Sitting outside on a desert bus bench was a small girl dressed in all white; white overalls, white t-shirt, white Adidas tennis shoes. Though it may have been all white clothing, it was top of the line for clothing as Gregory would spend nothing less on his most prized ‘possession’. Whitish-blonde hair flowed freely down her back until just a half foot below her shoulders, deep blue eyes were not looking to the street but back at the theater entrance with a hopeful expression; all in all she was quite a beautiful child.

Alyssa was staring at the theater entrance hoping the show would be over soon. Gregory had actually gone to see the show in the prospects of meeting possible wealthy clients in the future. Never an action done without the motive of gaining money behind it. The greedy bastard.

Turning back around on the lonely bench she slumped against the back of the bench and leaned her head back, staring up at the dark starry sky. It was ten at night; the dark street would not be a place one would find a child at the age of twelve to be out on alone on. However she had no choice. She would have been glad to finally be out of his hawk like gaze for once if it had been somewhere else and rather mid day than night. Since the incident in the park Gregory had been more lenient of letting her out of his sight even though he could not remember what had happened. He had this feeling that he should be more wary around the child now.

Fiddling with a new golden necklace, which was rather expensive as well, that was carrying the charm of the letter ‘A’ and each point on the letter was encrusted with a rather beautiful diamond, the girl stared up at the sky with a rather bored look on her face.

Wally was in town again visiting friends after a gig in a nearby city. As was typrical he'd flown in his plane and rented a car. The car at the moment was parked behind the theatre while he waited for the shwo to end. He had promised to pick up a friend here after the show and visit with her for a while.

Because he's going to be picking up a female friend, his pants are belted at the apropriate level on his waist ths evening. His Tommy jeans are still baggy in spite of not sagging. He's wearing some very expensive Nautica shoes and a baggy Nautica sweater, in bright yellow. He as usual sports a ridiculous ammount of "bling" and two large diamond studs, one in each ear. Tonight he does not have on his black tobogan rather he is wearing a Nike visor upside down and backwards.

"What up little G?" he asks the child. It is a strange place and time to find a little girl alone.

foreverchanging - August 5, 2005 11:59 PM (GMT)
The sudden appearance and speech of another makes her jump momentarily. She wasn’t expecting anyone else to come by. The girl stares at the man for a moment and blinks every now and again in puzzlement. Little G? Looking around her to see if anyone else besides her might have actually shown up out of nowhere she finds that she is indeed the only one around that he could possibly be talking to. Already she has stopped fiddling with her necklace and kind of scoots in the opposite direction of the man.

”The Sky.” She responds to the ‘What’s up?’ phrase for she has never heard it before. Obviously only the sky and atmosphere is above them. Could he not see that?

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 12:02 AM (GMT)
Wally grins, a large amused grin, it shows his dimple in his right cheek and his gold capped teeth( fakes). "No girl, wich you."He says. He likes her already she's funny, Wally loves funny people.

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 12:07 AM (GMT)
Which you? She was pretty sure there was only one her and his large grin was obviously making her even more puzzled at the moment. Looking back at the theater entrance she hopes the show is over soon as she doesn’t know what this guy wants. Alyssa had never been good around strangers before and since she wasn’t supposed to talk it was hard for her to try and consider any descent conversation with him.

”There’s only one me.” Needless to say she doesn’t get out much or keep up on the ‘lingo’. That’s what happens when you are only in school for a year and a half. Gregory didn’t bother giving her schooling. He needed her there with him at the hospital all the time. One eyebrow was raised showing her obvious confusement.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 12:11 AM (GMT)
"Girl are you testin me? F'real, or do you know what I'm saying?" he asks wondering now, perhaps she's not allowed to watch MTV afterall. His face is not split in a grin now, instead it hasa puzzled but curious look. "I'm asking you what's going on that you're out here alone, so late....." he shakes his head.....he must seem ridiculous to her.

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 12:15 AM (GMT)
Needless to say she has a look of fright on her face now as his smile goes away and he asks if she’s testing him. Testing him? She didn’t even know she was throwing a quiz. He was the one talking all weird. The girl scoots just a little further down the bench away from him but never takes off her increasingly worried eyes from his bulky form. Her head shook to say no when he asked if she knew what he was saying.

Finger points to the theater as he asks why she’s out so late and all alone. That would be Gregory and she states so by pointing. However she doubted he would pick up on the tip, but she had a hard enough time speaking enough to a stranger to get her point across.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 12:18 AM (GMT)
"You waiting on the show to end too then? I think I dig....uhm I mean understand. " he tells her smiling again. He shakes his head. So she hadn't understood him. He notices her necklace. "Nice Bling." he tells her and he shows her his big gold "W" charm.

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 12:22 AM (GMT)
Once again she nods to say that she is waiting on the show. Her eyes still never leave him. His strange ‘lingo’ puzzled and yet made her curious at the same time. The things he said she had never heard before in her entire life and it actually made her crack a slight smile at the strange guy.

Looking down at her necklace she pulls it away from her chest holding it and then stares at his necklace. Bling? What the heck was bling? Was that what he called the necklace? Guess so as that was what he was looking at and then showing his own necklace.

”Thanks.” She squeaks out with her almost whispering voice.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 12:26 AM (GMT)
Seeing her look of confusion he explains, "Bling is big jewelery, big expensive jewlery most of the time. You're decked out from head to toe in expensive Addidas clothing and you don't know this, You're a deprived child." he chuckles.

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 12:31 AM (GMT)
Yes she is deprived. The saddest thing though is that she doesn’t realize she is deprived. Most would think she wasn’t with the kind of clothing and house she has, but she most definitely is deprived in the fun department. Though he chuckles she doesn’t laugh back rather just stares at him with that patheticly small smile on her face.

”I don’t like ‘bling’.” She stated more as if she doesn’t care how much she has or not. She’d trade it all in for a decent family and fun.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 12:35 AM (GMT)
"Hmmm a pretty little girl that don't like bling, that's not something you find a lot of." He says. There is something odd about this girl, why is she out here, well dressed and not well cared for. Something aboutthis really perplexes him. She shouldn't be out here. "Why have you been left out here to wait alone, that ain't right."

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 12:40 AM (GMT)
She wouldn’t know if there were a lot like her or not; sheltered life and all, first with her parents and then with Gregory. The idea of getting out and doing things was not an option for most of her life.

”He’s on business.” Gaze looks back to the entrance once again. Yeah he’s on business. Business to find wealthy old people that might need his ‘miracle cure’.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 12:43 AM (GMT)
"Messed up, business that requires you to leave your youngin out like that, decent folks hire a sitter. How old are you anyway? ANd you waiting for your daddy, cause I on't think a momma would leave you out here, but I might be wrong."

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 12:50 AM (GMT)
That was a lot of questions to ask the poor girl who never spoke to anyone. It made her heart beat just a little faster as she tried to figure out what she should say or if she should say anything at all.

”Twelve.” Okay. That took care of one question. Age was the easier answer. It was precise, definite and no lying was necessary. She hated to lie. No more was spoken from the child as she wasn’t sure how to respond to the ‘daddy’ question without lying or spilling more than Gregory would care for her to say. She already told enough to Zoe and was lucky to get away with it. She doubted she could get away with telling anymore people about the situation without Gregory starting to find out.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 12:52 AM (GMT)
"You definitely should not be out here alone then. I'll sit here till someone comes out after you. The world is full of all kinda freaks." he said. His date would understand if she didn't intervene herself.

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 12:58 AM (GMT)
Yeah. And Ally unfortunately was unknowingly one of those freaks. A rather dangerous one at that. However she had no say in the matter and the entity remained quiet and subdued most of the time. It was only on rare occasions did it decide to speak up where Ally lacked confidence and she didn’t like what she was witnessing.

”Like what?” She was asking about what kind of freaks of course. Learning would keep her attention and keep her busy while time seemed to move slowly.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 01:02 AM (GMT)
"Like people that steal pretty little girls. Bad people." He said sadly. It wasn't really a topic the comedian felt like getting into with a 12 year old girl. He looked at his watch. "It should be done in about fifteen minutes. Someone is coming to meet you, right?"

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 01:07 AM (GMT)
Her eyes grew wide for a moment. Wally would probably think he said something that frightened her, but what worried her more was that had already happened to her. Gregory had snatched her, only she had been seven instead of twelve. Did that mean Gregory was bad? He wasn’t as bad as her parents’ abuse wise, but he still kept her to himself and not let her go anywhere. Gregory couldn’t be as bad as her parents’ right? Her eyebrows had furrowed giving her a worried and saddened look thinking about it. It caused her to look away from his eyes and stare down at the ground.

”Yes.” Someone was. Her ‘snatcher’. But could he really be her snatcher if she had nobody to be snatched from? It definitely was a difficult subject for her mind to process.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 01:11 AM (GMT)
"That's good. Though you should'nt be out here anyway, not alone. So like I said I'll sit. where you go to school?" He asked in seemed inoculous enough as a question.

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 01:15 AM (GMT)
Geez. Not another question. How was she supposed to say she didn’t go to school? That would only raise more questions obviously and she was already having a hard enough time talking to him. In fact she shouldn’t be talking to him at all, but she was. Lucky for Wally. Most likely bad for her in the end.

”I…” She hesitated as she looked back up at him. Finally she decided to change the subject. ”I shouldn’t be talking to a stranger.” She actually spoke it rather defiantly as she turned away from him and looked back at the theater entrance.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 01:19 AM (GMT)
"You'e right, you shouldn't but yous houldn't be left all on your won so's you migh hafta. " Wally said and stopped asking her questions. He looked at his watch again. Perhaps another ten minutes remained until the show ended.

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 01:24 AM (GMT)
She kept her gaze on the door as he spoke. Small hands had come to grip onto the back of the bench and she rested her chin upon them. She looked like an obedient puppy waiting for their master to come home. They sat in an awkward silence for a few moments before she looked back at him.

”Who are you waiting for?” Curiosity got the better of her at the moment.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 01:33 AM (GMT)
"I promised I'd pick my friend up, I didn't want to see the show with her, we'll go do something else when she'd done here." he answered. He wasn't about to elaborate on the sort of plans they had after the show. Twelve year olds don't need to know about some things.

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 01:36 AM (GMT)
”A friend?” Obviously she had not had that concept before. Since she couldn’t remember what had happened to her before she was seven, she didn’t realize she’d made a few before memory decided to be deflected away from her current knowledge. In fact her memory so easily erased the worse acts she’d done that she was starting to forget what she had done to Gregory in the park already. Of course the entity had something to do with that. The last thing the spirit needed was for her to know the presence had merged into her.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 03:17 AM (GMT)
" You don't heve friends, have sleep overs, go to the mall, play in the park, with other kids?" he asked incredulously. There was something naggnly suspicious about this.

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 03:20 AM (GMT)
She shook her head no and just blinked. Chin no longer rested on her hands but she was looking back at him now. Debating over it for a moment, she finally decided to turn back around and face him. Lifting her legs, she rested her feet on the bench and hugged her arms around her legs, head leaning against the top of the bench.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 03:23 AM (GMT)
"Deprived, f'real. I don't think I've heard anything so sad in a long time. Why not?" he asked. He looked sad while he asked, terribly sad. What sort of empty child hood did this poor girl have?

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 03:25 AM (GMT)
Because Gregory is an overbearing protective bastard that likes to keep his possession in check, that’s why. Eyes darted about his face for a moment as if studying him before she just shrugged like she didn’t know why she didn’t have any friends. But she did know why, but that didn’t mean she was going to tell him that. In fact, she still didn’t even know his name. However she wasn’t about to ask for it at the moment.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 03:38 AM (GMT)
Then suddenly the theatre doors opened and people were coming out, in throngs, gaggles, clusters, pairs.....and making their way to cars.

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 03:45 AM (GMT)
As soon as people started filtering out from the theater Ally stood up immediately and walked away from Wally so it didn’t look like she had been conversing with him. Eyes were wide and semi fearful as she looked for Gregory in the crowd of people.

And then she spotted him. He was smiling and talking with a rather elderly man in a nice suit. It was apparent that he had found somebody to scam. Seeing her out of the corner of his eye he points her out to the fellow who proceeds to wave at her. She just stands there until Gregory gives her a glare and she finally waves back with a forced smile on her face. Gregory went back to smiling and talking to the man for a few more minutes. Alyssa was trying hard not to look back over at Wally and see if he could see his friend or what he was doing.

Then Gregory walked away from the man who was now talking to someone else and came towards her. He bent down next to her so he could look her in the eye and grabbed hold of her arm rather tightly. She did not squirm and tried desperately not to flinch.

”Next time wave when a customer waves back.” He whispered so it was barely audible to anyone else around them. She nodded quickly to show she understood. To anyone else it just looked like a parent scolding there child, but she knew better. People could be so ignorant.

His hand slid down her arm to grab hold of her hand and then proceeded to lead her away from the crowd.

K-Squared - August 6, 2005 03:53 AM (GMT)
Yes Wally noticed and he stood scowling. It was a very dark scowl. Then Jordan walked over to him wanting to know what on earth was wrong. "I'm Gunna find out whats up with that...." Wally told her very quietly, "I know some people, who find stuff out, and I may need your help....."He smiles, but this isn't a nice smile, "Dr. Lane."

She assured him she'd be glad to help while she pressed against him in a manner that suggested they were very familiar.

foreverchanging - August 6, 2005 03:57 AM (GMT)
Alyssa had looked back as she walked since Gregory was too busy thinking about something other than her at the moment. A woman was talking to the man now and she could see Wally looking at her and discussing something. It made her curious to know what he was doing, but with a sudden jerk of the hand she returned facing forward as they walked down the street into the darkness.
