Description: Open.

Arcane Blood - August 7, 2005 08:57 PM (GMT)
Light flooded through the rather large windows of the coffee shop, the small place brimming and perhaps overflowing with light, much to the dismay of some and much to the pleasure of others. It's in the middle of the day, and it's hot outside.

She's standing around in line, of all things. Araceli shouldn't have to stand around in line, especially not with those black stilettos of hers. She's wearing one of those dresses that give you an eyeful of things you shouldn't see, a Spanish black dress that clings nicely to her curves without being too tight... and of all things, it has tassles.

She doesn't have make-up on, nor glamours (except over her ears) and she doesn't need them. Her naturally tanned skin is healthy and virtually flawless, her hair in a bunch of curls which look natural, coming about the length of her shoulders and not a hair out of place.

Her hazel eyes look almost golden in this light, wide and beautiful.

The line is fairly long, and she's standing somewhere in the middle of it. She's tempted to just cut ahead of everyone else, regardless of the fact it wouldn't be lady-like.

Yaaaaaaawwnnnn. She's eying some men in back of her that actually look quite hot. Maybe she could get one of them to get her coffee for her, or perhaps watch them fight over which one got her the drink.

((Ack. I gave in. lol))

Conner would be a guy that definitely was appealing to the eye in the back of the line. However the girl standing next to him that was a bit wound up could be a problem for anyone that might be checking him out. Standing at 6’1” his 5’3” fifteen year old sister looked like a twelve year old that had ice cream and soda pop for breakfast.

”No. You don’t need anymore coffee, your getting milk with your muffin.” He was quite the eye catcher. It was a hot day outside so his white long sleeved button down shirt had its sleeves rolled up and it was left unbuttoned exposing his rock hard abs, a ‘six pack’ if you will, from all working out he did. Baggy jeans were held up with a brown belt and brown Docker shoes were on his feet. Arms were quite muscular as well. Black hair was spiked up with gel as always and hazel eyes kept looking over the heads of people to see how long the line was.

Reagan looked rather grumpy now with the idea of being stuck with milk rather than coffee. Her brother was cutting her off and it did nothing to make her look happy. A wrinkle nosed expressed her distaste. She had practically lived off coffee back in Ireland and now he was telling her she couldn’t have any more for the day.

She was wearing a Yellow frilled mini skirt and a white tank top with sunflowers on the front. Yellow thong sandals were on her feet. Short, tight black curls bounced on her head slightly every time she moved. The sun was shining bright that day which was bringing out her freckles even more on her nose and cheeks.

”If I can’t have coffee then you can’t either.” She stated rather stubbornly. He rolled his eyes and looked to the ceiling. She had only been living with him for three days and already they acted as if they had grown up with one another.

”Fine. I’ll get milk to.” And she gave a triumphant smile as she looked back up the line.

Arcane Blood - August 8, 2005 09:59 PM (GMT)
Ooooooou. Araceli smiled as he leaned a little to one side, eying up Conner. He was tall enough, certainly handsome, and had hazel eyes. Check, check, and check. Also, that six pack was a major plus for her.

Her smile was warm, kind, gentle... everything she was not. The line moved again for the second time while the young Spanish woman (elf, really) checked out the figure skater and what appeared to be some sort of... spawn of parents. She hoped it wasn't his monstrous little... thing.

"Hey honey," she cooed to her current object of attention, "care to come up here?" In other words, cut ahead of her. No, she's not being nice, she's just letting him have a spot in front of her so she can catch an eyeful of his rear end.

foreverchanging - August 8, 2005 10:16 PM (GMT)
When she spoke at him for a moment he turned behind him to see if she wasn’t talking to someone else that she might know. He pointed to himself with a puzzled expression on his face first. Finally realizing indeed he was the one she was talking to he quietly slipped up the line and stood in front of her.

”Thanks.” He smiled big with the ‘kind’ gesture. Reagan was leeching on to his hand as she followed behind him up the line. Unnaturally blue eyes looked the woman over for a moment before returning to looking up the line. At least they weren’t so far back now.

After a moment of looking up at he counter he turned back to the woman who ‘generously’ let them cut. ”So why did ya’ let us cut lass? If I were you I would be excited to be almost to the front.” His rich Irish accent was evident as he spoke, hiding no secrets as to what his heritage was.

Arcane Blood - August 8, 2005 10:47 PM (GMT)
Major plus. Accents were hot, especially cute little Irish ones. Pat yourself on the back, Araceli. You've done good.

Big, full smile, revealing straight white teeth, flawless. "I'm not allowed to be nice?" She asked, tones sweet and rich much like milk chocolate. She was subtly eyeing his back and down some more.

She already liked this guy.

"I can be patient."

foreverchanging - August 8, 2005 10:54 PM (GMT)
He let out a soft chuckle as he scratched the back of his head. ”I guess you can and I appreciate it.” The line moved some more and they stepped closer to the register. It really was a busy day. Reagan looked rather perturbed next to him the closer they got.

”Why can’t I get a coffee? I have it every day.” He looked down at her with a disgruntled look on his face. ”I told ya. You ‘ave already had three this mornin’. No more caffeine.” She let go of his hand and crossed her arms in front of her chest.

Arcane Blood - August 9, 2005 01:19 PM (GMT)
"Yeah, don't mention it." Still a smile and that sickeningly sweet voice of hers, showing the fact that she could probably be a singer if she wanted to be.

Now she smiled more gently, "she yours, honey?" Pet names for everyone, not just men. It's because people might get suspicious or something. It became a habit over time anyway.

foreverchanging - August 9, 2005 03:07 PM (GMT)
For a moment his had sort of a stunned expression on it as he looked down at Reagan. His? She had the same puzzled look on her face. It made him laugh out loud.

”O’ no. She’s me half-sister. Just came over from back home a few day’s ago.” He had a silly grin on his face and Reagan rolled her eyes. An ‘ahem’ was made as he cleared his throat and moved forward again with the line.

”Wha’ ‘bout you? Have siblings that get on ye’ nerves?” It was followed with a hit in the side with Reagan’s elbow.

Arcane Blood - August 11, 2005 12:35 AM (GMT)
"Oh no, no." She couldn't be bothered to grow up with those pesky, monstrous things called siblings. But she wouldn't say that. "I grew up alone, actually." Her tone was almost tinged with sadness. "My parents died and I grew up with my aunt." So that was almost true, except her parents hadn't died. But she didn't actually even know that.

A smile lingered on her face, coated over with a slight tone of sadness to it. Fake sadness, too. Pity.

foreverchanging - August 11, 2005 01:22 AM (GMT)
His eyebrows furrowed to hear that her parents had died and she had no siblings. ”I’m sorry to hear tha’.” Of course she didn’t know she was playing the pity rather than actually feeling sad.

”Hey. Where at the counter.” Reagan said getting his attention. He turned around and found himself standing at the counter. He ordered two milks and two of the rather large blueberry muffins before turning around to the woman that had let them cut.

”Did ya want to order somethin’? It’s on me.” He smiled at her.

Arcane Blood - August 12, 2005 02:50 AM (GMT)
"Oh, it's okay. I've had a long time to get used to it." Most people would glance at her and wonder if twenty-five years really was enough time. But oh no, she'd had more than a hundred years to get used to it. It wasn't as if she'd cared in the first place. But she played the 'nice girl' act so perfectly.

"Aww? You'd do that for me? How seet. You don't have to." But you should, Conner.

foreverchanging - August 12, 2005 03:23 AM (GMT)
”Yea’ but I want to.” He said smiling at her. Reagan was obviously a bit anxious to get what they had ordered and wished this woman would just hurry up and order instead of playing coy. Yes, Reagan knew the signs. She was a girl after all.

Arcane Blood - August 12, 2005 04:22 AM (GMT)
"If you insist." Still a very sweet smile. "uhm, just a coffee with sugar and cream." Nothing too complicated, right? No sense in confusing the poor little dear.

foreverchanging - August 12, 2005 03:53 PM (GMT)
He paid for their stuff as well as the woman’s coffee. Pointing to a table to sit down at, Reagan when and sat down while Conner just pulled to the side of the line so he wouldn’t be in the way of the other waiting customers and looked at Araceli.

”You have ta go or ar’ ya sittin’ around here fer a while?” Basically he was asking if she wanted to come sit down with him and Reagan if she didn’t have to leave right away.

Arcane Blood - August 12, 2005 05:08 PM (GMT)
Araceli pulled to the side as well. "I'm sitting around here for a while, sweets. I don't have anything else to do." She sounded so nice! It was nearly inconceivable how she could be homocidal. Then again, looks (and personalities, in this case) can be frighteningly deceiving.

foreverchanging - August 12, 2005 05:18 PM (GMT)
He blushed when she called him sweet. Conner wasn’t very good around women in his opinion. ”You could join us if ya like.” He said pointing to there table and then walking over to it and sitting down beside Reagan and starting to drink his milk.

Arcane Blood - August 13, 2005 04:02 PM (GMT)
"Oh, that'd be delightful." Her heels clicked against the floor as she walked over to the table Conner had been pointing at.

"So, got a name, or should I just keep calling you honey?"

foreverchanging - August 13, 2005 04:07 PM (GMT)
”Oh dear. Me apologies lass. The names Conner and this here is Reagan.” He says wrapping his arm around his sister’s shoulder. She was already done with her muffin and finished up her milk. ”What’s yer name?” He asked back.

Arcane Blood - August 13, 2005 10:09 PM (GMT)
"Pleased to meet you Conner and Reagan." A gentle nod towards Reagan and a rather polite smile, her gaze though mainly concentrated on Conner. "Araceli Belmonte." Writer for the Bayfield paper, don'cha know. "Do you live around here?"

foreverchanging - August 14, 2005 05:47 AM (GMT)
Reagan had already decided she didn’t like this woman but kept it to herself as Conner was interested. Of course he was, because he was too dumb to realize when a woman was just playing with him. She really had to teach him a thing or two.

”Pleasure to meet ya.” Conner smiled at her as he spoke. ”Yea. We live ‘round here just a couple blocks north in an apartment complex. What ‘bout you?” He took a drink of his milk.

Arcane Blood - August 14, 2005 05:46 PM (GMT)
"Oh, how nice. Cozy little places up in this area, hm? I don't think we live too far away from each other." A pleased little smile, almost like a cat who's laying around in the sun.

She took a sip of her coffee finally.

"So, what brings you to Bayfield?"

foreverchanging - August 14, 2005 06:06 PM (GMT)
”Yes, quite cozy and that’s interestin’ that we may live so close. Never seen ya before.” He took a bite of his muffin before answering her next question.

”Came here four years ago to study at the university. Plus there is a trainer here that is well known and I was waitin’ to be able to train with him.”

Arcane Blood - August 14, 2005 07:24 PM (GMT)
"Yeah. Perhaps there's a possibility we could run into each other again, hm?"

Slow sip of coffee. Intriqued, she raised an eyebrow. "Study at Keaton and a train? For what? Oh, do tell."

foreverchanging - August 14, 2005 07:38 PM (GMT)
”Yeah. Perhaps.” Conner smiled. Needless to say Reagan was thoroughly bored at this point with the idle chit chat of this woman. She had to get to practice soon anyways.

”Oh. Well I’m a figure skater. Came here to hopefully get better. Almost went to the Olympics actually.” He said laughing.

Arcane Blood - August 14, 2005 08:16 PM (GMT)
"A figure skater?" She sounded impressed. She was impressed. How about you do a little spin for me, Conner?

Wow, honey. The olympics?"

foreverchanging - August 14, 2005 08:43 PM (GMT)
”Yeah. Would have gone, but I had family complications occur. Me twin brother accidentally cut his leg coming down from a triple toe loop so he had to have surgery. I opted to stay home and help it while he recovered rather than going.” He shrugged. Most people would probably have gone anyways, but he wasn’t about to leave his brother like that.

Arcane Blood - August 14, 2005 11:11 PM (GMT)
"You didn't go?" She cocked her head a little bit, looking questioningly at him before she nodded in understanding. "Oh, I see. How sweet of you. Most people would've gone."

Ooou, does she have a softie on her hands?

foreverchanging - August 14, 2005 11:39 PM (GMT)
”Yeah. Oh well. Win some ya lose some.” He shrugged and looked at his watch on his wrist. Reagan picked up this gesture and finally commented.

”Conner I’m going to be late if you don’t hurry up and eat already.” She nudging him in the side.

”We still got a wee bit of time to kill.” Sure he was going to push it but he was fine where he was at the moment.

Reagan just crossed her arms in front of her again and looked rather put out by this point.

Arcane Blood - August 15, 2005 12:03 AM (GMT)
She nodded slowly.

"You're going to be late? Oh my. You'd better hurry, then. Don't let me keep you from your... duties, or whatever it is you must do." A sweet smile. She really would be nice if she weren't simply pretending.

foreverchanging - August 15, 2005 12:11 AM (GMT)
She actually shot a glare to the woman that Conner was not witness to.

”Fine fine. I better get her to practice then. Perhaps I’ll see ya ‘round here another day.” With that he finished off his milk and then stood up. Reagan was pushing him to move faster as he put his trash in the trashcan and then they walked out of the establishment.
