Callie had finally reached Elm Street. Charlie’s place was just down the other end of the street. Too bad luck was not with the girl today. All of a sudden she’s jolted backwards as a hand reaches out and grabs hers. Turning around eyes grew wide as she was staring at the one person she never thought to see out on the streets again. Fear was evident in her large eyes as her mother glared at her.
”Going somewhere?” She asks inquisitively yet purely terrifying to the girl. ”You’re coming with me.” The grip on her hand grew tighter and she cringed but made no sound as her mother led her back down the way she just came instead of heading towards the antique shop. She looked back at the direction of Charlie’s place pleadingly, praying for him to come out and miraculously see her but there was no miracles happening today.
Making a detour the woman dragged Callie through one of the ally ways and used them while they headed through the streets so they would not attract as much attention. She was crying by this point but couldn’t do anything about the situation. At one point she made a bold move and managed to slip her hand out of her mother’s grasp and started running back towards Elm Street. However the motion was only in vain as her mother smacked her down against the pavement. Head hit hard against the pavement and knees scraped.
”Don’t even think about it.” Her head was bleeding slightly now as well as the scrapes on her knees. Getting her up off the ground, her mother grabs hold of her hand again and continues heading away from the city. Finally the reached the very end and to the woods where Callie had a horrible feeling welling up in her stomach when they went right passed the cabin. This was not going to end well.
