Title: All dressed up and nowhere to go
Description: for Arc

Sinister was irritated. Not a normal feeling for the boy but he'd been stood up and locked out. He was also likely to miss the call from his caseworker now that he'd be stuck with no ride back to Keaton. He had on his angry face, which on Sin just looks pouty. Here he was walking around on Elm street dressed in his only suit and lugging his laptop to demonstrate a computer program to someone who'd stood him up. Yep he's ticked, to top all this off he has no bottled water. Stupid shop owner really wanted this program for his travel agency but couldn't even show up to meet with Sin about it. Jerk!!
So Sinister stalks down the side walk looking pouty and unintimidating. No one really pays him any mind at all. This just fuels his anger.

Wine red hair is tousled and in his face, brushed but in no real semblance of order. Silver eyes, aided by thin-rimmed, oval-shaped silver glasses are cast downward, and deep pink lips are set into a slight frown. His cheeks are too pale, and dotted with freckles. His face looks a little young for his age.
Hands, small and thin are safely tucked away into the pockets of his denim jeans, which hang loose on his frame and barely cling to his hips. His shirt is brown with black and white sleeves that seem to be a bit too long for his arms, and on the front in white, capital letters, it proclaims 'Go commando'.
A black plastic band hangs from his neck like a necklace, a pendant hanging by his throat made by him personally says his name in silver. Rasmus.
He's not doing anything. Just passing through. He offers Sinister a sympathetic glance, however. He's had days like that, he can tell from the facial expression.

Another passerby smarts off to Sinister as Rasmus gives that sympathetic glance. "Is that your daddy's suit?" The voice sneers. It's the type of comment Sinister expects, but it's doubly painful.
"What daddy?" Sinister mumbles. He never knew the man, and he had scarcely known his mother. His cheeks flush in what could be mistaken for embarassment, it is however the heat of anger that has reddened his face.
Arcane Blood - July 20, 2005 09:16 PM (GMT)
It's not Rasmus' business. He shouldn't have stepped in. But that's exactly why he wanted to, and why he did. Because it wasn't his business. It wasn't as if he were a rude person, he just felt the need to stick up for the kid.
"Hey, lay off." Rasmus growled, frowning, too thin eyebrows coming down over his silver eyes, "and shut up, while you're at it."
K-Squared - July 20, 2005 09:33 PM (GMT)
The passerby continues on his way, giving only a snort in acknowledgment to Rasmus's retort.
"You didn't have to, but thanks." Sinister says to his sympathetic defender. His frosty but pouty glare follows the callous windbag who said it till he rounds the corner.
Arcane Blood - July 20, 2005 09:46 PM (GMT)
"I didn't have to, but if I didn't I'd be just as much as an ass as he was." He explained simply, tilting his head back, trying not to look as miserable as he felt. He then looked back down at the much shorter form of the boy, shaking his head.
"If you don't mind me asking, what's the matter?"
K-Squared - July 20, 2005 09:56 PM (GMT)
"The prick," because in Sinister's opinion that's what he was." That run's the travel agency, stood me up. I was supposed to meet him and show him this program I made for him to streamline processing his airline reservations, it does some other things too, but the prick isn't here." Sinister says gesturing towards the offending merchant's business.
"I already sent my taxi back, and now I'll be waiting for another for an hour to two hours. I'll likely miss a very important phonecall because of it too." He says. He should look furious but all he can manage with his golden curls and baby face is exagerated pouty.
Arcane Blood - July 21, 2005 02:45 PM (GMT)
"Woowww. Sounds impressive, kid. I don't see any reason for you to be stood up, other than your age..." he waved a hand gently down towards him. "Not that I mean to offend, but you're so small... I doubt much of anyone takes you seriously." Rasmus should know. He's looked small for all his life. Hell, he could barely pass off for sixteen as it was now.
"Oh?" he asked, seeming interested. "Do you need a ride somewhere?"
K-Squared - July 21, 2005 03:17 PM (GMT)
"Yeah you got that right, hardly anyone takes me seriously. I should ahve known better, the guy was probably jerking my chain when he asked for the program. He and his employees are probably somewhere rught now having a good laugh. "Sinister said. Sometimes he expected people to do and mean what they said.
"I need to get back to Keaton." he answered to the second question. He was certain this would get some scoffing, he looked too young for Keaton, and he knew it.
Arcane Blood - July 21, 2005 04:17 PM (GMT)
"Yeah. Assholes. I don't doubt it." He slumped a little, coming down about two inches with his slouch. "It's too bad. But their loss anyway." He hooked his thumbs on the outside of his jean pockets, frowning only slightly.
"Keaton, hm? I could take you there, if you want." Even if he was just a stranger.
K-Squared - July 21, 2005 04:40 PM (GMT)
Sinister being the trusting soul that he is, probably trusts strangers too much at times, but only the ones he has good feelings about. He nods. "Can you, I'd be on time for my phone call then." he admits. What he doesn't say is that the phone call is from his case worker and missing it could get him in a great deal ot trouble.
(Short forgive me I'm attempting to communicate with the little person in whatever language she speaks as I type this)
Arcane Blood - July 22, 2005 12:26 AM (GMT)
Being too trusting of strangers could get him in trouble some day with a seemingly innocent person. Say, someone such as Logan.
Rasmus gave a faint smile, nodding. "Sure, sure. You'll just have to follow me, 'cause my car's parked a little ways from here." The piece of trash that it was, it still worked (if only barely).
(s'ok. Mine's short too.)
K-Squared - July 22, 2005 12:35 AM (GMT)
Sinister follows. The car didn't look very impressive but if it got him to his dorm on time for Shelly's call he'd be happy. He got in and buckled his seat belt. It takes a few minutes to start the car, once started however all seems to go smoothly.
Arcane Blood - July 22, 2005 12:51 AM (GMT)
Rasmus took a minute to pull open the door for Sinister (yes, he leaves his car unlocked. If it's stolen it's not like it'd really matter that much) and then walked around to open the door for himself.
He started the car... and the engine failed to start. He tried again. No luck. The third time, the engine just barely managed to come to life, and Rasmus pulled out of the curb.
"So, you have a name?" He asked after a couple of minutes of silence, just a couple minutes away from Keaton.
K-Squared - July 22, 2005 12:56 AM (GMT)
"Sin Dempsey." He says. They aren't far from the campus now. "You?" he asks as they pull onto the fringes of the campus grounds. He directs Rasmus to the parking area for his dorms. His watch indicated he had fourteen minutes to spare.
Arcane Blood - July 22, 2005 12:59 AM (GMT)
"Yyyyep." He said in reply, pulling into the parking area. He did have a name. "Rasmus Bennett. Ras for short, or even Rascal, if you want." He parked the car and the engine died out.
"This is the place, right?"
K-Squared - July 22, 2005 01:04 AM (GMT)
Sinister nods. "Is that thing gonna start again or should I call a tow truck for you?" he asks frowning worridly at Ras's car. Then, OH my Gosh, phone call you better just come if you ned to call for a tow....I gotta take this call. he starts moving quicky through the lot and towards the building zigzaging among the parked cars.
