Title: He needs answers
Description: Ker

The Ultimate Lurker - September 28, 2005 06:16 PM (GMT)
Silas walked briskly, where the last time he’d been here in this yard, he’d been running away from it, stumbling with all the grace of a fish out of water. He'd borrowed a friend's car and driven out, parking a few hundred yards back away from the house. Since he’d ran away from here nearly eight days ago, he’s traded in the jumpsuit coveralls for a pair of dark blue slacks and a nice white button down shirt. His long white hair had been detangled and cleaned and he now wore it tied neatly back away from his face. He’d looked sick but good when he’d run away from the psychotic doctor, now he looked better, somehow charming and gentlemanly.

Before he had been frightened, now he was simply determined as he marched towards the house, wondering if he was going to run into that invisible barrier he’d run into last time he’d tried to approach the house. Since he’d left, he’d had a doctor, another lycanthrope, check him out and she’d said everything about him looked normal but she couldn’t say that he would or would not continue to live.

Since he’d left this building, he’d found his own headstone, he’d met (by pure chance) the woman that Pierce was now living with, Ylva Farkas. He’d convinced her not to tell Pierce about him, she’d agreed for a week, and then again for two more days. Tomorrow would be that deadline. He needed answers.

Oh yes, that gun that Kastler gave him in the basement...he’d used one bullet to put out the camera, the second bullet was still in the gun, it happened to be in his boot, the safety on. Just in case.

The barrier is up but it wouldn't keep callers from reaching the large house. A tingling shock would pass over anyone stepping through it though. It's set to alert the mage. Luckily he's home or the barrier would be as it was before. The windows in the living room are opened and music wafts out. Piano.

While he is aware he is about to be visited he does not falter in his playing. He expected this one to come back. He waits for the door bell.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 28, 2005 06:33 PM (GMT)
That's because this one is just stubborn.

He needs anwers and he's going to go in and fight for them if he has too. If he's going to die again, he needs to know. He hears the piano and, though it is his favorite instrament to play and to hear, he's momentarily disgusted for some unexplainable reason. He reaches the place where he starts to feel tingling and stops, steps back away from it.

It didn't just stop him like before. Just tingled. He frowned, then cautiously stepped forward again, endured the tingling, and continued. There was no door bell ring. Silas is stubborn enough to try the door handle on his own. He wonders again, does the mage have a spell put on the door? He'd walk right through if not.

K-Squared - September 28, 2005 06:36 PM (GMT)
There is a spell on the door, once touched it chimes gently. "Open." A voice commands and the door simply does. The mage continues his compostition marking notes on his sheet music. He does not turn around or act in any way like this unsettles him.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 28, 2005 06:48 PM (GMT)
Silas hesitated before putting his hand on the door. It chimed at him and then opened itself at the comand of a voice. He hesitated once more and his wolf within was urging him to run. Turn around and run away from this, what was so unnatural. His wolf didn't trust magic, much less then he himself trusted it. But unlike eight days ago, he has regained the control of his wolf and instead of running, he goes in.

Moving towards the music, slowly, silently, cautiously. He stops to stare at Kastler's back.

Kill him his wolf urged.

No. We need answers now.

K-Squared - September 28, 2005 06:59 PM (GMT)
"What is it you want?" the sickly looking man asked without turning from his work. "Nothing here will harm you unless you move to harm me Silas." the mage sys calmly and completely unruffled.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 28, 2005 07:08 PM (GMT)
He closed his eyes for a moment, shaking away the feeling of dread that came witht he crazy man saying his name. He'd known the man knew his name, but it's different to hear it used by someone he despises. And he does despise this man.

do you hear that. Now you may not harm him, or I will be hurt. That's a threat to the wolf.

"Am I going to die?" Straight in. He doesn't beat around the bush because he doesn't want to be here longer then he has to.

K-Squared - September 28, 2005 07:15 PM (GMT)
The mage turns and looks. "You are not dying from anything, why should you? I'm not going to kill you. You can still die, but you won't simply drop dead when the spell disapates, it already has. Though You are not impervious, if you wish to kill yourself again you'd die. If you were drowned you'd die, if you ate enough donuts and bacon to clog your arteries over the next fifteen years you'd die without a bypass.....You came all this way for that?" he asks. Not what he had expected, though he can't say what he had expected either.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 28, 2005 07:18 PM (GMT)
He didn't dignify the question with an answer. Of course he came to ask that, he didn't know anything about magic. He couldn't go to Pierce, and drop dead when the spell broke in the middle of playing with a five year old boy he loves like a child! Of course he needed to know!

"Who is in my grave?"

K-Squared - September 28, 2005 07:24 PM (GMT)
"Someone I needed to dispose of. No one you know. I didn't get his name." The mage answered. "What else do you want?"

The Ultimate Lurker - September 28, 2005 07:29 PM (GMT)
He was horrified. Take my name off of that headstone you bastard! But even to his enemies, Silas is too formal, too carful to say that outloud. Sometimes it was infuriating but it seemed they were both doing it. Those calm answers.

"Why me?" Ah the question that was bound to come up eventually, everyone asks it at some point.

K-Squared - September 28, 2005 07:42 PM (GMT)
"You were convenient, I work for the coronor sometimes." the mage answered. "I got to do your autopsie, obviously though I really didn't."

The Ultimate Lurker - September 28, 2005 07:46 PM (GMT)
"Why?"

Not why me this time. That question was answered now. Now his question was why. Why would you bother bringing someone back if you weren't even going to keep them or study them? Why would you bring someone who obviously wanted to be dead back?

"Why not someone who didn't want to die?"

K-Squared - September 28, 2005 07:50 PM (GMT)
"I planned on you winding up dead anyway. Sometimes shit happens." the arrogant prick answers honestly.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 28, 2005 08:00 PM (GMT)
"Then why did you give me money and clothing and food?" He sounded frustrated, confused, shocked? He was in case your wondering. "Why did you give me the means to escape? What happens if I go to an authority of some sort."

He wouldn't tell them a psycho mage had brought him back from the dead so he could turn werewolf and kill two men. No no no. He'd probably tell him a psycho scientist from a morgue had abducted him. Soemthing close to the truth that they wouldn't call him nuts for.

K-Squared - September 28, 2005 08:04 PM (GMT)
"Oh yes, I forgot that part, If I die, you die. And in jail, I would die, I'd be unable to perform certain spells that I need to. But go ahead, tell if you want to die." the mage said. A sick and twisted smirk contorted his lips now.

But in the end I just wanted to watch you, you lived through the night and all so, why not? I'm not allowed to be capricious?" he asked.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 28, 2005 08:17 PM (GMT)
Silas frowned. He hadn't planned to go to the authorities. Had Ylva never come across him, maybe he wouldn't mind dieing again, but she'd found him, and now Pierce was going to know by tomorrow night. And he didn't want to hurt him again.

"How did you know what I was?" How did he know well enough to have two men prepared for his wolf for dinner?

K-Squared - September 28, 2005 08:25 PM (GMT)
"Magic, I always check the corpses for thngs like that." He answered. A sick man.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 28, 2005 08:35 PM (GMT)
He frowned. He remembered the man jerking off to what he'd done to those men, what his wolf had done and he covered his mouth with his fingers, turning his head to the side and waiting a moment. He turned back again.

"You'll leave me alone?"

K-Squared - September 28, 2005 08:41 PM (GMT)
"Yes, of coarse, so long as you agree to do the same. It's never as much fun the second time." he said with a smirk.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 28, 2005 08:48 PM (GMT)
Silas scowled at the man feircly and then turned without saying a word. It goes unsaid that he's grudgingly agreed to leave the man alone in order to be left alone. He didn't say goodbye as he simply walked out of the house and started across the yard.

He wasn't going to die.

He was going to stay alive.

Question was....did he want to?
