Title: Day off
Description: -open-

It was a hot day and for a treat Conner took Reagan to one of the many beaches to swim for a while since he didn’t have to work. He sat in the sand leaning back on his hands and legs bent towards him a bit as he watched her. Wearing nothing but a black pair of swim trunks his muscular tan body was shown off quite nicely; six pack, muscular arms and legs, definitely appealing to the eye. His ebony hair was spiked up and gelled like it usually was. Eyes never left watching his sister swim in the water and laughed a few times when she tried to fight against the tide.

Reagan had now been living with her half brother for a month and they were getting along surprisingly well. More often than not they got along with each other, bickering being few and far between. She wore a blue flowered print one piece swimsuit which went nicely with her brilliant sapphire blue eyes. Tight and bouncy curls were soaked and the curls loosened slightly with the weight of the water.

”Come on and swim!” She motioned with her hand for him to come and swim to.

”I’ve already done enough swimming. You wore me out.” He shouted and laughed back to her. Whether he wanted to admit it or not, his sister was definitely more in shape than him with all the practice and working out she had to do for gymnastics. He didn’t go running that much while she went every morning for at least three miles around the city.

”Fine.” She whined and then returned to swimming in the water.

Araceli had been out here because beaches were nice places to pick up pretty little boy-toys. Playthings, if you will. It was hot and she of course wasn't wearing much of anything. She was wearing a black bikini that fit nicely and showed off her completely tanned body, the thing so small it looked like it could fall off at any moment. Her wavy hair was neat with not a hair out of place (as always) and her hazel eyes were looking out at the beach and all of the men on it. Most of them weren't worth looking at but a few she stopped and smiled at.

She walked with a confident stride through the warm sand in her bare feet, her hips swaying on purpose.

Then she stopped. Handsome man.

Oh. She smiled. One of her handsome men!

"Hey, honey!" She called out to him. What was his name again... hm.. Oh, that's right. "Conner!"

He turned when he heard his name being called out to find Araceli walking down the beach in one of the skimpiest bathing suits he’d ever seen. It made him blush a bit, but he waved back politely.

”Hey!” He said with a huge smile showing off his straight white teeth. Body was actually a bit sweaty at this point since he’d been sitting in the sun for so long which made his body glisten. Definitely drool worthy.

Reagan had not noticed that the woman had came by yet as she was entertaining herself with a sand crab underneath the waves.

”How have you been? It’s been a while since I last saw you.”

If Araceli weren't used to having such beautiful men waiting on her hand and foot, she'd probably be drooling by now. She licked her lips though and soon smiled back.

"Hey. You remember me from the coffee shop, no? You were the one with the adorable little girl?" Ha. So flattering to someone she doesn't even like.

"I've been great. How about you?"

He laughed at the comment about his little sister. ”Yeah. She wanted to come swim for a while.” Head turned to look out into the water to find the ‘adorable little girl’ swimming and seemingly looking at something underneath the water’s surface.

”I’ve been doing okay. First day off from work though in a while.” Conner pushed himself into a better sitting position so he didn’t have to lean on his arms and rested them on his knees lazily.

”Do you have a job? I don’t believe I found out much about you at the coffee shop. It was a rather busy day for us.”

"Day off?" She contemplated sitting beside Conner as she sauntered up to him, but that would make her bathing suit all sandy. ...Ew. "Well, lovely place to spend it. You're not swimming?" Because guys who swim are unbelievably hot.

She dug her toes in the sand. "Oh, hm? Of course I do. I'm actually a writer for the Bayfield paper. What about you?"

foreverchanging - August 29, 2005 07:59 PM (GMT)
”Yeah. I took one off. First time I’ve ever done so since I need the money most of the time. Needed to get away for a bit though.” He said shrugging his shoulders.

”I was swimming earlier. Reagan wanted me to come in a minute ago, but I told her not right now. Perhaps in a little while.” He said smiling as he looked up at her. A hand was brought up to shield his eyes from the sun as he looked up.

”A writer? That’s interesting. Don’t know many writers.”

"Aah, I see. Needed one, hm? Breaks are always nice, though." She said with a gentle nod. This innocence thing was just such an easy part to play for Araceli. She smiled.

"Oh, I missed ya, huh? That's too bad."

She nodded and chuckled a little to herself.

It made him blush slightly at her comment. You’d think he’d never gotten a compliment before how much he blushed around women when the complemented him in some way. He chuckled though and scratched the back of his head like he normally does when he gets a bit nervous, embarrassed or puzzled.

Reagan finally got sight that the woman from the coffee shop had arrived. Nose wrinkled in protest of this new development. It was supposed to be a day for her and Conner to do stuff since he was always working and she was practicing.

”Come on Conner. Come swim.” She shouted again as she cupped her hands around her mouth to project it.

Conner turned to his sister when he heard her shout at him. Gaze turned back to Araceli. ”Want to swim?”

She thought of making a nasty face back at Reagan or casting a glamour that made Conner's little sister look deformed in some way, but it was too early in the game to do so. It was something to look forward to at least.

"Yeah! C'mon Conner, let's swim." Big grin.

(Sorry it took so long and was so crappy.)

”Alright, alright. I’ll swim.” He let out a sigh and then got up, swatting away the sand on his butt where he had been sitting. Walking down to the water’s edge he looked back to make sure if Araceli was coming. If he had to go in the water, she had to also. At least that’s what he presumed.

--

Reagan’s eyes never left the woman as her brother came to the water and dived head first once in water up to his knees. It was surprising his black hair remained spiked. How much gel did he put in it anyways? When his head resurfaced she splashed water at him and then took off underneath the water before he could return the ‘favor’.

--

After he got the salt water out of his eyes he turned to see where Araceli was.
