Title: Unexpected Reunion
Description: -For Em-

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 06:36 PM (GMT)
The last night club she had visited had not been what she expected. So instead of returning to the place she had gone to a different club, hoping to find it more to her liking than the last.

Of course she wasn’t dressed as flashy this time around, but that didn’t matter to her. Dressed in a blue flower print camisole style top and black leather pants, Juli sat at the bar smoking one of her infrequent cigarettes. She didn’t want Chrissy having to deal with the smell of the smoke. That last thing she needed was Chrissy getting ill from second hand smoke.

She blew out smoke and then set her cigarette bud in the ash tray beside her. The babysitter told her to stay out as long as she needed. It had been quite a long day, coming home quite late, even after Chrissy was already asleep in bed. She was quickly finding that she hated her boss. Just because he had no life he thought it was alright to take what little of life she already had by making her work over time practically every night this week. Hopefully Chrissy wasn’t too upset about it. Besides, she told her she would take her to the park tomorrow since it was Saturday to spend some time together finally.

Elbow rested on the counter, head resting in her hand, fingers slipping through her wavy blonde hair. Emerald eyes were watching the band that was playing opposite of the bar.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 06:53 PM (GMT)
He's dressed in slacks, black in color, a button down shirt, a charcoal gray in color. It's not club attire, really, but it looks good on him and he fills it all out rather nicely. The dye in his hair that kept it close to it's natural brown color had begun to fade a little and shot silver though a few parts of his hair, but it looked good this evening with his outfit and did not add any years to his feature that looked only thirty so he did not grumble about it.

In his twenties, he'd been a good looking man, in his fourties, age seems to have only added what looked like dignity to his good looks. He sports very few wrinkles and his skin is still rather healthy.

It seemed, however, as he sat at a table playing cards with another man his own age and two younger, roudier men, and was surrounded by women, that he recognized a face across the club. A pretty face, with his eyes. He folded his hand and stood up, excuseing himself and peeling a blonde woman's fingers off of his arm, and he circled the bar, coming around behind her and looking in the mirror across from the bar carfully to be sure that it was in fact who he thought it might be. It was.

Christopher Valentine moved forward and put a hand on wither side of the bar around her, putting his lips very near her ear.

"Do you smoke around your daughter too?"

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 08:14 PM (GMT)
Her stomach had started to get that awkward feeling even before she saw him; that stomach ache that she always got when he was around her when she was little. It caused her to look around, not even thinking about him being behind her, until she felt his breath near her ear.

Head shot around to see the person she dreaded facing ever again. Even though she knew she may come across him sooner or later since moving to this city. It still didn’t ease the tension she felt, no matter how relaxed she thought she would be as she played it out in her head. In her head she was calm and collect with this conversation, telling him that she was going to send him to prison for what he did. But now, now she couldn’t remember at all what she was going to say. His face was enough to make her go silent in her head, other than the pounding of her heart in her ears.

”You stay away from her.” That was all she could think to say as he brought up the topic of Chrissy. The bastard didn’t even know the child’s name and she was going to make sure it stayed that way so he couldn’t find her; she hoped at least.

She had moved away from him some time ago and situated a few seats in between them, eyes still fixated on him. Juli tried to remain emotionless in the face, but it was definitely apparent she still was afraid of him after all these years. After 9 years of him being out of her life, she was now staring at him, unsure of what to do other than run away as fast as possible. After all, that’s why she had gone out for cross country; to make sure she could out run him if needed.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 08:28 PM (GMT)
He moved, walking casually, when she ducked from under his arm and moved a few stools down. His casual walk brought him to an empty stool beside her were he sat himself down comfortably. Be glad your in a public place Juli. He can't touch you hear. Not really. Not in the way he'd like or in the way you fear.

"What? Dad doesn't have visitation rights for his own daughter?" He chuckled softly. "She's a pretty little thing," he added, though he'd never actually seen the baby after the second week of it's life. Not even now. But now he knew they were in town, now he knew that he might get a glimps of this illigitemate granchild-daughter of his. He'd only made that comment to make Juli more anxious.

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 08:36 PM (GMT)
It was hard to decide what was overruling her emotions more at this point; fear or hatred. Both were quite strong in her as he spoke of Chrissy.

”You’re a sick bastard.” Of course he already knew that, but she thought she would just emphasize that just a bit more. And Chris succeeded in making her feel more anxious and uncomfortable. Her chest was heaving in and out a little faster as her breathing increased from nervousness. It felt like her heart was going to pound its way right out of her chest.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 08:47 PM (GMT)
"How has she been? Mommy been taking good care of her?"

Taunting, evil, dickhead of a bastard. Yes, he knew this. And it didn't offend him, Not suprising.

"I'd sure like to play with her one date. Maybe set up a play date." He emphasised play, it's not very hard to tell what he meant by that. All of his children, his girlfriends, his ex-wife, they'd all been play things. TOys to be broken and tossed aside. "Maybe she'd like to meet her uncles....or should I say cousins...?" Notice his hand is wrapped once around by a white peice of ace bandage over his knuckles and his fingers lightly bruised. This should tell Juli he's still beating on somebody.

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 08:58 PM (GMT)
The way he spoke so nonchalantly about such a disgusting act of setting up a ‘play date’, was making her adrenaline rush. That adrenaline only reserved for mothers in serious overdrive to protect their child.

”You stay the hell away from her.” Surprisingly more anger than fear was hinted in that sentence. The lights flickered for a moment, Juli’s subconscious working double time connecting with her talent.

Calm down. He’s just trying to make you mad. She wanted to leave this place, but she didn’t like the idea of leaving the crowd and being alone on the street. That might be just what he is wanting and she wasn’t about to leave the safety of the crowd.

Uncles? Cousins? She didn’t know how many brothers she exactly had or sisters. Juli had been left in the dark for the most part of her family and she really didn’t mind. Eyes had finally fallen upon his hand that was bruised.

”Looks like you still are ‘playing’ with somebody.” Which only made her even angrier that he was doing the same thing to somebody else still. She scooted from that seat to another one behind her again. Damn. It was as far as she could go as a man was sitting in the next stool behind her.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 09:03 PM (GMT)
He moved to the stool she'd abandoned. His green eyes went to his hand, then back up and when they returned to her face, he was smiling pleasently, that cold, hard look in his eyes. He smelled like alcohol, but Juli knew enough to know that he wasn't nearly drunk yet. He didn't often get so terrible when in public.

"Three somebodies to be exact," he replied, just to add to her anger. "She has her...mother's eyes you know." Lucky guess. He had bright green eyes, all of his kids except the triplets had his eyes, she had his eyes. Christa was a result of him and Juli, so it's more then a one hundred percent chance that Christa would have green eyes too. "What's her name?"

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 09:10 PM (GMT)
Three? That wasn’t good. Who ever they were she wished she could help them, but she didn’t even know where to begin to even attempt that.

If this situation was awkward she didn’t know what was. Pinned on a stool between the man she hated most and some stranger who was merrily getting drunk behind her. Is that all anybody did anymore?

Heart almost stopped when he said she had her mother’s eyes. She knew full well who he was talking about. How the hell did he know? Had he already found them and been spying? Or was he just bluffing and guessing at everything. After all they both had green eyes. Why wouldn’t she have the same emerald eyes?

”There’s not way in hell I’m going to tell you.” Getting up she headed for the crowed of dancing people all bunched together. Her hope was to lose him in the crowd and get away from him. Though she had been looking for him every since she moved, she just wasn’t prepared to face him yet. It was too soon and she was giving into fear just staring at him again so suddenly after all these years. She looked back every now and then to see if she had lost him yet or praying that he wouldn’t follow.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 09:17 PM (GMT)
"Christa Alexa. Did you name her after me?" He said it in a sing song tone. He shouldn't have known her name. But he did. Juli might not know why he knows so I'll tell you instead. When Juli was in the hospital, he'd visited while she slept. He'd seen the underweight baby through a glass window, suspected it wouldn't live. He'd asked a nurse what his daughter Juli had named his grandchild. That's how he knew Juli had a dughter, not a son, and that's how he knew the girls name.

He didn't follow. He moved away from the bar though. She never left his sight, he made sure of that. He was positive where she would go if he didn't follow her and so he moved to stand near the exit door.

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 09:30 PM (GMT)
Okay now she was thoroughly afraid that he knew Chrissy’s name. She’s going to pray he still didn’t know what she looked like. Needless to say her protectiveness is going to up quite a bit when she finally gets out of this nightmare.

After moving around in between the dancing mass of people she had started to think he had left her alone finally. That is until she looked at the exit and saw him standing there. Shit. What was she going to do now? Eyes started to wander around hoping there was like a back exit or something. There was none that she could find. Double shit.

She ended up heading for the woman’s restroom rather quickly. Once inside she through her hands onto one of the sinks and eyes on the ground. Just breathe. Perhaps she could clear her head in here without him staring at her. Juli felt like she was going to vomit at any moment with how many knots her stomach was tied into at this point.

Juli remained in the bathroom for quite some time, trying to calm herself down.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 09:35 PM (GMT)
Damn it. She makes things too complicated.

Actually, he just harasses people too much. He moved away from the exit towards the women's bathroom and stood on the side of the door where the door would swing open to hide him behind it and just waited. After very little time, a pretty little burnette, too young for him by far, sauntered up and drapped herself on him. He let her, but his attintion was for the ladies restroom door.

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 09:39 PM (GMT)
She splashed some water on her face and then wiped it off with a towel. Finally she made her way out of the bathroom after checking to see if any of the small windows in the bathroom would open. No such luck.

The door swung open, and as he had hoped, hid him from her view as she walked by. Out by the bar again, she stopped in mid step when she didn’t see him standing by the exit anymore. That was more nerve wrecking than him actually being in sight. Where did he go? Immediately her eyes started to look around the place once again. Was it just her or did the room just get hotter?

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 09:43 PM (GMT)
Just you sweetheart.

He abandoned the blonde and fell into step beside Juli, putting his arm around her shoulders and started forcing her to walk towards the exit. "Lets go somewhere and...catch up on missed years." That'll be a looooot of beatings. Nine years worth. Maybe he won't beat her and she'll get lucky. Yeah right. His fingers dug in against her shoudler. "You didn't answer me. Did you name her after me? She wouldn't be the first."

He's got three children whose names can be abriviated into Chris. Krisstopher, Christian, and now Christa. How amusing.

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 09:49 PM (GMT)
She jumped horribly when she felt him next to her, his disgusting arm on her shoulders. The girl winced as he dug his fingernails into her neck. Her feet somehow started walking again as he was forcing her towards the exit. Eyes grew wide and she planted her feet to the floor. No. She wasn’t going out that door. No. No catching up.

”Don’t flatter yourself.” Was the comment made to her naming Chrissy after him. That was definitely not the case. She had a friend in junior high that was named Christa and she just happened to like that name really well. Nothing to do with Chris what so ever.

”Get away from me.” She tried pulling his arm away from around her shoulders.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 09:54 PM (GMT)
She planted her feet and he used his knee to give the back of her knee a shove, forcing her to walk again. She was going out that door. She had no choice. He is the father and she is the daughter, and she is goind to obey him. His logic anyways. His fingers pressed harder into her shoulder.

"Aww, that's too bad." He didn't sound like it bothered him very much. "Has she asked about her dad yet? Surely she wants to know."

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 10:03 PM (GMT)
Feet stumbled forward and she was walking again. Not good. His fingernails digging in further caused her mouth to open as if she was going to scream, but nothing came out.

”Like she’d want to know about a bastard like you.” The exit seemed so close now. She had to think of something fast to get away from him or it would be too late once she passed out of the warehouse.

”Leave me alone!” Mind was working double time and most likely Chris would start to feel a pressure on his side trying to push him away from her. Juli didn’t realize she was doing anything though. She was still trying to figure out how to get away from him.

Her shouting caused a few people to stare at her for a moment.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 10:17 PM (GMT)
His hand swated at hers. "Stop it." The pressure at his side. Stop it before he starts weaving spells on you. He's done it before to Jehovah, and Lucifer, and probably the others too, he won't hesitate to do it to you too.

He pressed his lips against her ear. "If you shout like that again, I'll follow you home, and I'll take my daughter," he said 'my daughter' instead of 'your' or 'my granddaughter' to emphasize the point. "and you'll never see her again and you won't know what I'm doing to her. Your childhood will be bliss next to what I make hers."

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 10:25 PM (GMT)
Stop? Stop what? She wasn’t sure what he was talking about, but just thinking about it caused the pressure to release on his side. Face cringed as he brought his lips to her ear.

As he spoke of taking Chrissy and never knowing what he was doing to her, finally ended up breaking her and she started crying. He wouldn’t. If he even tried she would give one hell of a fight against him. There was no way he would take her with her still alive. Juli would have to be dead, which she had a funny feeling he wouldn’t mind doing that.

”Don’t.” She was trying not to cry, but she couldn’t help it. Not after the way he spoke about taking Chrissy away. She was the only reason that Juli went on in life, dealing with each day at a time with the hope of seeing Chrissy’s smile when she picked her up from school.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 10:34 PM (GMT)
Chrissy won't smile very much if Chris gets a hold of her. And really, Chris isn't a killer, the only two women he'd directly killed had both been accidents really, too much abuse true, but neither were meant to die. Two son's, Lucifer's brothers, had commited suicide. And one girlfriend had commited suicide last year. But he's not against fighting her until she was knocked out or even maybe dead. Hitting her to hard perhapes.

"Then maybe you'll stop being a bad girl and behave yourself. Listen to your father." He's degrading her by speaking to her like a child again. They're very near the door now.

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 10:41 PM (GMT)
She felt nearly broken down to a child again. All the things that he used to do to her suddenly popped into her head in flashes as he spoke to her like a child. Any idea of what to do was being flooded by panic at this point as the door neared. If she passed through it no doubt he would beat her again without hesitation. She couldn’t possibly go home with bruises. Chrissy would start in with the questions and Juli had always had a hard time lying to her child.

”Let go.” She was still trying to get his arm off of her shoulders and disappear into the crowd again. So what if she was being ‘bad’.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 10:46 PM (GMT)
"You have to go home to Christa sometime, Juli," he reminded her. And he would follow her. He really would. "Behave yourself." And he gave her shoulder a pinch and twisted the skin. That would be red, and probably bruise later. He gave an extra little push through the door. After all, he's always been rather strong, and since he got left with three fourteen year old brats, he's worked out more. He's got to stay stronger then them.

"Lets go to the park, shall we?" He's pushing her down the sidewalk now. Poor Juli.

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 10:54 PM (GMT)
”Leave her out of this.” She hated the way he talked about Chrissy. Like her life was nothing more than something else for him to beat and abuse. She made another motion to scream, but no sound came out of her mouth as he pinched and twisted skin.

And then they were out the door. Damn it.

”No. Let’s not go to the park.” Anything but the park. If he took her to the park she would have bad memories associated it from then on and then it would be the hardest thing to take Chrissy there anymore. Especially since the child was looking forward to going tomorrow. That’s if she got home by tomorrow. At this rate she wasn’t sure what he was going to do, but none of them were good.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 10:59 PM (GMT)
To him, her life and Christa's life were nothing but something else to beat and abuse and rape. To him, that's all they were there for. Especially since Juli was the only daughter of the three daughters he had that he'd found. He'd had Sarah but someone kidnapped the brat. Who the hell knew. And he had Tonic, Gin, and Moonshine. Three boys out of eight born and one girl out of three. And Christa.

"Oh? Then where should we go. The boys are at home. Maybe they'd like a show. Or maybe," he said it slowly, drawing out the words, still moving alond the sidewalk towards a parking lot. "Maybe you'd like to sit back and watch a show before we play?"

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 11:06 PM (GMT)
How about neither? That sounded good to her, but unfortunately it wasn’t an option. The idea of going to his house wasn’t appealing, but then she would know where it was and try and get these boys he kept talking about out and away from him. But then on the other hand she knew what ‘the show’ would be and she didn’t particularly want to see that either.

”How about you get the hell out of this city and leave us the hell alone?” She could always make up her own options. Unfortunately that didn’t sound as confident as she would have liked it to be. It was more shaky than anything.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 11:16 PM (GMT)
He wouldn't have really taken her to his house. He knows better then that.

"I believe you were the one that came into my town. If I recall correctly, Britian was your home." He stopped. At a car. And old Lincoln Town Car. It figures he's German so he drives an all American car doesn't it? He punched in the lock combonation to the key code and pushed her in the driver door, locked the doors, pushed her over and get in himself, starting the car.

He reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her into the center seat where, even if she can reach the passenger door it won't matter because he has a hold of her. "I think the park sounds nice and open." He was possibly cutting off half the circulation to her wrist. That'll probably bruise as well

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 11:23 PM (GMT)
”I came here to get you thrown in jail for what you’ve done.” Finally got out what she had planned to say all along, however it was nearly the way she planned to say it. In her head she had said it as a statement that she was going to get him thrown in jail. Right now it sounded like a pathetic attempt at a threat to get him to leave her alone.

He opened the door of the car and pushed her in. She did try to go for the passenger door, but his hand caught her wrist and pulled her back into the center of the car. It felt like he was going to squeeze her hand right off he was gripping so tightly.

”Please. Not the park.” She didn’t care where at this point. Just as long as it wasn’t the park. Well, anywhere but the park and her house. Of course he didn’t know where she lived which was a good thing.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 11:28 PM (GMT)
"Well, I've not heard that before. Do you think I'm afraid of the police?" He happened to know, because he kept tabs on most of his kids somehow, that his two, so far, most violent sons were police. It didn't frighten him in the slightest.

He pulled out of the parking lot and into the road. "What's so special about the Park, sweetheart, that you don't want to go there?" Sweetheart was said mockingly harsh. He wasn't really takeing her to the park, persay. Rather, a wooded area that one must go through the park to reach.

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 11:40 PM (GMT)
She wanted to say he should be, but for some reason it sounded really dumb to her so it definitely would to him.

”It’s not special.” Like she was going to say out right that it was where she took Chrissy on Saturdays. That would just make him start hanging out trying to find them.

”I don’t like the park.” What a fib. But she was pulling anything she could from an empty sleeve to make him change his mind.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 13, 2005 11:46 PM (GMT)
"Liar. You love the park. That's why you don't want to be there." He's not stupid, Juli. Just arrogant and mean. He drives the speed limit, with good skill, the police have never, ever had reason to check him out. He doesn't even have a speeding ticket or a late tax return to his name.

He let go of her wrist to grab her chin tightly and turn her head to face him. "Now, what's so special over there?"

foreverchanging - September 13, 2005 11:58 PM (GMT)
Well she could have hoped that he was stupid. He definitely wasn’t drunk enough. The alcohol was heavy on his breath, but he was far from being drunk. At least as drunk as he was when she was little.

He grabbed hold of her chin and turned her to face him. Emerald eyes looking him over before she spit in his face. She tried pulling herself away and towards the passenger side door. Just because the car was moving doesn’t she mean wasn’t desperate enough to jump from the car to get away.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 14, 2005 12:01 AM (GMT)
His hand didn't let go of her chin. He'd half expected it. That or to be slapped. He gripped her chin tighter and pulled his hand down, pulling her face down with it. He returned his eyes to the road and started to slow at a red light just as it turned green and he sped up again.

He tried, when he pulled her down by the chin, to hit her head against the dashborad.

foreverchanging - September 14, 2005 12:08 AM (GMT)
Her hands were still on his arm trying to pull it away from gripping her chin. And in one quick second there was pain in the side of her head as she hit it against the dashboard. That caused her hands to let go of his arm. The pain was her new focus. Lots of pain. A hand came up to grasp the side of her head that hurt now.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 14, 2005 12:12 AM (GMT)
"You don't learn do you?"

The car pulled along the curb and he parked it. (It's not his car. Which is exactly why it is American...he's not telling her that but really, he'd have never let her see his car, just like he'd never take her to his house.) He got out and grabbed her upper arm and pulled her out too.

Here we are, Juli, the park. "YOu scream, and Christa will scream for the rest of her short life." As I've said before, he's not really a killer, but he doesn't mind using the threat.

foreverchanging - September 14, 2005 12:21 AM (GMT)
She was still grasping her head when she felt the car stop. His hand grabbed her arm and she was forced out of the car. Hand finally fell away from her head as she realized where she was. No. Damn. Why did he always find the places that she liked most to create more bad memories?

His thread was good enough for her. She kept quiet, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t silently starting to cry again. She didn’t want to be out here, but if she dealt with it he wouldn’t hurt her child. The thought of moving already was seriously entering her mind. Why did she move here again? Oh yeah. To try and get him thrown in jail. Right now it sounded a lot better just to keep him out of her life. She should have stayed in Britain. You’re an idiot Juli.

”Don’t you touch her.” How many times have she said that so far? Enough, but it was all she could think to say when it came to Chrissy when he talked about her.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 14, 2005 12:33 AM (GMT)
He just laughed at her retrot again. He ignored her crying. She could cry all she wanted, the boys didn't seem to cry when he beat on them and that was a little less then satisfying really. Especially when the whimp of the three, Tonic, wouldn't even cry. Her crying was just a bonus. Her begging would be better.

He marches into the park and surpses the playground entirly. Even if he'd known that was her reason for not wanting to be here, he still would not have done anything here, it's too public. But he knows a place where he's brought girlfriends many times before, since he'd moved to Bayfield the first time.

He continued to march along, dragging her by her arm. Taunting her. "So what grade is she in now? I'm curious."

foreverchanging - September 14, 2005 12:37 AM (GMT)
She’s glad that he passes the playground, but she’s still not happy to be here. As they continue through the park she’s starting to wonder exactly where they are going. But that thought was soon dispersed as he brought up the subject of Christa again.

”I’m not telling you anything.” Voice rather hateful, but that evidence of fear still looming with each word. She still struggling against his pulling, trying to dig her feet in to the ground each time, but is only pulled forward again and again.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 14, 2005 12:49 AM (GMT)
He gave her a shake each time she tried to stop, even though the attempt at struggling was rather amusing, sort of like a sport. But he's too strong. He continues to pull her along with ease towards a dark patch of trees, some oaks but mostly low to the ground pine trees. Nice shelter. You can't even see beyond the first two layers of trees.

He enters the tree line, pulling her along, swings her sideways at one point to swing her towards the trunk of a tree.

"Aw. I don't even get to know about her?"

foreverchanging - September 14, 2005 01:00 AM (GMT)
Her back hit the tree as he swung her towards the trunk. Ouch. Now her back hurt along with her head.

”I’d rather die than tell you anything about her.” She said rather hateful at him. However looking past him it worried her that she couldn’t see the park because of the trees. Crap.

The Ultimate Lurker - September 14, 2005 01:05 AM (GMT)
"And leave her all alone and at my mercy?" He chuckled. "That can be aranged you know." His fist finds it's way on a path towards her stomach. This should all be so very firmiluar Juli.
