Title: What Secrets Does The Night Hold
Description: -Reserved for Kerri-

oneofmanysouls - August 23, 2005 11:30 PM (GMT)
It was yet another day. Another night actually. Night had fallen once more. Enyo had risen and changed out of her ‘day’ clothes. Day clothes for Enyo is equivalent to what mortals call their night clothes. Sleep wear to be even more specific. She’d gotten up, showered and gotten dressed. Tonight she is wearing a light grey dress that is neither too tight nor too baggy. It still very much shows off all of her feminine curves. Yes. Enyo is quite the stunning thing to look at if one is wanting to look at her in such a way.

Anyway, back to the point. She pulled her hair back in a french braid tonight. For some reason, she didn’t want to be bothered with it trailing around her for the time being. She’d ‘eaten’ well the previous night and thus did not feel the need to do so tonight. Instead she would go and do what she normally did. Wander around. Take in the sights. While she wandered, she found herself in a cemetery that she’d not recalled having seen before. That would be where she is at the moment. Wandering slowly through the cemetery looking at the various headstones for no particular reason at all over than to pass the night away.

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 12:17 AM (GMT)
Cheddar was brooding among the headstones. He brooded in silence among the graves of children. The more neglected ones, he dusted of and tidied up. His own small son had no grave. Most of Ashleigh's corporeal remains lived on in another person, what little of the boy the mage could not use had been incinerated by magic. Ahes to ashes.......Dust to dust....

He was already very drunk, in spite of avoiding the bars this night. He had a great deal of wine to drink before leaving the house. He stood from where he had stooped to clear of a grave marker. As he did so he felt what he should not be feeling......he looked at the slight figure moving among the plots in the older section of the cemetary. This was a curious thing.

He approached slowly, he could smell what she was, a vampire.....and at some point in the recent past she had fed on the very person he was looking for. His heart beat harder in his chest, he refused to yet believe that meant he had failed. The woman must still be alive some where, what she had been made was quite resiliant. He would not believe a vampire younger than he was could have destroyed her with out taking grave damage.

"I have questions." he said to her simply in his low voice. His words sounded unearthly, but not in an uncomfortable way. When he is drunk he forgets to school his voice, which has the power to uninhibit......

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 12:30 AM (GMT)
She’d heard him long before she’d seen him. She could hear him approaching. He turned ever so slowly until she was facing him. She seemed to know what he was without even having to ask. “So ask,” she said in her own soft and angelic sounding voice. She was not tense. She was not afraid. What ever will be, will be. “And I’ll answer if I can.”

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 12:35 AM (GMT)
His eyes black as pits looked at her, such a dainty seeming thing. "Tell me, about the mage woman." He said, it was not a commanding voice, it was much more like a plea. It sounded especially odd coming from a demon of Cheddar's impressive stature. Even beneath that duster his wings flexed with tension. He was eager for answers.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 12:39 AM (GMT)
Yes. She really does appear to be quite the dainty thing doesn’t she? Don’t let her size fool you though. When angered, she becomes the monster she believes herself to be.

Head tilted to the side slightly. “What mage woman?” she asked in return.

Had she already forgotten about the one that she had drank from? Well, not really. But partly, yes. That was only because she tried hard to keep the thoughts of the blood mage out of her mind. Otherwise, thoughts of her caused Enyo to start thinking about wanting to search her out again. No. That couldn’t happen. Enyo would not go down that path again.

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 12:48 AM (GMT)
The drunken demon gave a frustrated grunt. He knew so little about the woman he was looking for. He had not seen her as an adult and had only the vaguest memories of what the child had been like. By reputation the one he sought was a monster, but by reputation so was he. He was unable to articulate more on what he meant drunk.

His hand went to his face and he rubbed his head tiredly. "How can you not know of the blood within you, however weak it's power has grown since you fed.....?" he blurted from behind his hand. His voice while frustrated was weary.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 01:08 AM (GMT)
Her eyes widened slightly. “How... how do you know?" She was confused.

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 01:12 AM (GMT)
"Because I would know the smell of that blood anywhere......it is part mine." The demon answered in an almost hiss.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 01:31 AM (GMT)
She actually flinched slightly as he nearly hissed his answer. Yes. Enyo flinched. "I... It was an accident," she said in reply. "A terrible mistake."

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 01:37 AM (GMT)
"Did you kill her?" he snarled. He was getting angry. He leaned in close the reek of wine on his breath. He had to stop himself from laying hands on her, he knew nothing yet. It is the nature of a vampire to feed, he could not fault that, but if she had killed Vivienne he would be very upset.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 01:42 AM (GMT)
She very nearly gagged at the smell of the alcohol. She never could stomach even the smell of the stuff. It was disgusting and she never understood why anyone could stand the stuff. “No. Of course I didn’t,” she said as she took a step backwards away from him.

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 01:49 AM (GMT)
"I am sorry." He said softly, slightly ashamed to have jumped to conclusions. The demon took a deep breath and instantly relaxed. "I don't suppose you know where she is.....? " he asked sadly. She had nothing to fear from him now, Vivienne was alive.....somewhere.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 01:52 AM (GMT)
She stood there and blinked slightly as he apologized. Wow. She'd not expected that. "No. I don't. Not really," she answered truthfully. "I sometimes think I feel her 'watching' me but yet not really watching me. Does that make sense?"

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 01:59 AM (GMT)
His eyes seemed to light up. "A spell, m-m-may I touch you, t-to see if there is one?" he breathed. His voice quavered with excitement, he could use a spell, it would be so much easier to find her if there was even the tiniest one.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 02:02 AM (GMT)
Touch her? Touch her? Was he crazy?

"I... I guess so," she asnwered finally.

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 02:12 AM (GMT)
Very gently he took her hand. His own hand was warm. His eyes formed pupils points of light at the contact...."Well, well, well, spell, spell, spell. " He said a faint smile made his lips twitch and he exposed his fangs as it did. He released her hand gently. "Thank you, I think I can find her easily enough now." He said. When he smiled his dimples showed.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 02:14 AM (GMT)
Her hand was slightly warm. She'd fed well the previous night and so still had enough blood in her system to leave her feeling slightly warm. "Who are you? And why are you looking for her?" Blunt and to the point.

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 02:20 AM (GMT)
"Chezsmaldashar Beonowendor, and I have to find her, because of her magic.....I have to teach her something." the demon answered the vampire.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 02:24 AM (GMT)
She blinked. “Che...what?” His name stumped her. Quite a bit actually. She wasn’t even going to /try/ to say it. “Her magic? Why? I don’t understand.”

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 02:38 AM (GMT)
"I'd prefer it that way, Magic can be very sensative in some regards. I will not indulge a curriosity that could betray weaknesses. They call me Cheddar, it is easier to say." he answered her.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 02:46 AM (GMT)
She shrugged slightly. "Why does her blood have the affect on me that it has?"

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 02:49 AM (GMT)
"Well magical demon/angel hybrid blood should feel different from mortal blood I would think, not to mention the fact it's blood and death magic, and you are undead and blood feeding....." Cheddar said.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 03:51 AM (GMT)
"But why would it make me crave..." She paused for a moment trying to figure out how to word this without embarrassing herself. "Why would it make me go all lusty?" Did that make sense?

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 05:00 AM (GMT)
"Because of the blood magic, pain and sex can easily intertwine, the demon element likely adds to the lust more." The demon answered candidly.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 05:04 AM (GMT)
She signed and leaned her small butt back against one of the headstones. "It made me do something stupid. Something I can never take back. Made me say things." She sighed again.

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 05:07 AM (GMT)
"If it's any consolation it does things to her too, which is why I have to find her.....that should not have been done to her." the demon said.

"Walk with me? This place feeds my sorrows." He said to her softly offering his arm.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 05:14 AM (GMT)
She signed and pushed herself off the headstone to loop her arm in his. It was strange really. A vampire and a demon. “It made me hurt someone that I never meant to hurt,” she continued as she walked along with him. “I wish I could take that entire night and just make it go away.”

She barely glanced around as they walked towards the edge of the cemetery to leave the place. “How did you find me?”

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 05:19 AM (GMT)
"I didn't, not on purpose, I was here among the graves and you got close enough for me to be aware of the blood. Chance I suppose." He said as they moved from among the graves.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 05:21 AM (GMT)
"I see," she responded. "Okay then. So what brought you to the cemetery? Not too many usually hang out in places like that. You don't strike me as the type who usually does so."

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 05:30 AM (GMT)
"Call me morbid......my son has no grave.....sometimes....." the demon fell silent and did not finish again. Once more the alcohol robbed him of eloquence to do justice with words to his thoughts.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 02:02 PM (GMT)
She shrugged. “I really wouldn’t call you morbid. If you’re morbid then so are the rest of us who walk at night.”

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 04:17 PM (GMT)
The demon nodded then had to brush his bangs from his eyes. His thoughts were in two places at once, here listening to the vampire, and tracing the web of spells emmanating outward from a moving point. He would be able to find Vivienne now.
Progress on that front was good. For the time being though she was moving. He would have ot bide his time until she was in one place.

"Where should we go?" he asked softly, they seemed to be walking in no discernable direction, and as he asked he wondered did it even matter.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 04:22 PM (GMT)
She shrugged slightly again. "Anywhere is fine with me," she answered. "I just usually spend my nights wandering around the city taking in the sights. The cemeteries and the city park are the places I visit the most." She sighed softly before she continued. "I like to go to the park the most. I usually find myself wondering what it looks like during the daylight hours though."

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 04:39 PM (GMT)
" I hardly go out during the day anymore, someone might notice me. I rarely even fly now, someone might notice.......but I do want to sometimes......" The demon says wistfully.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 04:44 PM (GMT)
"At least you won't burst into flames and burn if you go out in the daylight," she said with a slight chuckle. A chuckle? Was it really funny? No. Not really actually. So why did she chuckle? Who knows.

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 04:58 PM (GMT)
"No it isn't even painful for me as it is for some demon ilk. I am no more prone to sunburn than a mortal. they wlked through a woodsy over grown lot now. The pale moon light barely filtered through the trees. Cheddar's eyes glowed only slightly. "were you simply walking then? Not out for a bite?" he asked curiously.

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 05:01 PM (GMT)
"A bute?" she asked curiously. "Yes. I was just simply out walking. Not much else to do around here really. I don't go to the clubs. The stench makes me feel sick to my stomach."

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 05:07 PM (GMT)
((forgive typo which I fixed))

"It doesn't smell when you drink so much that all you can smell is your own reeking breath, not that I recomend it for everyone. I couldn't go tonight though.....my heart was too heavy." he said in soft tones. "Do you not get lonely then?"

oneofmanysouls - August 24, 2005 05:11 PM (GMT)
((Ooooh! lmao It's ok.))

She shook her head slightly. "No. I'm not out for a bite," she finally answered.

"Having sentive senses such as I do, I was never even able to bring myself to bite someone who had been drinking." She sighed softly as she continued listening to him. "Yes. I do. Quite lonely. To live an eternity with very few to call a friend does indeed make one feel quite lonely indeed."

K-Squared - August 24, 2005 05:42 PM (GMT)
"Sounds like Demon Exile.....Ah there is the park up ahead." he pointed. Why was it he had such a knack for awkward converstaion lately. "Talk to me please, I am too drunk to be a good converstaionalist this night, I am sorry."
