It had been about a week or so since she had been told by Morose what was happening to him. It had angered her. It had also made her incredibly jealous. Yes. Jealous. She was on the prowl tonight. Not for a kill though. Sure, she was hungry but she would make her way to the slaughter house later. She’d spent the past couple of nights searching and studying people... women... in an attempt to try to find who this unknown woman was who was doing whatever it was she was doing to Morose.
Tonight, she was wearing flat black sandals, a short dark grey skirt and a light grey tank top with thin spaghetti straps. Her long flowing red hair was left down instead of being pulled back. Her skin was paler than usual for she had not gone to feed for the past two nights. Her mind had been far too busy to have even bothered with going to feed at the slaughter house.
So far, none of the women she’d been watching and studying struck her as the type that would have done what has been being done to Morose. Dammit. Dammit all to hell. She needed more information about this unknown woman. Some sort of hint as to what exactly she was looking for. She was searching blindly basically.
Her blind searching led her to one of the many cemeteries in the city. She knew this one though. This was the one that she had called home for quite a while. This was the place she’d sired Morose. This was the place where it all started from that night. Ah the memories. She walked slowly over to one of the tombstones. Dainty pale hand ran over the wording as she knelt down in front of it. It belonged to a mere child. How sad. And this would be how she stayed for a little while. Thinking. Of a lot of things. Thinking. About her life. Or lack there of.

Really Viv has no reason to be near a cemetary at all, but the dealer who owed her money wanted to pay her here. Friggin creep. Viv wasn't going to make him any loans in the future, nor would she engage in any collections for him. He was the worst sort of garbage.
Viv had never been crazy about the low life's she sometimes associated with, but she had to admit most had more morals than this one did. He had two hookers passed out in the backseat. His son who looked about twelve was with him. What sort of an asshole brings their kid out on drug deals and to pick up prostitiutes anyway? The bottom of the barrel in Viv's oppinion. Still she may have been able to let it all go...but nope.....this guy had to assert his dick heaedness.....
Viv had led him over to the truck, she wasn't going to talk busines in front of the kid....the kid didn't need to hear the sort of things she had to say to someone who didn't have all her money. She was about ready to accept this piece of shit's groveling and tell him to have the full amount in a week with interest when the kid came over. "I'm tired Daddy, can't we go home yet...."
That alone was enoguh reason for Viv to let it go, he should take the boy home and out of this unsavory element. Just as quick as she thought it though she heard the loud Crack! as the boy got smacked upside the head.
It pised her off, insanely, Viv isn't exactly a stable person form the get go. She had the dealer up in the air by the throat in less than a heartbeat. " You fuckin prick!" she swore at him. "Go wait in the car, you're dad will be done very soon." she told the boy. He looked terrified for his father but he obeyed.
Viv slammed the object of her wrath against her truck. She held him against the side of it with her right hand while her left hand opened her driver's side door and reached in for the tool belt. She slid it around her hips easily even one handed.
She switched hands once it was on. Her left hand held the dealer aloft and petrified, while her right drew the five speed cordless drill from it's holster on her belt. She held it right next to his left ear and gave the trigger a squeeze. It whirred, she grinned. "How would you like it if I shoved this in your ear and twisted?" she asked in a voice like velvet but full of contempt. He shooke his head speechless and trembling in her grasp. The sharp smell of fear and urine filled the air as Viv set the drill blade in his ear.
"Do I have your undivided attention?" she asked in the same deadly crooning southern accent. He nodded furiously. "Good, now look into my eyes when I talk to you so I'm sure you're paying attention....if I lose your attention I'll depress the trigger to get it back." she told him. He nodded and didn't dare break eye contact.
"You have a week to get me my money, with 25 per cent interest. I'll be watching you, I'll have everyone that owes me watching you. And if I ever hear you hit that kid again....I'm gonna come screw your brains out, only not the way those two whores in your car would." She assured him maliciously. He nodded and she withdrew the drill, giving it another whir before reholstering it.
She put him down and he started running. "And hire a fucking baby sitter, I catch you cuttting deals with the kid and I'll kill you." she told him more loudly as he moved away. He tripped several times on the way to his car. He wouldn't take his eyes off her to watch where he was going.
Finally he sped out of the cemetary. She threw the tool belt into the truck and stood watching him drive away.
oneofmanysouls - July 23, 2005 08:09 PM (GMT)
She hadn’t seen the truck when she’d arrived at the cemetery. Either she was too lost in thought to notice it or she had been too lost in thought to hear it arrive. However, she did hear the second vehicle arrive. It had startled her really. She hadn’t expected for anyone to be here near the middle of the night like this. She stood up slowly and crept away from the headstone she’d been crouched in front of and moved silently into the shadows of the surrounding trees. She would creep close enough to see what was going on.
As she neared, she heard voices. One voice sounded quite pissed off. And female. She stayed in the shadows and crept as close as she could to try and get a look of the people that were there. She didn’t look towards the car so didn’t see the child and two whores. She was more focused on the female and other person. She couldn’t tell yet if the other person was male or female. A flash of metal drew her attention closer still. She jumped slightly at the sound of the drill. Wait. A drill? Her eyes narrowed into angry slits.
For the time being, she opted to just stand back and watch. Her vampire senses picked up the smell of fear and urine so very strongly that she felt like vomiting right then and there. She’d also figured out that the other person was a man. She listened to the conversation with only minimal interest. It was the woman that held her attention mostly. Her green eyes, usually bright but currently dull from lack of feeding for almost three nights in a row, not once left the woman as the man made his quick departure.
“You,” she called out from the shadows. “You’re the one!” she spat in an accusing manner. “You’re the one I’ve been wasting time looking for!” Yup. This had to be her. The drill was what made Enyo certain that this was the bitch she was seeking. Her voice was angry. Very angry. She’d still not come out from the shadows. Nope. Not yet.
K-Squared - July 23, 2005 08:34 PM (GMT)
Now most people would be at least alarmed maybe even afraid to have a voice call them out that way from within the cemetary, then again Viv isn't most people.
She doesn't even turn she simply leans against her truck. She's the bully, and the world is her play ground from her perspective.
She answered in her crooning velvety and obviously insincere voice. "Well look no further cause here I am."
oneofmanysouls - July 23, 2005 08:45 PM (GMT)
Shadows continue to envelop her even as she slowly makes her way closer. "You're the bitch who's put some sort of spell over a very dear friend of mine. I'm here to tell you to just back off and leave him alone!" Yep. She's angry. She also, obviously, doesn't know who she's messing with.
K-Squared - July 23, 2005 08:54 PM (GMT)
That certainly piques Viv's interest she doesn't use spells often, but lately she's been using a lot of them on people messing with her brother. She snorts. "MMMmm yeah you give me a good reason to back off." she sneers in that southern accent of hers.
She crosses her arms over her chest as she leans against the truck and closes her eyes. Her silohette stands out in sharp contrast against teh white truck as she's clad in dark bue denim work clothes.
She's fearless to begin with, but thinking that this person is trying to defend one of her brother's antagonists just fuels her rage. What's the worst thing that can happen here anyway, she'll get hurt, which will only work to her advanatage.
oneofmanysouls - July 23, 2005 09:04 PM (GMT)
She continued to slowly walk out of the trees but kept the shadows tightly surrounding her. Oh the joys of being a vampire. "You just leave him the fuck alone. I know Morose hasn't done a damn thing to you. Just stay away from him."
No. Morose was not one of the people messing with her brother. "As his sire..." Pause. Dammit. Ah well. "I demand that you stay as far away from him as you can."
((It's a shitty reply cause my stupid phone rang and made me lose my train of thought <_< ))
K-Squared - July 23, 2005 09:20 PM (GMT)
Here she leans forward with graceful swagger and murmurs a few words....gibberish to the untrained ear....to some one in the know she's spelled her own vision to better see what she now knows to be a vampire.
"Oh so that's your friend. I haven't used a spell on him. Mage blood has side affects.....especially when you drink from a blood mage. As for staying away, I'll need stronger persuasion than that." She sounds almost amused, it somehow figures the pacifist vampire would be named Morose.
oneofmanysouls - July 23, 2005 09:27 PM (GMT)
She was now entirely out of the trees but still cloaked with the shadows. Her small frame entirely hidden, or so she thought. Oh yes. She is indeed a vampire. A hungry vampire at that. She had been about to give up her search for the night to finally go and feed after having not done so for the past two nights due to losing track of time. However, things obviously changed.
Her green eyes were ablaze with hatred and anger towards this woman whose name she still did not know. She wasn't asking for it either. "Just do it. He's done nothing to you." Her forward movement had continued until she was now quite near to where the woman was standing. The shadow cloak wrapped tightly around the small vampress. "Just stay away from him," she hissed viciously. Her voice giving away just how close she'd gotten.
K-Squared - July 23, 2005 09:35 PM (GMT)
Vivienne knows exactly where she is. "Or what you'll hurt me, Please." she says.
She looks smug, very smug as she shifts on the balls of her feet to lean in closer and whisper, "I can see you." and laugh.
"Now what are you going to do if I don't leave your childer alone? Are you going to feed on me, because that could be enough to persuade me."she says, again fearless.
oneofmanysouls - July 23, 2005 09:54 PM (GMT)
Enyo made a growling sort of sound as the woman seemed to be taunting her. Surprise flashed over her face at the woman saying she could see her. Fine then. Enyo let the shadows drop from around her. Her dainty feminine form would be entirely visible now.
Her face twisted into a look of disgust at the words of the woman. "I don't feel on the living." Stupid Enyo. Why are you even bothering with telling this woman this? "I'm sure there is some sort of creative way to make you suffer if you don't stay away from him."
K-Squared - July 23, 2005 10:00 PM (GMT)
"OOOoohh please, make me suffer." she says sarcastically. Another pacifist vampire, what was the world coming to. "I might feel like one of the living you refuse to feed on then."
Viv is quite used to looks of disgust, she is afterall a monster. She makes a dismissive gesture, "Run along before you wake up my devil, and I lose my patience." she says turning towards her truck.
oneofmanysouls - July 23, 2005 10:15 PM (GMT)
Not even thinking about what she was doing, Enyo reached out to shove the woman in the back. "Stay the fuck away from him bitch!" she yelled. Wow. Enyo actually can still get quite angry. She may be dainty and fragile looking but she's far from being weak in the least.
K-Squared - July 23, 2005 10:25 PM (GMT)
Viv turned, her eyes alight with something entirely unwholesome. "Never make a sneak attack unless you intend it to do lasting damage. It pisses your opponents off." she said.
She stood now facing the vampire. She really has grown much more powerful over the last month it's the constant magic use and self inflicted pain regimine. A blow from a vampie should have knocked her down in didn't though. "Now is that the best you can do, attack me from behind while touting yourself off as some sort of superior vampire who won't feed on the living....."She laughs. The pain from being struck already a faded memory.
"Come on, do your worst, you know you want to." Viv taunts, she makes the sort of faces a pouty fifteen year old girl might make on hearing she can't get a new puppy. Her voice is syrupy and goading at the same time. After all she wants to get hurt.
oneofmanysouls - July 23, 2005 10:34 PM (GMT)
“I don’t give a damn who I piss off,” she spat at the other. “I know what you’re trying to do and it’s not going to work!” Nope. It wasn’t. Morose had told her what had happened. She wasn’t stupid. Nope. Not at all.
K-Squared - July 23, 2005 10:42 PM (GMT)
"You really have no idea do you? You've already struck me, You're childer exercised much more restraint on our first meeting. It matters not though, If I enrage you I win, if not, what happens to me....really....you follow me around and pester me. Suit yourself, eventually I'll get irritated enough to crush you like an annoying bug." she took a deep breath then and again flicked her hand dismisively as if shooing a fly. This time the movement was charged with magic though, and the ripple of energy struck the vampire as solidly as a physical blow. "Walk away while you can." Vivienne warns.
oneofmanysouls - July 23, 2005 11:10 PM (GMT)
"You're the one who has no idea. I am here on behalf of the one I sired. Of course he'll have exercised more restraint. He is not like me. I have been what I am for a lot longer than he has. I feel no need to restrain my anger. Especially not when it is you who has caused that anger."
She was forced to take a step or two backwards from the energy blow. Still, she did not leave. "Do you think for one minute that I am afraid of you? Do you? You're wrong if you do. There is only one thing I fear in my own pathetic life. And you are not it."
She then began to walk slowly but steadily towards the woman. One would think that 'death' of some sort would be her biggest fear. It wasn't.
K-Squared - July 23, 2005 11:19 PM (GMT)
Vivienne understands that death isn't often what most people fear, not if they have a shred of humanity to them anyway. . "If you don't stop pestering me I may give up my other pursuits and decide to make your friend's existance hell on earth full time, yours too, if you continue to press me. I have nothing to lose...truly....and you have given me no reason at all to do anything but come up with creative ways to make you squirm.....do you want to imagine the ways I can come up with? As for restraint, I gain if you do or don't. Now leave me alone and stop being self righteous, I'm not the one who made him a vampire." she says there is no sarcasm here only logic, as strange as Viv's logic can be.
oneofmanysouls - July 23, 2005 11:51 PM (GMT)
That was all it took. Having it shoved in her face, yet again, about her being the one who had caused Morose to become a vampire. The anger flared in her green eyes. Her face went even paler than it already was which just showed how long it had been since she’s fed.
“Find yourself another play toy. Leave him alone. He’s done nothing to deserve you bothering him. You’re fucking up his life.” Ha! Now isn’t that funny Enyo. Who, exactly, is it that fucked up his life? Hm... We all know the answer to THAT one. “This is your last warning.”
K-Squared - July 24, 2005 12:00 AM (GMT)
"Fucking up his life...he's a vampire, did you miss that? You'll turn someone like him, but refuse to feed on a monster like me.....stop trying to brow beat me, I understand hypocracy."
And then she laces her words with magic, call it a suggeston, compulsion or a curse if you like, but Viv speaks and the words work to bind, though it could take a while for them to reach full potency, "Stop going against your nature."
He isn't a play toy, you really don't know anything about bloodmagic you've made it obvious." she's getting frustrated and the magic is growing.....swelling with in her....almost out of control.
oneofmanysouls - July 24, 2005 12:19 AM (GMT)
Her eyes narrowed. "So I made a fuckin mistake. So shoot me. Oh wait, that won't work. Get over it. Everyone makes at least one mistake in their miserable lives." She was almost torn between being angry and being disappointed in... herself! Enyo isn't one to swear much though. So this would surely be a shocker for Morose if he were here to hear her mouth right now.
Her top two fangs lowered out of 'hiding' and sank into her bloodless bottom lip. A slight feeling waved over her. One that she'd not felt in a while. She ignored it though. It wasn't a very strong feeling and so was thus easily ignored. For the moment anyway.
Her top fangs tore out of her bloodless bottom lip as she opened her mouth to speak. "Going searching for him doesn't make him your playtoy? Right. Like I'm going to believe that for even half a second."
K-Squared - July 24, 2005 12:29 AM (GMT)
"I don't leave my toys out, I put them away. does it appear to you I've put your friend away.....? You can have your one mistake, now go or this may prove to be your second one. " she said. Her voice is trange sounding, it has a hollow ring to it, but it rings with power. Her eyes take on an unearthly light.
The magic is surging at her now, she'll need the pain to control it soon. A small trickle of blood starts from Viv's nose. "Go before I can't control what's happening." Viv warns.
oneofmanysouls - July 24, 2005 12:42 AM (GMT)
Enyo laughed. Yup. Laughed. "Are you threatening me?" More laughter. She did, however, notice the change in the woman's voice and the change in her eyes as well.
"What the hell is your problem?" she asks in a snippy tone. She was about to say more when the scent of blood smacked her in the face. She closed her eyes for a moment and inhaled deeply.
"Stop it," she demands as she pulls a cloth from a hidden pocket in her skirt. She tosses the cloth napkin towards the woman. "Here. Take it." Before the scent gets to me.
K-Squared - July 24, 2005 01:05 AM (GMT)
It wasn't a threat it was a warning, it should be clear something is very wrong, blood should not glow in the dark. The cloth does no good, by the time the nose is staunched, the ears have begun to drip.....At least she has the sense to construct a mgical shield around herself. She doesn't even care if the vampire hears her words of magic at this point,
If only the damned thing will go so she can deal with the surges alone. Perhaps another hand full of razorblades chewed up or drilling a hole through her hand....but not with the vampire here if the fool thing refuses to feed...."Damned pacifist vampires...' she mumbles the magic continues to pool out with the blood in some instances it looks red, and as it drips on the ground it takes on a blue cast....but the glow is decidedly unwholesome.
oneofmanysouls - July 24, 2005 02:37 AM (GMT)
Enyo continued to just stand there... watching... smelling the blood. Dammit. This was tough. She was still forcing herself to keep control. The scent of the blood was nearly driving her to the edge though. She had kept her eyes closed for several minutes before they finally forced themselves open. The moment she did, her eyes immediately went to the places the blood was visible. Her fangs dropped down and were fully visible. Her mouth was partially agape.
She began to walk towards it. Slowly. It was like she was being drawn forward by the sight and scent of the blood. She'd not yet fed in nearly three nights. She was hungry. Stop it she cried out to herself. He'll be so mad if you do this. It was like she couldn't even hear herself thinking at this point. The scent of the fresh blood was luring her in.
She was jolted slightly by a sudden tingly shock. She blinked. Her feet continued to carry her forward though. "Stop it," she whispered horsely to herself as she continued towards the bleeding mage. She closed her eyes again for a brief moment as she whispered a brief apology... to Morose. "Forgive me..."
And then she did it. She moved closer and closer to the woman until she was able to lean upwards (Enyo is short the poor thing) and sink her fangs into whatever part she managed to reach. Too bad she didn't wear heels tonight.
K-Squared - July 24, 2005 02:51 AM (GMT)
Well the sheild proved useles, though it answered a few questions Viv had always wondered about. Then she let the shield slip away....useless....The vampire was drawn to the blood of coarse.....disturbing as Viv felt the bite.....she clenched her teeth more from the awkward angle of it than from the pain, oh it hurt, and it would help her regain control, but she was thinking....why was the sire so weak willed compared to the childer, the books all taught that it was a vampires age that leant it part of it's powers, Viv suspected an individuals will and conviction might carry over though. She closed her eyes......the angle of the bite was still annoying.
She pushed the vampire off for a moment it took magic and strength to do it. "Wait...." she rasped, a trail of blood glowed on her from the bite now. She knelt and then let the vampire go, it's not as if she could be killed or turned, not this way at any rate. She offered no resistance only kneeling there with a balled up reserve of energy to break off the feeding when she must. Torrents of magic and madness flowed through her and she could already feel them it this vampire as she could in the other one.
oneofmanysouls - July 24, 2005 03:58 AM (GMT)
She used to have fairly good self control. Well, better than just fairly good. But how long had it been since she had actually sank her fangs into living flesh? Far, far too long. It also didn't help that her own sire had never taught her anything. All that she knew thus far, was entirely self taught. An overly emotional vampire teaching herself the things she needed to know. Yeah. Right.
It wasn't just the woman who was annoyed by the angle of the bite. Enyo was completely annoyed by it. However, she was even more annoyed at being pulled off of the woman. A sound that could almost be considered a growl escaped from her as her eyes remained fixated on the trail of blood coming from the woman's neck.
Imagine the delight that shone in her now brightening green eyes as the woman sank to her knees and let go of Enyo. She quickly lunged forward again and sank her teeth into the side of the woman's neck. She was already starting to feel... odd?... from what she'd taken from the woman thus far. That didn't stop her though. Her hunger and... desire for human blood... was far too strong for her to even consider stopping at the moment.
Her head was starting to feel like it was spinning. Her nostrils flared as she sucked even more harshly on the womans neck. This... was... different. Yes. So very different indeed. She couldn't even begin to try to explain the things she was starting to feel the more she drank.
K-Squared - July 24, 2005 11:45 AM (GMT)
The second bite was better, wasn't it always. Bands of tension and madness flowed away with her bood. It hurt horribly, but with the pain came clarity, clarity which was becoming harder to find without this process. Power was trickling away too, and though she could hold an increasing capacity as the days wore on, there were still times when she held more than she could keep in check. So far she hadn't hurt anyone with it, she'd found ways to avoid it, she was now conviced though that it was going to be hard for her to die when the tie came.....even a mere month ago being fed on like this would have killed her if she didn't remain in control, now that was highly unlikely.
She could feel the vampire beginning to swoon with the magic. Her eyes were closed and her teeth clenched, "Slow down, tooo much at once can hurt you."She warned throguh cleched teeth. She shouldn't care, most of the time she didn't about vampires, but this one was the other one's sire.....Morose she had said his name was earlier, the vampire with more humanity than Viv.....he was a source of fascination, and maybe in a twisted way of inspiration. He seemed hell bent on not doing any harm, Viv had been once, it was hard to remember lately why she shouldn't. The pacifist vampire was a good reminder.
This one was different though, so much unchecked emotion and undisciplined vampiric power, Vivienne really did find it hard to believe she was the sire, what she could feel as blood and magic flowed between them coroboarted the story though.
"Easy....."she cautioned again, as the vampire began to feed more quickly and more destructive magic bled away....."You'll lose yourself to madness if you aren't careful........"she was hissing the words around her own pain, she felt better though, she was no longer at the mercy of her own magic. It was time to end this soon so she could rest and regenerate.
oneofmanysouls - July 24, 2005 07:36 PM (GMT)
She couldn’t help herself. She had no control over herself at the moment. None. Her sire had never taught her control. How she had managed to control herself when she made up her mind to change Morose was beyond her. Any other time, Enyo had absolutely no control over herself when she fed. She continued to drink. It was starting to hurt. Why did it hurt? Since when did feeding hurt? Her fangs held their position in the woman’s neck.
Stop it... Just stop it... her mind kept screaming at her. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest. Harder than she remembered it ever having pounded before. Not even when she was mortal. Her breathing was becoming faster as she sucked harder on the woman’s neck. Stop it!
She didn’t hear the woman telling her to slow down. She didn’t hear the warning being given to her. No. She was lost. Lost in her need to feed. Lost in the desire for living blood again. One of her dainty hands came up and grabbed the back of the woman’s head to pull her closer to Enyo. The vampire’s eyes had glazed over entirely by now. Yes. She was lost. So very lost.
Tears began to well up in her glazed over eyes. They squeezed shut and the tears began to fall. Forgive me... were the thoughts racing through her mind. Please... Morose... Forgive me... I... I am weak... The tears continued to flow from her eyes. They weren’t salty mortal tears. No. They were tears of blood. Strange blood. Different blood. Blood that she had never tasted before.
It took everything she had in her to finally tear herself away. Her fangs tore through the flesh on the woman’s neck and left rips in their wake. She stumbled backwards several steps before she sank to her knees on the ground. Blood dripped from her fangs, over her chin and onto her blouse. Her glazed eyes still crying blood were locked on the woman’s neck still. Her breathing was quick as she tried so hard to restrain herself and stay put instead of going back.
“I... I... oh fuck...” she whispered so very softly. Morose. He was going to be so angry with her. Maybe enough to never speak to her again. That very thought caused her to go to the ground on her rump instead of just being on her knees. She tore her bleeding eyes away from the woman’s neck to look at the woman’s face. “What... what have I done... what... what have I done...?” she whispered sadly over and over.
K-Squared - July 24, 2005 11:46 PM (GMT)
"I did try to warn you off." Viv said. The hollow eerie quality to her voice was gone again. "Sit still a bit you drank too much. I was about to stop you, it's good I didn't have to." She was alrady healing the torn flesh on her neck. The punctures from the first bite were already closed. The regeneration wasn't even second thought to Viv now.
She stood then looking around. "What have you done indeed...." Vivienne said very softly but her voice trailed off. She could feel two distinct vessels of her magic now, two vampires carrying it around, it spoke to Viv much like a beacon. Which was how Viv knew Morose was coming. She suspected the other vampire could tell as well.
Massacist - July 25, 2005 08:31 AM (GMT)
How she had managed to control herself when she made up her mind to change Morose was beyond her. It’s amazing, after all of his resistance and all of his struggling that she didn’t just let him die. Or that she didn’t become more then frustrated with him when he sprayed blood back into her face or when he yelled and screamed at her, fought her while she fed and while she’d made him feed. It still confused him. Maybe her need for companionship was simply that deep. But he still didn’t understand, of all people in the world, why him? A man who bowed at graves of people he never knew and wore a cross around his neck. Other people would have begged for immortality.
Morose had already been near the cemetery when the...exchange had begun. He’d been lurking, I say lurking because I am the Lurk master and because that is simply what Morose does, Lurk with a purpose, in a much smaller cemetery not very far from the cemetery that he had been sired in. He’d left the small fenced in cemetery much earlier then he’d expected, less then half way through the tomb stones actually, to find himself running to close the short distance to that one horrifying place. As he could feel Jex, safely at work (I’m assuming. I will speak to Tor on this note I think), just out of his reach among his senses, he could feel the pull of Viv’s magic at the edge of his awareness. What had him running at such an inhuman speed towards that cemetery was not Viv alone, it was that he could feel the weight he felt when Enyo was near. When his sire was close, it felt like comfort and trouble in the same emotion. Viv was somewhere near, Enyo was somewhere near.
He shouldered through the gate, ran through such a firmiluar territory, running almost directly to where Enyo’s crypt had once stood. It was not there any longer and he stood helplessly in the patch of freshly turned dirt. He was tall among the low headstones, but as they were both on the ground it was nearly impossible for him to see them, though he could sense them both incredibly near. He wore a fishnet, short sleeved shirt over bare and deadly pale flesh that revealed many fingernail-formed scratches and obviously vampire puncture wounds over his shoulders and arms. His pants sat hip-bone low on his waist and flared around his legs, the straps in the back criss-crossing, the zippers and rings gleaming in the moonlight. His thin body looked skeletal against the moonlight, the rarely seen muscle looked chiseled against the darkness behind him. His features seemed etched and pale and hansom. His hair looked blond in the white moon instead of flaming red. Behind his ear, scratching the unbleeding skin, was that long steamed red rose, sealed up in wax. Obviously, he’s not fed. Probably would not.
His blue eyes scanned the cemetery, turning in circles on that patch of dirt until he found the truck. He moved towards it, weaving through the stones as if he belonged there, moving towards the truck and the tighter pull of two separate energies. As he neared enough to see them both, to smell what they had done, he ceased moving, stared at Viv for a long time, a fearful and resenting look creeping over his saddened eyes, and then they moved to fall on Enyo. His blue gaze didn’t waver, was like a weight, trying to bare down on her. One might think that he were the sire and her the child, he the master and her the servant.
Then the shadows shifted as he began to pull them around him. But his heavy gaze never became shadowed or hidden. They stayed, unwavering on his master, keeping Viv just within his sight, and remaining nearly ten feet back from them, as if appalled to be near either of them.

She couldn’t hear the words of the other. Not right now. Her mind was lost. Not lost in the sense that she was going insane and would never get it back. No. Lost as in freaking out about what she’d done. She didn’t have to be told to sit still for she was already doing just that. Her chin was touching her chest as the blood tears rolled from her eyes. This is the part of being quite the emotional vampire that sucked the most. It really didn’t take a whole lot to break her into tears. However, this was so much worse in her mind.
Everything raced through her mind at this very moment in time. Everything from when she’d been a mortal child, to when she was attacked and changed, the horrible ways her sire treated her and the things he did to her, leading her own sire to his death, being alone, changing Morose, being alone. It was, however, the being alone bits that stuck in her mind so strongly. She couldn’t bare to be alone and that was why she had changed him. And now, he was going to be so angry with her. She had given up feeding on living things for him. All for him. And now, this happened. She wanted to vomit.
She could feel him. For the first time since she had changed him, she could feel him. Quite strongly too. Why hadn’t she been able to feel him before? Had she done something wrong during the changing of him to screw up the formation of that link between sire and ‘child’? She must have because she hadn’t been able to feel him before. If she had been able to, she wouldn’t have wandered around lost and alone for so long before he found her again.
This was different. So very different. She could feel him almost as if he were right there beside her. Wait a minute. Her sensitive ears picked up the sound of footsteps racing through the cemetery. Closer and closer the sound came. She could feel him. So strongly. So very strongly. It almost felt as though he were in a state of panic, or near panic. Or worry? She couldn’t tell entirely really. She was far too distressed in her own mind to be able to even attempt to try to tell.
And then he was there. She could feel him. She lifted her head slightly to begin to try to look around. His eyes were burning into her. She could feel him. Blood tears continued to spill forth from her eyes as she found his eyes. She cringed visibly and dropped her head again. That feeling of wanting to vomit raced over her again. She opened her mouth to try to speak but nothing came out. Nothing but blood still dripping from her fangs and tongue. Dripping right onto her light grey blouse. Her mouth shut again and she just sat there. Crying.

Morose took several steps forward, his eyes softening when he saw the bloody tears on her cheeks, the sappy bleeding heart. He stopped then though, when the scent of Viv's blood reached him, when he'd seen the blood on Enyo's lips and chin. She'd fed from Viv, from the one human he'd ever fed from, from the human he wanted most for her not to feed from if she were going to fed at all of one.
His blue eyes hardened then, all of the emotion going away, just draining out of his eyes to become those empty, imposing spaces in his skull. Uh oh, Enyo should realize what he's doing by this point. Morose just suddenly seemed like he was everywhere, all around them. His pressance seemed to surround them in a circle, the feel of him, the smell of him, the sense of him. All of the musty scent of the graves was drowned under the faint smell of roses and wax.
It seemed like he'd grown taller, his hair reder, his eyes bluer. Everything about him seemed clearer, more focused. And suffocating. It's a very obvious vampire's trick, but Morose seems to fall into it when he's angry. This, the speed, and the shadows he uses to his advantage, everything else he doesn't touch. But this, even to one of the bravest, or stupidest, or craziest people, could seem sufocating and frightening. And he'd discovered just two days ago that this trick worked, not only on humans but on other vampires as well.
He started to walk forward, then stopped again, his hard blue gaze flicking from Enyo to Viv. He didn't seem certian who he was more angry with.

The vampire's tricks were not frightening, however it was very annoying. Unsettling to have going on at the fringes of her senses which were already blunted by the affecdts of her regeneration. The regeneraion sometimes made things seem distorted anyway, so this leant the process a quality that made her slightly dizzy. As for the suffocating feeling, well that felt more invasive, aftera ll Viv doesn't like people in her personal space unless eh put them there.
She knows this isn't real though and so she keeps her eyes closed for a time. It will ease the transition as she regenerates anyway. She probes her spells, most are broken, apparently she's let them all slip at some point during the feeding. She could repair the damage later. For now she hoped her brother was alright without them in place. As the process draws to a close, which doesn't take long, she regains awareness of her surroundings in spite of her closed eyes.
She has no desire for pain at the moment but she does not fear it either. She has nothing to fear here so she bides her time. It will be interestign to se how Morose acts when he isn't running away from her. While she is aware fo both vampires through her magic, it is more like a beacon or proximity warning, it tells her nothing more about them unless she calls to her blood within them. While she is curious, she does not, she believes it would taint them, and sadly she is aware right now, she has tainted these two enough already. There is only a fleeting twinge of regret though, oh so very fleeting.........

She flinched visibly as she felt him moving towards her but then he stopped. She cringed then for she knew, without having to look up, that he knew. He knew what she’d done. She gasped suddenly as she felt what he was doing. Yes. It bothered her when he did it for she knew that he was angry. Very angry.
“Morose...” she finally whispered hoarsely. “I... I’m sorry...” Sorry? Sorry probably wouldn’t cut it this time. She knew this. But she didn’t know what else to do. She didn’t know what else to say. Yes, one would easily be able to believe that he was the sire and she was the ‘child’ if they didn’t know any better. She couldn’t lift her head to even look at him. Without even realizing she was doing so, she tried to make herself even smaller than she already was.

He stared at Viv for a long time, knowing well that she didn't fear him but that his own form of magic, made stronger by her blood and magic having been in him at all, would bother her. He continued to stare at her as if he could see directly through her. He wanted her to die, it was time for her to leave them alone. But then his fingers went up to his fishnet shirt, touching the black cross that lay against his chest.
He flicked his eyes again to Enyo when she started to speak and his eyebrows knited to a frown. And then he glared at her. She'd fed on human's blood, and we're back to stage one where Morose ridiculed her for feeding from humans, where he screamed and shouted at her for turning him.
If you hate it so much why would you curse anyone else with it!? Why me!?
And she'd stopped feeding on humans, and now she was just doing it again. And she was going to be a monster again, an ungodly creature who prayed on peoples lives. She would continue to trade dozens of mortal lives to feed her immortal life. Like she'd done before.
And her, Morose's eyes flicked to Viv again. He would have been willing to feed from her ten times over before letting her goad Enyo into doing this. He'd have been willing to feed her her so wanted pain if she would just leave his alone. She could have him if she'd just leave his alone, his Enyo and to leave the very few people he truely cared for alone. He took all of these feelings, about both of them, and tried, without knowing if it would work, to push them down two of the three lines he felt were connected to him. He tried to push them at Viv and Enyo. He was sheilding Jex, pretending he wasn't there. He didn't want Viv to find Jex. He didn't want anyone to find Jex. So he hide him.
"You bitch." *gasp* Morose never swore. Ever. It was an unwritten law that Morose just doesn't swear. It's not clear, as he looks between the two women, who he's actually talking to.

Yes, Viv could feel what he ws doing, and that he was shielding someone, beyond awareness of it though, she simply let it wash over her. Control was crucial at such times.....she had long schooled herself in control. So his actions did not influence her emotions, nor did his insult, she assumed he meant both of them with it.
She took a deep breath and opened her eyes. "It wasn't planned, at least I don't believe she planned on finding me and feeding on me. You should not blame her, she was trying to protect you." Viv said her voice was devoid of emotion but it was not tainted with magic either.
"You shouldn't have run the last time, this could have been prevented.....I have no way to fix it now." She told him.
And then to the other, "It wasn't your fault." with a trace of, sympathy, no surely not from Viv.

She still hadn’t yet lifted her head to look at him. She couldn’t. She wouldn’t. Not unless he demanded of her to do so. She was ashamed. Ashamed of herself for having been weak enough to give in as she did. She cringed and forced herself to feel even smaller as she felt his glaring eyes upon her again. Bloody tears continued to roll silently down her face.
Yes. She could feel what he was feeling. Only because he was forcing it upon her. She turned her head then. Away from him. She stumbled badly as she tried to push herself to her feet. Why was she getting up? Why was she even bothering? To try to remove herself from his anger. To remove her disgusting self from his sight.
She tried harder to get to her feet to go away when that word escaped from his mouth. She gasped and tripped forward slightly. Forward in the wrong direction from the way she had meant to go. She had meant to go away from him. Not nearer to him. But she did. She ended up stumbling to her feet only to trip and land on her knees almost in front of him. And still, she said nothing. There was nothing for her to say. Not even to the woman telling her that it wasn’t her fault.
She felt it was though. She should have learned to be able to control herself after all this time of being a vampire. But no. She hadn’t. She didn’t really know that she could. She was never taught. Her sire had kept her locked away, not wanting to let her have anything to do with the rest of the world. Still, she kept silent.

It wasn't planned, at least I don't believe she planned on finding me and feeding on me.
He glared at her, the weight of him not lifting from the air but growing heavier with his anger. He said nothing. He still wasn't sure who he was more angry with, the woman who had goaded him into feeding from her, or the woman who fed from her. When Enyo fell almost at his feet, he took a step backwards as if disgusted.
You should not blame her, she was trying to protect you
"Protecting me does not mean...." He'd shouted the words, then cut himself short, clenching his jaw. He then bent and put his hands on both sides of Enyo's face, forcing her to look at Viv. It smeared her bloody tears over his fingers. And even though he hadn't fed yet, he felt no desire to lick the blood as he usually might. "That's a human Enyo! A human!" He gave her a little shake as if to emphasize the point, though he didn't hold her tightly. "What if she were a different human? You would have killed! Murderer." He let go of her face abruptly then, stared Viv down. "You should have found me! I know you can! If I can find you you can find me!"
You shouldn't have run the last time
He snarled then, taking steps towards her, his frame towering over both of theirs. "I had every right to run! You make me do things I shouldn't! You make me feel things I don't want to feel!" He pointed back at Enyo. "And your going to do it to her! Arn't I enough! Isn't ruining one life enough for you?" He'd stopped breathing.
K-Squared - July 25, 2005 08:41 PM (GMT)
"Enough, spare her your contempt at least and take her from here. I will leave you both alone unless you call for me,.... but do not mistreat her, this has been quite enough already, if you can't tell. Your anger serves neither of you, I am the only one who benefits from it. Go now, I won't try to find you again." there is not remorse in her voice, but she is not taunting or moching either, perhaps it is so hard to tell what her voice carries because Viv doesn't know herself what has come over her.
She should be angry at the impudence of two vampires that don't even know what they are.....instead though she is angry at herself. The madness had been so all encompassing it was hard to see she was robbing them of their virtues.....the virtuous are not Viv's victims, she has always intended her victims be the virtueless and other monsters like her self.....not ones such as these.
It was startling to think they had not been exploited before her. She wouldn't interfere with them again, but it would be bad if anyone else did.....bad for whoever did it, since she could feel these two. She would know if they were tampered with further.
