Title: Well hello Uncle
Description: KAYLEE!!!!

Thorn - September 24, 2005 08:16 PM (GMT)
Jehovah wouldn't be a very good person to cross right about now.

Aside from the fact that he's a murderer and you shouldn't want to cross a murderer's path anyways, Jehovah's had a terrible week. He's taken it out on a few low ranking police officers of the BPD unit. But that hadn't quenched his annoyance in the least. usually, He limits himself. One body a month or less. THis week he's killed two. Raped two. Disposed of two.

It didn't make matters worse that Jocylyn got sick on Monday and Tuesday, nor that he found Lucifer in a wheelchair.

Now here he stands in the dimmly lit coffee house. Taking it out on others hadn't helped, maybe he just needed to try and relax a little bit. So he'd bundled Jocylyn up in a little pink pair of overalls and a blanket in the baby carrier, dressed himself in black slacks and a white oxford shirt, put on a black duster jacket, tied his hair back, and entered the Bean looking like a professional.

A professional what is the question.

I'll give you a hint, there's a gun tucked into the back of his pants beath his jacket, and it's completly legal. Used for illegal purposes.

He entered the coffee shop with a dipper bag on one shoulder, a baby carrier in the other hand, and stood in line behind a rather good looking college student. He towered over the boy with his six foot and more frame.

Kaylee - September 24, 2005 08:42 PM (GMT)
Enter Ganymedes.

A professional looking man, even if he was simply dressed in black denim jeans and his hair pulled back into a loose braid. He had taken the day off and decided to just relax the day away. But he got restless and took a walk. He ended up coming here, just after a young man with a baby entered the building. He had been too busy thinking to notice how familiar the man looked.

He was standing in another line beside Jehovah's, almost parallel to the young man. He was caught up in thought though, simply thinking about work and a young girl who was slowly recovering from rape. Poor dear. There were a lot of rape cases in this city. As well as many abuse cases and such. He was more overworked than he had been when he lived in San Diego.

He pushed his glasses up smoothly so that they weren't falling off his nose and brushed his bangs from his face. Neh, damn things. He had a rather tight, black t-shirt on. Many people would call it 'girl's' style becuase it didn't go lower than his belt. On it was the name 'Rammstein', a favorite band of his, which was rather surprising becuase most would think he was the stern type of person who would say rock was the devil's music.

But he wasn't.

No, just a rather tired man who wanted a cup of coffee. He damned the long line as he looked over the menu.

These prices should be illegal.

Thorn - September 25, 2005 07:06 AM (GMT)
Rock is the devils music. Which is why so many people like it.

Alright, so it isn't the devil's music, but it is rather toeing that line, don't you think? Isn't it great?

Jehovah took much notice of everyone in the shop, a mixture of occupation and habbit. He always looks, always finds details that most overlook or simply don't see at all. Eventually, he's turned his eyes on the man in the next line over. Rolling his shoulders to shrug the dipper bag into a different position at his hip, he steps forward when the line moves forward and stops.

Where Ganymedes is simply too caught up in thought to even think about recognizing Jehovah, Jehovah is so very caught up in instinctual behavior to let it go unnoticed that he recognizes this other's features. Of course, in his line of business, you tend to see a lot of faces. Victims, Witnesses, Suspects. You tend to remember a lot of them too. But this was different.

His green eyes are the same. But different. Jehovah's eyes rested in a hard way. Cop eyes. Murderer Eyes. It gives one the impression of a lion stalking a helpless pray. Quite often, where Jehovah is involved, this is the case.

Another step forward and he's at the front. He orders a Mocha Latte. His accent is german, though not heavily influanced. His voice is........almost like Chris'?

Kaylee - September 25, 2005 11:34 AM (GMT)
Yes, very very great.

Ganymedes was moving up with the line, caught up in the expensive prices. It's not like it'll wound his wallet, he is a shrink, he'll make plenty of money and have plenty left over. He was behind a somewhat slow family, so Jehovah made it to the counter first. But almost right after the other stepped up, so did Ganymedes. He opened his to order but no words came out.

He had stiffened, try as he might to hide it, and maybe to the untrained eye it wasn't noticeable but he did stiffen. That. Voice. He looked over to where he heard it. Oh wait, not Chris, he visibly relaxed. Oh god, then who is it? He had a baby. The face looked familiar, a few of the traits he possesses and he is tall. Don't worry, he'll remember in a moment.

Before the cashier person could ask him anything, he quickly orders.

"Chai Mocha."

Very similar voice, like his brother's, but softer and with a very strong German accent of his own. He uses his hands to brush back a few strands of hair from his face. If he had been any younger he'd probably be shaking.

Thorn - September 25, 2005 02:35 PM (GMT)
Standing there, listening, watching with those vivid green eyes the currently eight people in the city possess, the left corner of his lip twitched. This man, he doesn't look very old, he couldn't possibly be much older then Jehovah. Jehovah's first guess would be that this may be another brother in his long line of half-brothers and half-sisters. But Jehovah knows for a fact that he was Chris' first, eldest child.

He shifted the baby carrier to the other hand. The baby is a beautiful child, like most babies, and she definatly looks like her dad...Chris, but then, Jehovah looks like Chris too. The child looks like the man holding her. She's got a little ring of gooey animal shapes, drooling away on it, bright green eyes staring widely off to the back of the line.

He carefully accepted his drink in the freed hand and then turns, not towards the door but towards the man beside him.

"I'm sorry to bother," no he isn't. "Are you in a hurry?"

Kaylee - September 25, 2005 04:19 PM (GMT)
Ganymedes had just finished paying and was receiving his cup when the other man and his beautiful baby turned to him and spoke. Ganymedes looked up and over at the other, studying him carefully. He knew who this was. What was his name though? One of Chris' children.

A mental sigh and the other shook his attractive head.

"No problem at all..." He rolls his rs still, can't help it, but it sounds as if he is purring almost. "I am in no hurry."

Lucky Jehovah, in most occations Ganymedes tries to avoid anything to do with Chris, even if it means pushing away his nephews and neices. But it looks like he is stuck. He walks out of the line and nods to a table, rather out of hearing range if Jehovah wishes to be undisturbed by others.

"Shall we?"

Thorn - September 25, 2005 04:47 PM (GMT)
How lucky, Ganymedes, I think. Lucky that he's chosen not to blow Jehovah off. Usually, if the person Jehovah wants to talk to blows him off, he hunts them down, stalks them. Sometime...ok...most often, the other person dies. And how lucky, I think, that Jehovah has grown to love Lucifer and Jocelyn because otherwise, he might still be inclined to kill anything that has to do with Chris first and then ask questions later.

Thats a frightening thought really.

He moved towards the table and set the cup down first, then pulled a chair and carefully situated the baby carrier with the baby in it on a chair, pulling it near him and seating himself as well. One would think he was a very loveing person, the way he douts on the baby. He is...very loving to the baby...and Lucifer. But not anyone else.

"You're Ganny (because that's all Chris ever called him in front of Jehovah) Valentine," he said after settling. He looks respectable. "Am I correct?"

Kaylee - September 25, 2005 05:07 PM (GMT)
"That is what my brother called me..."

Ganny had loved Lucifer when he was a baby, he took care of him and tried his best to protect him from Chris since the man had taken such a liking to the poor boy. He was sitting across from Jehovah, respectable indeed. His voice was soft, but not all together quiet. He did not like talking about Chris.

"But my name is Ganymedes Valentine."

Chris had started the Ganny nickname and despite the one who gave him that nickname, it was useful and easier to remember for many kids when he was young. He took a sip and of his tea and then it hit him.

"Nice to see you again too Jehovah."

He remembered who this was. The kid always scared him, even if he was younger than Ganny. Even when they were just kids. Perhaps that is why he had tried his best to avoid him. He set his cup down.

"I suppose there is a reason for you to want to speak to me."

Statement, not a question, but the other is more than welcome to reply with an answering statement.

Thorn - September 25, 2005 05:15 PM (GMT)
His lip twitched into a smile that was definatly not Chris' when Ganymedes recalled his name. This one, this smile, belonged to his beautiful mother. He removed the lid from his drink to allow it to cool some.

"Probably, but I don't know what it is yet." He replied, indeed, answering Ganymedes' statment that was a potential question. "Yes well, Ganny was the only name I was told." It's actually hard to tell that this is the same kid who would goad his father into a fight at the age of nine. He just...seems, looks, acts, feels so different. Too calm, too easy-going.

Jocelyn cooed from the carrier, he glanced down, then returned cop eyes to his Uncle.

"What brought you to Bayfield? I thought you were running away from the bastard." Not dad. He never had called him dad. Why would he come back to Bayfield if Chris was here if Chris was the reason he'd left?

Kaylee - September 25, 2005 05:24 PM (GMT)
"I'm thirty-three years old, running away isn't my main priority. I'm here becuase of my job, I was transfered from San Diego."

See that flash that went through his eyes? He hadn't remembered that this was the place where Chris lived, it was one of the unpleasant memories that his mind blocked. Anyways, he had hardly been here for a month. He sighed, taking another sip of his mocha while watching the baby and a small smile graced his lips.

"My job is more important to me...I've been avoiding Christopher...whether or not he even knows I live here, I myself am not sure...Tell me. Are there others here?" Other children. Perhaps his favorite too. "Lucifer?"

Maybe Jehova knows how much he adored Lucifer, maybe he doesn't remember, maybe he didn't even know. But Ganymedes would love to see him. It would probably break his heart too, been through so much. This family must be cursed.

Thorn - September 25, 2005 05:29 PM (GMT)
Jehovah didn't know about Ganymedes' love or adortion for Lucifer. He never went to Jocelyn's house, and Chris didn't usually bring girlfriends or kids or even his wife over to the house that he and Ganymedes and Jehovah lived in. Jehovah hadn't even seen Lucifer until he was about to kill him.

"Maybe," is that feirceness? Protectivness? Maybe Lucifer's here. What's it to you, his tone said. He suddenly seems a little more hostile. Not in the 'Jehovah the murderer' way but in the 'Jehovah the Cop' and the newly found 'Jehovah the loving brother' sort of way.

His eyes slid to Jocelyn again, he pulled the chair a little closer. Definatly protective.

"He's got a lot." Of kids that is. Jehovah knows about them all, he just doesn't know where they are, what they look like, he only knows names and ages.

Kaylee - September 25, 2005 05:37 PM (GMT)
Ganymedes knew that voice. He was a Psychiatrist after all. He has worked with so many people. Including prisoners charged with horrendos crimes. He could read the body language. Mental note: Jehovah; protective of Lucifer and/or siblings.

"So he is then." Another thoughtful sip. "I haven't seen him since I lived with Jocelyn."

It might be touchy for others, but it wasn't for Ganymedes. He hadn't entirely gotten over it, but he was able to rationalize everything out and face the facts. The other had moved the baby closer to him but he made no motion of noticing. He crossed his legs, eyes solemn as he studied Jehovah.

"You asked me why I came here...but Jehovah, why are you here?"

Still here, Ganny thought he would have moved by now, get away from his father. Unless he is planning some ridiculous sort of revenge. Revenge may give you some satisfaction, but it will never get rid of troubles.

Thorn - September 25, 2005 05:44 PM (GMT)
Oh revenge is exactly what Jehovah wants. But it's not why he hasn't left yet.

"Leave him be," he warned about Lucifer. "His life is hard enough." Can someones tone ever grow any colder then his just has. It's a threat Ganymedes, if you go medaling in Lucifer's pitiful life, I'll murder you. And we won't doubt Jehovah would do it. You might say he's a little protective of Lucifer. And Jocelyn. But not of the others. He doesn't know them. Doesn't care.

At the name Jocelyn, the baby cooed again, turned big green eyes to the direction her name was spoken, made a squeeling sound and a giggling/bubbling sound. Jehovah didn't let go of the leg of the chair beneath the table.

But Jehovah, why are you here?

"I never left, I've got a good job here." he replied. "And Lucifer's here. He needs me. I wouldn't leave him." That and Chris is here somewhere. And he's still got to kill him, not that he'd mention that outloud.

Kaylee - September 25, 2005 06:00 PM (GMT)
Ganymedes raised his hands, not in 'I surrender' but almost a dissmissive motion. But he isn't that disrespectful. A sip of the coffee. Pitiful life, hm? Ganymedes sighed and shook his head. If he had stayed, maybe Lucifer wouldn't have such a 'pitiful life'. He was looking at Jehovah thoughtfully, his business eyes, lucky that Jehovah didn't know what he did for a profession. It might make that threat even more serious.

"I understand, I won't seek him out." But if he crosses my path I will not hesitate.

At the giggly noises of the baby, Ganymedes had turned his head and smiled at the baby. He has hope for her, maybe her life will turn out pleasant enough, unlike the others who he had deemed from birth as doomed since they had lived with Chris. He brushed his bangs out of his face, then returned it so that both where holding the cup on the top of the table, in Jehovah's sight.

Why don't you take him and leave?

The older man resisted asking that question, it might only go on to annoy Jehovah and cause him to be even more bitter towards his Uncle. And he had an idea why he hasn't left.

He's selfish.

The thought flitted into his mind before he could stop it. He tried his best to ignore it. Jehovah might think that he's doing the best for Lucifer but he really isn't. Of course Ganny wouldn't say that. No one ever believes shrinks when they talk. People think they are just full of shit and don't know anything. Sometimes that is true. But Ganny knows many things, from experience and studying people. He was half-tempted to stand up and leave now, solely because of the fact that talking to Jehovah was constantly reminding him of Chris. But he staid there.

"I see."

See what? A lot of things.

Thorn - September 25, 2005 06:10 PM (GMT)
Jehovah snorted softly, touched his cup. Cop eyes returning. He knew what Ganymedes meant by that. And he didn't want their paths to cross.

"Don't do that."

I see, he means.

Did Jehovah know what Ganymedes did for a living? No. But he's a cop. And he spends a lot of time saying 'I see' and 'Sure' to his witnesses, and even sometimes to his suspects. And he doesn't like hearing it.

Actually, Jehovah is selfish, but something has changed in the past year. Somethings changed since he kidnapped Jocelyn, since he's met Lucifer. In honesty, if he could just pick Lucifer and Jocelyn up and move, he'd go find Chris and give him a quick kill and leave. But it's not that easy. Jehovah's too complicated, Lucifer is too complicated. Lucifer wouldn't leave. Making him leave would hurt him. And Jehovah would have to uproot several people's lives in order to take Lucifer.

Luc wouldn't leave the damned desert rat, Bomani.

"Because you don't see." Because you can't possibly understand.

Kaylee - September 25, 2005 06:27 PM (GMT)
Maybe this is why he always avoided Jehovah, he and the boy just never seemed to click. You'd think they would 'have grounds for a truce' (as Ky put it) since they have a common enemy and both care for Luc. It makes you wonder why they aren't getting the most along.

They need to though, or at least they should.

Ganymedes raised an eyebrow at the 'Don't do that', don't do what? Say 'I see'? Mm. Instead of saying anything he took a long sip of his drink. His brilliant mind was processing everything, going through things while his eyes studied and his ears listened.

Hm.

"I don't, do I?"

A question.

"And why is that?"

He's listening, go on and tell him what he doesn't understand. He's has never dealt with something exactly like this, no, but many similar ones that taught him many lessons and he has been through his own problems. What can he not understand?

Thorn - September 25, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)
Ganymedes, your shrink is showing.

Jehovah's got the family brains too and it isn't very hard to pick up on what it is Ganymedes is doing, and in connection, what he does for a living.

"No, you don't see. You don't understand what his life is like. You've not seen him in forever, because you ran away. Lucifer isn't willing to run away." He doesn't think so anyways, he'll have to ask Luc about that later. Notice he doesn't say anything about himself running away. That's because, just as when he was a kid, Jehovah would run towards the problem before away from it. And he'd probably prod it with a stick, provok it, and then attack it.

"And don't shrink talk me. I'm not an idiot and you aren't getting paid to analyse me." Cop eyes again, cold, unmoved, suspicious.

Kaylee - September 25, 2005 06:47 PM (GMT)
He can't help it. His job is who he is. He doesn't have much of a life.

"Well pardon me, I'm just naturally curious I guess."

He looked down though, into his cup and his face got serious. A sip and then he looks back to Jehovah.

"Then he isn't doing very well is he..." More of a statement than a question. It somewhat saddened him to think his favorite nephew is miserable. "I ran away becuase I wanted to get away from that sick freak." Chris of course. "If I had the chance, I would have taken Lucifer, but I knew that would have hurt Jocelyn. So I didn't."

He leaned forward, more hair falling into his face. When that happens, his face gets softer looking, and much younger. He already looks young, now he looks even younger. His green eyes were rather tired looking and even somewhat blank. He was thinking about things. He looked over at Jehovah. He wasn't intimidated by him anymore, rather, he was slightly wary.

Maybe it was becuase of how Ganymedes had avoided Jehovah, that they didn't get along very well now. Jehovah probably remembers that. How Ganny always locked himself away from everyone. Maybe it's also becuase he didn't try to stop Chris from hitting Jehovah. But Ganny had his own reasons then too. Jehovah had never shown any signs of wanting to associate himself with Ganny.

"I had always believed that you hated me..." And I'm starting to believe you really do.

Thorn - September 28, 2005 02:38 PM (GMT)
"No," he replied, lifting his cup and taking the first drink. It was much colder then he liked because he'd been distracted and let it cool too long. It was Ganymeds fault that his drink was too cold. His cop eyes narrowed just a little. "He isn't doing well."

The baby shifted in the seat, made a sound, whimpered. Jehovah looked over, looked at his watch, reached into the dipper bad on the floor and hesitated about leaving the baby there since Ganymeds could watch her. But Jehovah hardly trusts anyone. He picked the carrier up and took it with him to the counter.

"Excuse me," he told Ganny as he left. He handed the bottle to a young lady behind the counter and she took it to the back, came back a moment later coddling over Jocelyn. Jehovah let her for a moment, a stern look on his face, then took the baby and the warmed bottle back to the table. He held it into Jocelyn's mouth.

Ganymeds had avoided Jehovah, and during that time, it had bothered Jehovah a little, only because he'd just lost his mother. Jehovah had taken little notice, however, of Ganymeds, resigning that if his uncle loved him as little as his father but didn't hit him, then he merited no attintion. His father, however, did hit him, and Jehovah had occupied his mind from then on (ignoring people) by goading Chris on until he was strong enough to fight back and win.

"I had always believed that you hated me..." And I'm starting to believe you really do.

"I don't like anyone, Ganymeds." He never had. You had to earn Jehovah's trust, and that was asking for a lot.

Kaylee - October 2, 2005 06:41 PM (GMT)
The man had occupied himself with his job until the other came back. He was halfway surprised that the other didn't just grab his things and leave. Ganymedes has half a mind to do so.

"No? Then you must love Lucifer."

He pulled his glasses off. Without them he looks so much more like his older brother, save for the smug expression and 5 o'clock shadow. He went on to clean his glasses with a velvet looking cloth and looked at Jehovah. He could almost see the other clearly, but he was still too close to be perfectly clear.

It made him dizzy.

Feeling off balance he leaned back and took a sip of his coffee. Goodness. Maybe he should have gone to work today. His cup was empty and he gave a thoughtful frown. He wanted some more. He stood up, glasses set on the table and he nodded to Jehovah.

"Pardon me."

And he went up to the counter, asking for more. He then remembered he forgot his glasses. Damnit. He can never set them down without forgetting them. The dizziness was not helped, he needed his glasses. Hurry up counter lady.

Thorn - October 3, 2005 01:45 PM (GMT)
Jehovah watched his uncle at the counter with something other then cop eyes. It was something similar to caution. It's not a look that Jehovah bares often, easily, or for just any random reason. He's watching his uncle cautiously because he's assessing him. Was he at all like his father? It didn't seem so, but then, his father was a doctor, no one at the hospital was ever suspicious that he might beat his children, rape his children.

Maybe Ganymedes had gone through whatever Chris had to make Chris that way. Maybe instead of becoming abusive, like Chris, like Jehovah was realizing he'd become, Ganymedes had become delicate or maybe just a little gaurded, like Lucifer had been before so much shit had happened to him to make him so pitiful.

Oh, is this your human showing Jehovah?

He suddenly had this urge to protect Ganymedes from Chris like he protected Lucifer. Even though he felt something like a grudge against his uncle. His uncle said he'd loved Lucifer when he was young..but he had avoided him. It wasn't fair.

He continued to gaze with heavily mixed feelings at his uncle, his green eyes darkened with thought, his hand still holding the bottle up for the baby.

To answer a question Arc mused about in another thread, yes, Jehovah was very attatched to this child, and since he'd gotten her long before she had a chance to get to know what had happened, he would not tell her about what her father was like. He would not tell her he was her father though. She would grow up knowing he was her uncle, but she would be told her father didn't matter, that he was dead. That his mother was dead. They may as well be. Jehovah planned to kill at least their father.

Kaylee - October 4, 2005 01:07 AM (GMT)
Oh no. If Jehovah was willing to ask, Ganymedes would be willing to tell as much as he could. Even he does not know about what sent Chris 'over the edge'. Maybe he was born that way, with urges that are called 'disgusting' and 'sinful' and just plain 'demonic'. Ganymedes was adored by his Mother, and Chris was despised.

Ganymedes is both delicate and guarded, not so much as Lucifer but still enough to have an impact on his daily life, no matter how strong he seemed to be, he is always going to be made of semi-thick glass. He can only take so many hits. But, he does heal after so much time, and after a long time of exposure he becomes numb to it and instead of cracking the glass it simply goes through it like light. No harm, never noticed.

But he isn't immune to Chris, and he probably never will be.

He looked vulnerable now. Obviously half-blind and despite being able to look people in the eyes, any older man seemed to make him shoft uncomfortably. He is afraid of older man. An irrational fear Chris helped create.

One particular man was standing a bit too close to Ganny, whether he meant to or not. But Ganny was obviously not fond of this man in his 'bubble'. He kept pushing himself back against the counter to avoid any contact.

Now, sure, on a 'normal' day, this would only slightly bother Ganny. But Jehovah had already tapped the glass hard enough to disturb him. Thus he was weakened, and felt exposed. Thank goodness his drink was given to him the next minute.

He made his way back, and had brushed shoulders with the other man. Ganymedes sure didn't do it on purpose but he gave a soft 'Pardon me' and slipped by as quickly as possible. He was quick to get back to the booth and slid in carefully, trying to seem calm. But he wasn't really.

He was practically shaking.

A sip of his drink and he leaned back, eyes half closed as he slipped on his glasses, cup in the other hand. His eyes looked into the face of Jehovah and almost looked away, rather embarresed becuase of his weaknesses. In his family, a man should never show weaknesses, not to the public, not to his family, not to his wife, not to anyone. He had to hide them and lock them away. That is how Ganymedes had been raised. But his time with Chris took away any chance of that.

Another sip and a look to the baby then back at Jehovah. Almost saying 'you must have a question you want to ask' or at least something to say. Something to get rid of this horrible silence.

(( o.o longer post than usual ))

Thorn - October 5, 2005 01:37 PM (GMT)
Jehovah stared at Ganymedes for a long moment of silence, observing him. What’s got to be the hardest about trying to hide things from Jehovah is that he isn’t, was never normal. He has always been observant and head strong. And now he’s a cop as well, not just observant, he was trained to look for details. He’s a murderer. Details are very important in not being caught.

“He’s infected you.” He said it after the long silence. And then he laughed lightly. “Your afraid.” Obvious, not to many, but to Jehovah. “We’re all afraid. What else are you afraid of?”

He didn’t mention what it was the made him so afraid. Jehovah himself couldn’t say what he was afraid of, because it would require admitting what he was to Ganymedes and only Lucifer and\, because of Lucifer, Bomani knew that he was a murderer. No one else knew, no one else needed to know. But what Jehovah was so very afraid of was himself. He’d become his father at one point and struggled with himself not to be. And he’d accomplished it, not being like his father. Unfortunatly he’d found himself moving in the wrong direction. He’d accomplished not being like his father and turned into a murderer, a rapist. His father beat people for dominance, he killed people because of rejection.

"Infected?"

A small laugh, so sarcastic and quiet. Please excuse him for being a little bitter.

"That's something I haven't heard. I've simply been recreated by him." Simply been? "Shaped into the little docile thing he wanted me to be, I hid my stubborness and did my best to close myself off to anyone. I am afraid of him. I shouldn't be, but I am. Luckilly though, I have changed...if only just slightly. I still despise him..."

He looked to Jehovah square in the eye now.

"What am I afraid of? When I was young I was afraid of becoming him, turning into a bitter person just like him who abuses people and cares for only myself. Now, I'm just afraid of growing to be an old, bitter man who was never able to do anything to help the Valentine children in some way."

As he calls his brother's children. He doesn't care about his brother, he's sure the older ones have marked him to kill later, seeing as everyone in the family is violent in one way or the other. This is such a messed up family.

He rubbed his cup with one finger, then took a sip before loking at the table. He was ashamed of himself, he had never done anything to help the children, not yet. Which he found pathetic and shameful. In some ways, he found himself just as bad as his big brother.

Thorn - October 6, 2005 12:56 PM (GMT)
What am I afraid of? When I was young I was afraid of becoming him, turning into a bitter person just like him who abuses people and cares for only myself.

Jehovah was all of those save for one, and even then, a year ago, he was even selfish and thought only of himself. His green eyes shifted to the child in the baby carrier, dressed up in little outfits he'd bought her, using a bottle he'd bought her, the carrier he'd bought her. It was Lucifer that saved him from being self-centered and only thoughtful of himself. It was Jocelyn that had saved him from being selfish. But that still left him bitter and abusive.

"I've helped two of them." He replied. Meaning 'sure you can help them. But Lucifer and Joy are mine, I took care of them and I still am, without your help.' Did you notice that. 'I've helped two of them.' two. He didn't consider himself neither a Valentine Child nor in need of help.

Kaylee - October 6, 2005 08:53 PM (GMT)
Ganny saw the other studying the baby, what was he thinking? Sometimes Ganny wished he had the ability to read emotions, no minds, no, way too scary. Some people have gone insane becuase it's simply too overwhelming, no, he'd just like to know what their emotions are. It would help with situations.

He smiled, it was small, but genuine. Yes, unlike many people, Ganny was easilly capable of giving a real smile. Did that mean that this baby is one of them? The words were unsaid. He simply nodded.

"Which does not strike me as odd...well...only slightly..."

His smile turned slightly amused.

"I'd think the children would actually get along, but...if any turned out like Chris...I highly doubt it. If they could not get along, at least they'd have a common 'enemy'."

He sighed and leaned his head back, graceful neck curtained by hair. It would be like an army...

"Gods know how many children that man has spawned over the years. Never could keep his dick in his pants..."

Thorn - October 8, 2005 10:16 PM (GMT)
"Eleven," he replied evenly. He knew how many were spawned. Because while Chris couldn't keep his dick in his pants, Jehovah could keep track of where his dick had been. He is, after all, a higher ranking police and so has access to the equipment to track Chris as well as the ability to get birth certificate copies. Of course, he'd said eleven. Chris had twelve. But only two people knew about the twelth one, Chris and Julianna. That little girl Christa. Jehovah also happens to be counting Alec and Keith (Lucifer's deceased twins) in the calculations as well.

"They wouldn't get along," he said quietly in response to his uncles musing. His gaze returned levely to the man across the table. Why not? Because he's just like Chris and he knows it. And he has no doubt that at least one or two of the others were like he and Chris since: "the only thing that keeps Lucifer from becoming like Chris is because he has myself and his desert rat." Desert Rat? He means the egyptian roommate. By the way, he's actually quoting Lucifer there nearly. Lucifer has said he's more like their father then he thinks.

Ganymedes could probably look up hospial records, you can find just about everything with hospital records. He hasn't tried it yet though so he doesn't know if he can get them legally or not. He can just say that he's their uncle...that would work, wouldn't it? Ah well, no use to think about it right now, not while he is distracted.

"He's a healthy man..."

Eleven kids. hat man won't be going sterile any time soon now will he? Ganny's lips thinned into a frown, very rarely does he frown, solely becuase he usually just goes blank instead. The thought reminds him of himself, wifeless and childless. A shame really. Any attempt to have a wife or get involved with someone has been cut short and he generally attracts the women who find it disgraceful to have children out of marrige.

So he's stuck here, wifeless, childless, without family and all alone. Except fo his kittens. Yea, its kind of a sad life.

They wouldn't get along, would they...maybe some would. He wished at least. More conflict doesn't do anything but cause trouble. He sighed and raised an eyebrow.

"Desert rat?"

This was most likely a person the other was talking about, he could tell that, but why would someone call a person a dersert rat of all things? Odd.

Thorn - October 16, 2005 04:47 PM (GMT)
Yes but when Gannymedes had said I'd think the children would actually get along it cause Jehovah to think of all of the children as a whole. Not parts. They would most definatly not all get along. Lucifer and himself did. It's doubtful Jehovah and Kriss could ever get along. Juli maybe, because she'd known Jehovah. She's get along with the others probably too. Lucifer would get along with all of them, likely, because he could get along with Jehovah, and that's a hard thing to do. Salem, she's happy. She could get along with them all. The tripletes? They're so jaded and seem to want only eachother. So maybe. When it comes down to it...the only ones that probably wouldn't get along easily is Jehovah and Kriss.

"He won't be for long," he replied to the healthy man comment. Jehovah wants him dead, but if for any reason at all, he can't do that, he's at least going to destroy what gives Chris the ability to produce just to turn around and abuse what he produced.

"Lucifer's room mate." Also a body gaurd assassin type. Lucifer attracts the dangeroud types it seems. Why would someone call someone that? Because they're raceist and Bomani is Egyptian. But Jehovah's not really raceist. He calls him that to imply racisim but really it's just an insulting name to the Egyptian.

Kaylee - October 16, 2005 08:20 PM (GMT)
Jehovah and Kriss, being the two eldest of the children and the most like Kriss would probably not get along. Kriss wasn't as 'evil' as Jehovah could be and was more just controlling and abusive than sadistic. Unless you get him really angry. He also looked practically identical to his father. Jehovah was the most like Chris, but didn't look like his twin, like Kriss did.

Ganny leand forwarn, chin atop his fingers, palm down.

"Many people have probably said that."

But none so far have acted on it.

"Ah. I suppose that nickname refers to your love of this roomate."

Sarcasm, yes, Ganny is able to pull of sarcasm very well, with a serious face and all. there are a lot of racist people, and it's not a pleasant thing. Ganymedes is not racist, he cannot afford to be racist, sexist, or have any form of discrimination with his job. He'd help anyone, even his own brother.

Thorn - October 17, 2005 11:29 PM (GMT)
Of course it’s not a pleasant thing, but Jehovah isn’t a pleasant person now is he? But again I say he’s not racist, he just doesn’t like Bomani. Not that Bomani likes him anymore. The feelings seem to be mutual. Jehovah’s occupation actually can’t afford to be racist either, it can get a cop into big trouble. Especially someone that’s as far up in the chain of command as himself.

“Many people don’t mean it.”

That implies one of two things. Either Jehovah doesn’t mean it, or hasn’t planned it yet, like everyone else, or he really does mean it. Which he does. He’s waiting, biding his time. He knows those triplets are in that house with his father. They’re sixteen. Another two years and if dear dad dies, it won’t matter. They’ll be eighteen and Jehovah won’t have to work to find them a home, worry about taking them himself, or even care what happens because they can get a home on their own by then. Plans.

“Certainly is.”

Jehovah’s just as good at sarcasm. And he really does help people...that he’s not planning to kill. Two more things Jehovah and Ganymedes have in common. They’re sarcastic and they both are willing to save a brother. Jehovah already has. And he’s going to save the rest of them, or at least redeem them, by killing the very brother Ganny would be willing to help.

Kaylee - October 20, 2005 01:32 AM (GMT)
At least they have some things in common, right? Ganymedes is a strange little man. Attractiveness and intelligence cannot make up for the fact that somewhere, he still loves his brother. He loves everyone, but in a more modest way. Somewhere he cares very much for Jeovah. He already cares about Lucifer. He hasn't even met all the kids but he already cares for them very much. Or is it just pity?

"I just take it you've been waiting for the right time? What's been stopping you?"

It bothers him; the thought of his brother getting killed. It's his brother for pity's sake, how can anyone wish death upon their family? ...Oh shut-up, I already know people are capable of such things. And it's not the nicest thing either. Ganny wanted a smoke right now too. He used to smoke, but he quit before he got seriously addicted. Sometimes he still has those cravings. Nasty habit.

Thorn - October 20, 2005 12:48 PM (GMT)
Jehovah nodded.

"There's eleven." Children that is. "All eleven are accounted for," meaning he knows where most of the others are, and if not where, he at least knows that Chris isn't bothering them anymore. He doesn't know where Krisstopher is, He doesn't know where Salem is. Everyone else, he's at least found out where they live. Unfortunatly, he'd thought that Juli and Christa still lived in England, there he is wrong. And Chris has harassed Juli since she moved to town. "Four of the eleven were stuck with him. I took one. But I can not take care of four, I would not ask Lucifer to try. So, until they are old enough..."

Follow his logic Ganymedes? There's a very fine line between Insanity and Genius. Jehovah's almost nearly always toeing the line in between. What's he getting at telling his long lost uncle that he knows nothing about, all about his plans to kill his father? That uncles brother?

It's almost the same as when he'd told Lucifer he was going to kill him, and then go after their father. Difference is, Lucifer wanted it to happen. Does Ganymedes? Probably not if he's willing to try to help Chris.

Kaylee - October 23, 2005 02:03 PM (GMT)
Willing to help Chris in what way though? Chris has done nothing to earn back Ganymedes' trust or respect and probably never will. Ganymedes nodded and sighed. Shit, eleven? Jehovah...the older man looked at him again, in sort of a different way. From weird kid to odd adult. He is the oldest of all the Valentine children, isn't he? Did he feel responsible for all of them? Mm, probably not for the older ones, maybe a little for the younger. And of course Lucifer, there was something odd about this one's seeming possessiveness over Ganymedes' favorite.

"I take it this lovely little girl...was the one you took away?"

He loked down to Jocelyn, smiling softly at the pretty little girl. She is going to be a heart-breaker when she gets older no doubt. He exteneded an arm, finger just brushing the baby's holder before pulling back, taking hold of his cup noce more.

"Who's left?"

Probably a few older kids, possible deliquents whether they be male or female. If they are older, Ganny surpressed a shudder, age never truly seemed to matter to Chris. They're probably constantly beaten up and even worse...Ganymedes closed his eyes. He did not want to think about any other subject. A sip of his cool drink gave him little consolation.

Having the last name of 'Valentine' seems to start becoming a curse.

Thorn - December 6, 2005 07:31 PM (GMT)
Yes, Jehovah would never admit to it, but he did feel responsible for them all. Even Kristopher who wasn't much younger then him. All of them, even the ones that he'd never met yet. As for Lucifer, Jehovah had been ready to hunt down and murder the man, nearly had killed him. I think it was that that made their bond so much tighter, because Lucifer asked him if he could help kill their father. Because Lucifer wanted, needed, Jehovah's help, like Jocyln.

"No." He looked at the baby beside him. "She's mine." He's lying of course, because he fears anyone knowing the baby wasn't his. He didn't want anyone investigating where she came from, or rumors getting out about his kidnapping a kid and the rest of the police force looking into it. The baby looked enough like him to pass her off as his anyways.

Who was left? "Triplettes." No male or female, no names, no age. "They're two old for someone with my schedual to take, too many of them too. They're fine. They are different from all the rest of us. They have eachother, we were all alone. They take care of eachother."
