be in one location, so very close to eachother?

She touched the source with her senses and went after it, like a stalking cat. She knows she can't take on the demon, let alone this other. But it would be an interesting confrontation, she was sure of this. She moved, weaving through the crowd, pushing people strongly from her path, other's simply parted before her, moving in a straight line, a fast line, towards the target.

K-Squared - October 6, 2005 04:59 AM (GMT)
Cecily had paused to watch a man die. She hadn't touched him, just happened to be at the right place at the right time, and so she'd seen the spark go out in his eyes and watched his last breath. She was muddling it over when she realized that she could feel herself being stalked.

She was about to resume moving when she realized she had nowhere to go, debris blocked all her ways out, except for the way her stalked was coming from. She doesn't understand fear intimately though. So she simply resigned herself to moving towards the other presence.

The Ultimate Lurker - October 6, 2005 02:16 PM (GMT)
Stalked might not be it. Stalking happens over a lengthy time, hours or days or years. What Kristjan does is more like target. Hunt. Like a predator, she goes after what she wants instantly, waiting no time in the middle to fool around or let her ‘prey’ put distance. She smiled faintly at the feeling of the source moving towards her.

And then she emerged through the crowd, her black and silver eyes scanning and almost instantly landing on the smaller angel. She stopped moving. That little thing was stronger then she? Or at the very least, older.

K-Squared - October 6, 2005 02:48 PM (GMT)
The older angel is indeed powerful, as most celestials are, but at the same time her powers are limited.

Violet lightening colored eyes peered out from under her hood. This was curious as anything else she'd seen lately. "Looking for something?" she asked in that neutral detached voice of hers. The other angel's beauty does not seem to affect her either.

The Ultimate Lurker - October 6, 2005 02:57 PM (GMT)
"Not anymore," she replied. Cecil has as little effect on Kristjan as Kristjan has on Cecil I'm afraid. She moved forward boldly and was curious if the angel would actually move with her when she put a hand on her shoulder and began to walk, ready to direct Cecil like a mother to child. She had turned in the direction that would lead them from the crowd of stunned mortals the quickest.

K-Squared - October 6, 2005 03:12 PM (GMT)
Cecily doesn't resist, she may decide to study reactions when she does at a later time though. She observes the people as they move, and notes their reactions to one thing or another in her mind. The only real common factor Cecily has with a child is infinite curiosity and a never ending stream of questions. Though her questions are not always child like. "What is your intention?' she asks still coolly neutral.

The Ultimate Lurker - October 6, 2005 03:23 PM (GMT)
Not child-like at all. Kristjan was pleased to lead Cecil from the crowd and emerge onto a bare street. Everyone from this section of town had run like ants to the ant farm to watch the fire. She looked down and sideways at Cecil.

"I've not decided yet. Why are you so calm?" Kristjan, unlike Cecil, still could be called a child. She's only in her fifties after all, and for an angel, that is only a handful of years.

K-Squared - October 6, 2005 03:31 PM (GMT)
"Calm is not the correct word, it is detachement." She answers. She doesn't lie, it too is a concept beyond her, why would she? She can think of no logical reason.

She stood on the baren street with the other. There was noone to observe here but the other angel. So that is what she observed. She didn't often have encounters with other such creatures.

The Ultimate Lurker - October 6, 2005 03:41 PM (GMT)
"Then tell me why your detatched." She kept moving. Towards the direction known as the Hellmen's conservation area. Vivienne should remember that place.

(wow crappy)

K-Squared - October 6, 2005 03:48 PM (GMT)
(nah it happens)

"That is something I do not comprehend. I do not care to speculate either." She said. She didn't have enough data for a theory at this time, she had yet to encounter any instances like her own. Cecily is aware they are moving to a remote area. She also remembers studying Logan. Still she is willing to see what happens here. A remote area does not instantly equate to something dreadful. Not that Cecily can grasp dread anyhow.

You've been Lurked - October 6, 2005 08:20 PM (GMT)
Where poeple...or beings...like Kristjan and Logan are concerned, secluded area's most definatly do mean dreadful things.

They've moved from the city now and Kristjan can see the tree line not far from them. It's suprised her a little that the other hasn't walked away, nor even asked where they were going. She looked down sideways. She was actually expecting the stronger angel to do to her what she does to others when she realizes what's happening. Not that it would bother Kristjan, she only dishes out what she can take.

"You don't comprehend detatchment, yet you know you are."

K-Squared - October 6, 2005 09:35 PM (GMT)
"I do not fully fathom it's cause, I understand the state I am in." She answered.

While that boy certainly had a taste for dreadful things somehow it was upsetting to know that the sort of things he did were done to others. Cecily doesn't much care what happens to her, she wants to experience things, though not death. While she doesn't fear death seh is in no ruch to embrace it. Thus why she now avoids that demon that wanted to kill her in "Dark".
